I bought one of these to mend some things. Being a guy I was lost. Thank you for this. The instructions were confusing but after watching this, it works!
Thank you! You saved a couple of lives. That of this mini Singer I picked up on clearance( that still had bobbin inserted from previous owner ) and mine because I was having a stroke trying to get this thing to work. I said “no wonder it was returned...it’s crap and doesn’t work!!!” When I watched your careful instruction and figured it out and it worked, I almost cried! From happiness this time! Thank you so much for your peaceful voice and detailed instructions. You talked me off the ledge! 😳😂🥰 By the way...bobbin was in backwards by previous owner, and I had it threaded right to left! 🤨😉😂
I'm a complete sewing novice. I just bought one of these a week ago for a few simple projects that I didn't feel like hand stitching. I figured it would be a super simple setup but... 😆 Thank you for your video! Now I think I have enough knowledge to work this little machine. 🙂

Oh my God, thank you ma'am for this video! To guys like me who know nothing about bobbins seeing you thread this saved my sanity after my thread broke and needed redone.
for better or for worse, this has been my first sewing machine to work with. i've watched this video a few times in understanding the machine and it has been super helpful. you don't speak condescendingly at all and yet are thorough in explaining to us beginners. thanks a ton for the video!

thank you so much this was extremely helpful to me. i know zero about sewing but need to make aprons for my chickens, and so I bought this tiny machine in hopes I wouldn't have to buy a large/regular one. My next step is actually making the aprons. 🦋
Thank you so much for this. I had no idea how to use this thing and have had it in its box for almost a year. You are very informative and explain everything so well. Much appreciated :)
Thank you, I have this same machine and just waiting on my adapter. Been wanting to use it so badly and needed a tutorial video on it, so thank you kindly for sharing so much information. Have a blessed day. Kelli

Thanks for this tutorial. I’ve had this little machine for years. I forgot I had it. I want to make a 9 patch quilt for my nieces dolly. So I thought I’d try this machine. I’ve got a full size brother but I don’t like it. I much prefer the singer brand. Thanks again
Spandex? or Velvet, Jersey, Poplin, Crepe or Chiffon? Which are all stretch fabrics. What type of needle do you have? Stretch 80/11 Jersey 70/11 Heavy Duty 110/18 What type of thread do you have? Recommended Velvet- cotton or silk thread Jersey- polyester thread Poplin- good brand all purpose thread Spandex- polyester thread Crepe- lightweight poly-cotton thread Chiffon- very fine or lightweight cotton or polyester thread. As long as the thread is not heavier than the fabric. There is barely ½ inch allowance between the plate and fabric. The thickest I have sewn was 3 layers of blue jeans with a heavy duty needle, no problems.
Supposedly if you jave it on desktop mode you can click once to turn it on, and again to turn it off, so you don't have to hold down the button. Good video though so thanks.
Here is a guide that may help you! The thread needle thread is on hanging thread, it should be coming from the needle. The bottom bobbin thread comes up between the feeder teeth, once of is pulled up via winding the needle thread downward to catch the bottom bobbin thread. See the attached guide. docs.google.com/document/d/17Gn8_1pVGoBDOvdXWa4w8BUeebJpH_zbtpemkxu_MQY/edit?usp=drivesdk
After inserted the batteries it started working however the switch was on lock mode! I was lucky it didn’t stitch my fingers! So crazy! It just stops only when I take the batteries out!
Jus like an industrial sewing machine or a very old home sewing machine may not offer the option of sewing in reverse. In this case, you can leave the needle down and change the direction of the fabric to obtain the same result. Or leave a tail in order to tie a knot at the end of your stitching.
This was a very good video. Im having a problem with the machine sewing at a irregular/fragmentant speed. What do you think, anyone. Thanks in advance.
Thank you so much! I needed to show sheets for a glamping party for my daughters 11th birthday and I did not know how to work this sewing machine until I saw your video. Very clear and easy to follow. Thank you a lot!
I have one of these and it was working good but now when I go to sew with it the thread will get stuck with botton thread and knot up and break what could the problem? It was working so good for $20 little machine.
This was an excellent video!! This is my first time using a sewing machine since school! But how do you backstitch on this machine? I just can't figure it out lol

@@myownthriftythoughts6038 Thank you so much for getting back to and providing a video example!!! I am making a tote bag for my mom and am also going to attempt to make a skirt. This helped alot! Thanks again!! :)
I don't get it, I have tried and tried for about 5 hours and it will not grab the bottom Bobbitt thread.. I have it threaded through the hole and both pulled to the back, but all it does is go up and down not once grabbing the lower Bobbitt thread... about ready to throw it against the wall.. played with the tensioner as well..
It is the tension setting! Just remember that it is hard to set. I have found with this machine that when you are threading be sure that the presser foot is up when you're are threading through the tension disc. Be sure to use a variety sample pieces to set your tension. This way you can take a picture of the setting and fabric sample and safe it in your notes.
How did bobbin thread coming out I really didn’t understand that I have the same sewing machine it’s not stitching bcoz it’s not receiving the bobbin thread I’m really confused
I have lost hours of my life playing with this machine. I get it to work and then it jams. I change the tension...nothing works. I have changed the needle, playes with different threads...it gets the fabric caught and jammed in the machine. a nightmare.
Why does my top thread keep breaking after I sew? I've already took out the bottom bobbin and put it back in and I changed the quality of the top thread. I turned the tension rod slightly. I'm so frustrated! 😭
When the tension is set too high, the thread is stretched greatly from the spool to the needle, causing great tension in the thread and thus the upper thread breaks during sewing. You can reduce the thread tension to see if it improves. Working with a suitable tension can prevent upper thread from breaking when sewing. Unfortunately with the maching the tension is very hard to adjust. I highly recommend using a universal needle and good thread brand. Thanks so much ! I bought mine since September couldn’t figure it 😂😂🤣
September? Wow! I hope that you find some use of it. It is a really good (quick and or starter) sewing machine overall.
Do you think this could stitch through 4 layers of stretch fabric without breaking the needle?
Spandex? or Velvet, Jersey, Poplin, Crepe or Chiffon? Which are all stretch fabrics.
What type of needle do you have?
Stretch 80/11
Jersey 70/11
Heavy Duty 110/18
What type of thread do you have?
Recommended
Velvet- cotton or silk thread
Jersey- polyester thread
Poplin- good brand all purpose thread
Spandex- polyester thread
Crepe- lightweight poly-cotton thread
Chiffon- very fine or lightweight cotton or polyester thread. As long as the thread is not heavier than the fabric.
There is barely ½ inch allowance between the plate and fabric.
The thickest I have sewn was 3 layers of blue jeans with a heavy duty needle, no problems.
Thanks

you missed threading through one hole above the needle in the needle holder in all your videos. the machine becomes unstable over a longer run
My neddle is stuck! What should i do?
So if my thread keeps coming out the needle what am I doing wrong
Nothing. It is typical for this machine. As you can see in my last video I had to thread the machine a couple of times.
In my opinion the thread guide #3 is in an awkward angle being that the tension on this machine is very cheaply made.
What I found with this machine particularly is most tension discs close when the presser foot is down, so be very sure to thread the machine with a raised foot.
