"This is easier than building a PC" - and I took that personally :D PC building is a piece of cake, doing the cable management is, I'd say, as satisfying as you're laying carbon fibre.
Top video as always guys, have a great weekend!
Carbon fibre toilet seat dropping when?
I love this. I think if you really spend the time to explain to people every step of the way of building/programming/ect of the tesla swap asyou go. You might end up being the DeFacto youtube series for peoplebuilding their own in the future. IE:likes/subs.
Reminded me of that customer that came in asking for us to paint her toilet seat blue to match her blue toilet.
lmao what? i’ll be asking about this next time i’m at the shop.
So glad you guys are back. I missed you
Glad I wasn't the only one who got spaceship coupe stuck in my head after you started singing that 😂
Amazing content guys, thanks!! Can you spill some details on choosing a battery, and what the costs are on those too please?
These new videos always release on my lunch break. It makes my day!
Impressive.
Love your logo and channel boss
thank you
Awesome video once again, also switching to the green wire mode is in fact a GUI (Graphical User Interface) this means that you can use a program with drag and drop features if I'm not mistaken. GUI is commonly used in IT (I work in IT) so thats what I asume it should be.
Every piece of software you have ever used is controlled through a GUI (Graphical User Interface) It's buttons to click, a layout that makes sense, labels, icons, all that stuff.
The only people who ever use software without a GUI are programmers and IT guys. Some examples are Command Line Interface (CLI), that is using text commands to do stuff. And Application Programming Interface (API), that is using commands in a programming language to do stuff.
Have always worked on and built gas powered vehicles, including Z's. Love this entirely new direction! Great work and great coverage!
The best instructional tesla drive unit video out there... everybody else seems to be unable to clearly guide through simple procedures... cheers guys
the pink pcb bubble wrap hell yeah
honestly dunno why but when buying pcb's they seem to have that pink bubblewrap like i live in NZ and the pcb's for coffee machines had the same wrap
informational
love the consistency, information, and quality!
Since this is gonna be a show car, do you guys have any interior design plans?
You definitely need to tune it for it to work well. Ask the guys over at Salvage to Savage
How much weight is added to the car with all the electrical components and motor?
Do you not also need to run the AEM VCU to control the Tesla motor if you run their board?
“Electric Z” I like how that sounds.
It's gonna be an E-Z rider when done, a full electric still full boogie shockingly capable and yet near silent sideways smokin em slider. 😎
@@4literv6 “E-Z” even better!
Zeletric
cyberpunk that 240, but make it useful stuff not crap glued on. amazing work guys!
Are these only for tesla motors? I'm wanting to do something similar but want to use a lucid motor
Kaneda is the protagonist in Akira not the main bad guy FYI
Best build on youtube
Truly a gift waking up to another episode being dropped, haha!😍
“Ooh, I touched the jelly” - 😁
where u found that for 2200
I'd like to know how much the ev swap roughly is in total, surely the batteries are more expensive than the motor. If its affordable, i might try and do it on some car.
Battery is getting cheaper all the time. Two years ago Model S batteries were $20k, today they are as little as $10k. If you are willing to use Model3 batteries, you can get them for $5k
Just here to say I appreciate your “I didn’t do this” ITYSL reference lmao
Making dreams come true over here.
Love the well placed shop towel, to catch the water drops from the roof.
You guys are building my dream car!
It would be cool if the carbon was green (electric) or orange to match the electrical wiring. 😅
The boysssss hell yea
SQUAAAAAAAAD!!!!!!
"GUI" stands for Graphic User Interface
🐐
When the F1 build in the back????
I cannot for the life of me remember who, but someone makes an LSD for the tesla differentials. I think I saw it in the throtl 350/370z swap.
👌
What happened to the F132?
They missed the deadline because they couldn't get parts due to china virus. On the back burner for now. Z's are always better.
Can't believe how many circuit boards are in that motor, surprised it's so reliable 😳
Is the roof leaking? I keep seeing drips between 1:15-1:50
I remember Tetsuo being the bad guy... now I have to watch Akira again.
