Dear Ally, i have not been able to rest and sleep properly the last year or so. I had so much tension in my body after multiple illnessess. I have tried so many things and to be honest, i didnt have high hopes for your video's. But a miracle has happened! My body immediatly started to unwind after listening a few minutes. A few days and video's later I sleep six hours in a row and even feel a little bit drunk due to so much relaxation. My heart rate normalises, my back pain disappears... Loved this so much. Just went on my lunch break and seen you post the new nidra. This helps me centre myself during the work day and nidra has accompanied me for a while now on the journey to heal my nervous system and long covid. I would love a few longer nidras (50-60 minute ones) that have longer periods of scanning the different body parts :) Also Ally I would be very interested to hear a bit more about your story. I've seen you mention somewhere that you used to have terrible anxiety and rewired yourself into a more parasympathetic state. Would love to hear what, aside of nidra, helped you in that process!

And I felt how much tensions are in my body after doing the yoga nidra. Tensions they there there for years and I didn't notice till the yoga nidra. I am from the Netherland. I always thought that when I was walking in nature or biking or doing my yoga practice that Iqas relaxed becouse I liked that very much. But it wasn't true. Till yoga nidra came by. I'm a teacher in Pennsylvania and Yoga NIdra has changed my life!! I used to go, go, go until I was running around in circles, losing things, frustrated and not knowing how to relax. I do a practice daily, and I look forward to it immensely. I used to do Yoga, which I also enjoy, but I didn't always look forward to it and had to sometimes force myself to practice. When I am about to fell sleep, I sit and go through one of your 12 minutes routines; sometimes I go only as far as the three first breaths, sometimes I stay awake till the end. In every case, after 12 minutes I am charged and ready to go again. It has been a life changing discovery!

The prompt that you say when guiding our awareness back to the surrounding environment... sensing the small movements in our body.. not to move too quickly...wiggling fingers toes..feeling the stretching of arms and legs. Hi ally. I’ve posted thanks before on other yoga nidras I’ve listened to of yours. I’m in England and am recovering from 26 years of a wrong diagnosis of bipolar disorder and having taken prescribed drugs for that diagnosis. I’ve been knocked out for 11 months now unable to work and been going through some very difficult and intense physical and mental pain as I come to terms with the effects these drugs have had on my body and am being released from their hold. It’s been hard and your yoga nidra has been a godsend. Thank you. I’ve still got a long way to go as I’ve been iatrogenically damaged by such powerful meds and coming to terms with the actual trauma I now recognise as having happened to me as a child and young person plus the new trauma of realising how I was totally abused by psychiatry has been very hard to process. I have serious nervous system damage - a traumatic brain injury caused by psychiatric medication but I am healing and breathing, yoga, and intensive mind work has been key to getting to where I am now. Thank you for being part of that. When I am better and can work again I hope to repay you for your help which I can’t contribute towards at the moment as I have no income. I know I will get well and be able maybe, oneday, to do your teacher training which I feel a calling towards. Xx

Good morning. Speaking here from Alberta, Canada. I have bin practicing yoga nidra for how long I’m not exactly sure but definitely months. There is nothing in my daily life that compares to the deep relaxation of yoga nidra. With that being that, I regularly was a cannabis smoker and never felt this relaxed, from even hot immersion as something like a bath. I appreciate these videos, and thinking about how this can help some of my family genuinely brings tears to my eyes. They are stubborn and have not tried it yet although I continue to educate them on the subject. I have bin cutting back & pretty much stopping cannabis & nicotine & have bin going through withdrawal symptoms including every single one that you could possibly read about. Before this practice I was trembling a bit after a not very restless nights sleep and this helped me upon awaking. I really like this gentle music as well as the singing bowls sounds; if you could possibly make another of these types it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks again.
Hi Ally, this was a lovely quick practice and I enjoyed the time we spent focusing at each body part. I have been doing yoga Nidra for about 3 years between daily and weekly. I find this practice slows me down and reduces my reactivity in general. I also notice a sense of "I am not my body" which brings me back into Self. Before this, I was an alcoholic and addict. As horrific as the accident was, it gave me a second chance at life and an opportunity to slow things down and look inward. Hi I'm from Dublin, Ireland. I found Nidra a year ago. It is helping me to go back to sleep after I'm waking up in the middle of night due to various reasons. I'm light sleeper and any noise/ stress during the day or even not eating right is disturbing my nightly rest. Now I can function as normal even if I don't get 8h sleep
Lovely Ally, really like doing the alternate sides of the body bit in this and other meditations, really feel the energy. It’s amazing how 10 minutes can refresh my mind and body better than any nap. 🙏
Thank you so much again for this video. I think of this as a “reset” for my mind & body. This has been so helpful for me. I’ve been doing this at least once day, usually in the afternoon, or whenever I need a reset. I’ll actually do it more (2-3x day) if I’m particularly fatigued or stressed

