- Age of Empires The Rise of Rome Expansion Tutorial: Getting to the bronze age in under 15 minutes on the Hill Country map type. Bronzing quickly can be difficult for new players. At the same time, this is an important skill in multiplayer games. This tutorial shows a basic strategy on how to get to the bronze age in under 15 minutes on a Hill Country map type. Hill country is a significantly harder map type than for instance Continental to learn, because you cannot rely on an economy consisting of only woodcutters and fishing boats. Effective hunting and map planning is very important.
Note: this is a default setting random map strategy. Strategies for other game settings will be made in the future.

Nice tutorial! I've never played AoE when I was younger but I'm trying to get into it now! Glad to see there are tutorials around for such a classic game!
Yeah, With the announcement of the remaster, I decided to make videos for all the new players, so that they have a place to go to in order to learn the game, strats, etc. There are some other AoE channels around, but all they do is expert game footage and no real tutorials with commentary (in English at least). Most of the tutorial channels are AoE 2.

Nice tutorial, thanks! The only thing I'd change is to lower the volume of the game, as hearing you over it is sometimes a bit hard, or rather, the games makes it slightly uncomfortable.
Would love to see an attempt similar to this one but with no reveal map ( i am very curious about scouting on hill country)

can u put a list on the video? like
1: select tc and press C 4 times
2: put 1 vill to scout after bushes
3: select 2 vills to make a house
4 build a granary next to bushes
5: select the 2 house vills and go foraging
6:etc
also, why do u say dear? when are gazelles?
Is it ok if I put it in the description? Also, about the deer (not dear) thing, gazelle are deer: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Deer. I just prefer to say deer instead of gazelle.
it is ok if u put in description, but i think is better in some place in the video to be more dinamic, and if u put in description make sure to put the time that u made the things (so a person can follow the time as well)
and i dont think they are the same, since they are from a different familia altogether

Are you planning on re-making the tip videos once AoE:DE comes out? Some aspects might change, since they'll implement things like gather points, intelligent villagers, and attack move.
Yes, but I don't know yet how much things will change and what will remain the same. But I am aware that some of these tips might be obselete by then and I will remake videos if there are drastic changes.
But I am guessing that general strategies will remain the same and the changes will only be in some micro management things. I am basing my videos on the UPatch which is what AOE:DE will be based on. Or that it what I keep hearing.

Billie S shhh..I will give you my resource hacks if you promise not to tell anyone....just kidding. I had 10 villagers queued at my town center. 10 x 50 is 500 food. Which is the same amount of food needed to get to the tool age. I simply hit stop to stop making villagers so it gave me back the 500 food I had invested so that I could age up. It is hard to see because I do it so fast. But essentially I just selected my town center and hit 's' to stop training those 10 villagers.
Okay saw that by pausing! It was hard to notice though!