Loved not a hater
Lmao the boys said “you do the math 19:13”
Bandito type shit 🔥🔥🔥🔥💪🏿💪🏿💪🏿
Are you guys trying to corner the market on used Z cars? Love the Z-EV model, especially with your goal to keep the weight down.
#nohairs
Speed? Do you mean The Bus That Couldn’t Slow Down?
“Pop quiz hotshot!”
Have you guys checked out Electric Classic Cars out of the UK . They electrofly classic cars from Ferraris to VW and they ell kits around the world .
Cheers
Is your roof leaking? Dripping right on your project.
Power tools and metal scraper on electronics??? Zero chill.
The leaky roof doesn’t help either, 😕.
It's not as if there is a packaged brittle wafer of glass substance in micro components or anything.... fragile. Any mems device on those boards?
Dont be a pussy
imma slap you for that pc build comment
Bring it chump😂
Always interesting stuff but betcha more people concentrated on the drip, drip, drip from your leaky roof/ceiling than on the 3mins it took you to prattle on and screw in the circuit board. Just sayin....
X is a true man of culture, Sandra Bullock fo life-- she slays in Speed cmon yall.
I think modern cars are mostly trash appliances in general, and Tesla cars are terrible aside from the clever and very efficient drive unit. Modern drive lines of all kinds in older cars is the truth going forward, and EV is more or less the most modern driveline. Makes sense to me, I'll build a tesla swapped hothatch as soon as the battery tech gets a little cheaper, a little more efficient, and a lot smaller.
I'm here for the weird toilet seat content
i like wood grain toilet seats
EZilla
HAND TOOLS WHEN MOUNTING SENSITIVE ELECTRONICS
Using power tools to install a circuit board I see lol
I'm not a hater. I want my electric truck that can go 500 miles and cost $20 to charge. And my petrol carbon 280z built by Industry Garage.
I can kindly accept your fully built but never turned on PC if you dont need it xD
Actually if I can be a keyboard warrior,
Inverters have another important task,
taking DC power from battery and converting it to AC which is used by the motor
Wearing latex gloves is probably one of the worst things to do when handling electronics 🤦♂️
Not to mention using a cordless ratchet to install electronics...
@@RyanStone143 @vidzstuff1; the comments by both of You, clearly indicates Your individual, personal lacking about electronics, assembly especially ESD [Electrostatic Discharge] as Tim, Xavier, etc. - nearly every auto enthusiasts, builder.
@Street Bandito; @StreetBandito Clearly Tim, Xavier, etc. could use some basic ESD training; You should be properly grounded, at least with a wrist strap before handling any electronics boards, swapping, installing, pointing, etc.; for the uninitiated, the tiny ESD is released through the fingers, builds upon with the body, via small movements with clothing; perhaps You may be familiar with large ESD via static charge buildup, especially waling on carpet, then released touching a metal bar, banister, etc. Tiny amount of these occur, which is not felt, unseen which damage tiny metal connections, electronics, especially CMOS which is common. This results in damage which results in premature electronics to immediate failure; smaller, tinier electronics, internal metal connections within the IC, higher speed, are more vulnerable with tinier amounts of ESD. Those that value their computers, boards, CPU, GPU, memory cards, all electronics will be careful, as proper technicians, assemblers, installers, engineers are with ESD; We also wear full external, long coats which collect dissipate ESD within the layers of clothing. My first training, certification was 1990 within Our Technical teams within a major DoD contractor; was directly involved in engineering design, development, verification, testing, certification. The significant investigation into electronics failures led to the discovery of ESD damage within all electronics, thus our training, procedures, clothing, grounding. Such electronics, boards are sold, shipped within anti-static packaging, including the common dark-grey, translucent bags to protect from ESD.
All The Best and continued success with this Electric Z project, F32, and others. Sincerely
I hate teslas but this makes it seen apealing to make a car elecric
Give it a fake manual gearbox
All Tesla shit is trash
I just want to witness something
Fun...😂🎉❤
The fact that you call it the Electric Z and not the EZ makes me furious
Hey look proper use of an electric ratchet!
⚡️Zeus would be the perfect name for this Z.⚡️