Hi ally. I’ve posted thanks before on other yoga nidras I’ve listened to of yours.
I’m in England and am recovering from 26 years of a wrong diagnosis of bipolar disorder and having taken prescribed drugs for that diagnosis. I’ve been knocked out for 11 months now unable to work and been going through some very difficult and intense physical and mental pain as I come to terms with the effects these drugs have had on my body and am being released from their hold. It’s been hard and your yoga nidra has been a godsend. Thank you. I’ve still got a long way to go as I’ve been iatrogenically damaged by such powerful meds and coming to terms with the actual trauma I now recognise as having happened to me as a child and young person plus the new trauma of realising how I was totally abused by psychiatry has been very hard to process. I have serious nervous system damage - a traumatic brain injury caused by psychiatric medication but I am healing and breathing, yoga, and intensive mind work has been key to getting to where I am now. Thank you for being part of that. When I am better and can work again I hope to repay you for your help which I can’t contribute towards at the moment as I have no income. I know I will get well and be able maybe, oneday, to do your teacher training which I feel a calling towards. Xx

Good morning. Speaking here from Alberta, Canada. I have bin practicing yoga nidra for how long I’m not exactly sure but definitely months. There is nothing in my daily life that compares to the deep relaxation of yoga nidra. With that being that, I regularly was a cannabis smoker and never felt this relaxed, from even hot immersion as something like a bath. I appreciate these videos, and thinking about how this can help some of my family genuinely brings tears to my eyes. They are stubborn and have not tried it yet although I continue to educate them on the subject. I have bin cutting back & pretty much stopping cannabis & nicotine & have bin going through withdrawal symptoms including every single one that you could possibly read about. Before this practice I was trembling a bit after a not very restless nights sleep and this helped me upon awaking. I really like this gentle music as well as the singing bowls sounds; if you could possibly make another of these types it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks again.
Hi Ally, this was a lovely quick practice and I enjoyed the time we spent focusing at each body part. I have been doing yoga Nidra for about 3 years between daily and weekly. I find this practice slows me down and reduces my reactivity in general. I also notice a sense of "I am not my body" which brings me back into Self. This is so grounding for me and is a beautiful way I like to connect with myself.

Greetings from Colorado Ally! Your videos have helped me so much on my healing journey. I just felt like sharing if that's ok. A year ago, I was in a horrific car accident that nearly took my life. Before this, I was an alcoholic and addict. As horrific as the accident was, it gave me a second chance at life and an opportunity to slow things down and look inward. Your videos give me a resource to find my balance and peace, and to heal. I still struggle with depression, still have sleepless nights from ptsd. But today I sought this video at the end of a yoga exercise, and I just wanted to express my gratitude for what you do. Thank you so much! I am so grateful to have discovered your channel!

Hi I'm from Dublin, Ireland. I found Nidra a year ago. It is helping me to go back to sleep after I'm waking up in the middle of night due to various reasons. I'm light sleeper and any noise/ stress during the day or even not eating right is disturbing my nightly rest. Now I can function as normal even if I don't get 8h sleep

Thank you so much again for this video. I think of this as a “reset” for my mind & body. This has been so helpful for me. I’ve been doing this at least once day, usually in the afternoon, or whenever I need a reset. I’ll actually do it more (2-3x day) if I’m particularly fatigued or stressed
