The most interesting idea here is the cable pulley system and its the most effective one due to the weight is being lifted straight up from the ground, not like the other options that move the weight from back to front and slightly upwards

Great builds. My home gym has never been better. Why the forstner but over a spade bit? Don't they do the same thing?

Thanks Hunter! You can you use either. That being said, I prefer Forstner bits in general. In my experience, there is less of a risk of a blow out on the bottom of the 2x4 - where the wood splinters out. Forstner bits tend to provide a smoother, cleaner hole. I usually only use Spade bits when the Forstner bit isn’t long enough to go all the way through the piece if wood since most Spade bits are longer than most Forstner bits. Thank you for your support of the channel!!! 💪🤘🙏

    Building this next.
Would putting the 60" pipe through the top hole of the foot plate and the 3' pipe behind the plate not give you s similar angle to option#4? It seems that would eliminate the bed for the strap.

Awesome! Let me know how this works for you!!!
Now for this configuration- what you described should work, but the “pitch” of the foot plate might not be enough to feel natural.
Truth be told, I much prefer the “Inverted Leg Press” Configuration of the Omega Arms (Episode 5: th-cam.com/video/7EStHpKM-_8/w-d-xo.html )
It feels more like a “real” leg press, and since it is mounted to the rear of the rack it can quickly be setup/ stowed away in 15-20 seconds. 🤘🙏💪

Nice video! How much resistance does offer this leg press? 50%? 70% of the weight?
    Thanks!

Good question. You gave me an idea. In the next episode (Episode 5: Inverted Leg Press) I will conduct an experiment to determine this figure for the Inverted Leg Press, and the Leg Press (from episode 3), and the Pendulum Squat (from episode 4). Thank you! Be sure to watch the upcoming Episode 5 for the answer! 🙏

Okay so - Episode 5 was getting too long so I did not include it. Instead- this experiment will be its OWN video. In this this video I will measure the level of resistance (measured in Resistance per pound) of the Leg Press, Pendulum Squat, and Inverted Leg Press. I suspect that the inverted Leg Press will have the highest “Resistance per Pound” measurement due its lower mechanical advantage. However, we shall see. That video should be coming soon

Nice, I am very grateful. You are doing a great job on your channel

The resistance curve seems kinda bad... Wouldn't you need to load this stupid heavy?

    • @DesignBuildLift

Its not the most “efficient.” I much prefer the “inverted leg press”configuration for the Omega Arms. In fact, it’s my FAVORITE configuration of the Omega Arms, period. Watch here: th-cam.com/video/7EStHpKM-_8/w-d-xo.htmlsi=_VPA2JgAHeOM4gtn 🤘🙏💪
