Great video but I can't get the back of the pin to stick on. I"ve wasted 3 pins now trying. I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong?

Hi there. I just recently saw the button pin kits at Michaels. I am an artist that works with watercolor and pen a lot. I thought it would be great to make my own pins. However, I am wondering if I can use watercolor paper or does it need to be thinner? I saw that the first sample was watercolor so I thought I would ask.

You can totally use watercolor paper! I’ve cut super thick cardstock with the dies!

Hi Stevie, I read your comment about watercolor paper. Did you try your press with this type of thick paper ? I saw your buttons on your Instragram account but I don't know if you used thick paper. I would love to have your opinion about this ! Thanks SO much

@@weallcantbebeautifulpeople6677 oh yes I understand ! When I read all the comments here and there, refills cost so much (wrmk) that you have to make tons of buttons to afford the price of the machine and refills 🙄😱😳

I came to this video hoping to figure out how to replace the pin on the back of an existing button that had broken, not really understanding how buttons are made in the first place. Instead I learned how to use a machine and now kinda wanna make my own buttons

    I think they are overpriced
I have the press but not the material, I haven’t use it yet 😆 at least they are good quality?

I think I paid $70 for my press with a coupon. Not terrible but definitely not super cheap. I’ve been in my craft room making birthday pins to include as gift toppers!
