Triumph Acclaim Part 36 Brake System Fluid Flush

- i wanted to use my Sealey automatic brake bleeding kit to do this job but the master cylinder cap on the Triumph Acclaim is non standard and I didn't have an adapter. We had to flush the braking system by bleeding it the old fashioned way. I also fit the newly powder coated heels and new tyres.

Anyone remember the Gunsons ezibleed kit? Used the pressure in the spare tyre to push fluid through. Worked well for me but I heard a few tales of plastic reservoirs splitting with the pressure!

i used to have 2 of them one was an automatic and the other was a four speed they was a nice car to drive no power steering

I have the same Sealey kit they are really good except that the filler lid can leak air a bit, you can buy an adapter that will fit on this style fluid reservoir

Suggestion: Please wipe the tyre bead mounting lube off. It makes a huge difference when you do. I asked a tyre fitter to clean off the lube as it looks horrible left on.
Just to be clear, I know what it's for.
I had one of these Hond...er, Triumphs. Rode nice until the transmission ate itself. Then I bashed it by playing football with is using a Ford truck.

The pressure bleader I have came with a flat adapter cap and uses little chains to clamp it down plus the modern standard one. Did you check the box that it's not missing, unless it's cost cutting and you have to buy it separately now.

@@retrorestore did it list it in the manual? Have a Google for sealey brake and clutch universal adapter. Comes in useful for alsorts if you need to apply pressure to something.

Martin, why do the tires look like they are not seated on the rims tightly? They look further away from the rim edge then typical. Just wondering...

If you had a bleeder with a one way valve on it, it would be faster and you wouldn't have needed to annoy Gary........
