8:20 The Canadian spec Lexus IS350/RC350 will *immediately* kick down to 2nd gear if you floor the gas pedal anywhere from 84km/h and under. There is a kick down function in the 6 speed auto which accomplishes that, it's literally instantaneous with respect to its shift speed.
Regarding the comments about slow upshifts - the upshifts are slow if you are not pushing the car, but if you put it into S / S+ and you're giving it like 70% - 100% throttle, the shifting happens much faster. It feels to be about a half second delay between pulling the paddle and having it upshift from 1st - 2nd, 2nd - 3rd, etc. It's not super fast like a DSG or even Lexus' 10 speed on the LC500, but it's still quick enough. I will say that you're absolutely right that the paddle shift speed is slow af if you're not pushing the car fast enough to make the sound baffles open in the intake, it's absolutely glacial if you are just driving around town.

You dont keep loading a civic to get the type r, it's a different car. With this it is a package due to it only being aesthetic changes with some trd. The Toyota Camry TRD looks great with the design/paint, and I love the spoiler. However, I am throughly disappointed in the light steering. As a “sports sedan” the Toyota Camry TRD is essentially an appearance package with minor suspension upgrades. It’s still lest engaging as a driver’s car than a regular Honda Accord 2.0T. And unlike the Toyota, Honda offers a great manual transmission option for stick shift drivers.

Honestly, I would just get a XSE V6, straight pipe it, get a new exhaust, get a HRS BRB tailights, and a HRS JDM bodykit for like 600. The whole setup will only be like 1.1k and like it would look way better then a TRD

1:24, the TRD is not a package on the XSE V6. It's actually a package on the SE trim, with a V6 hence... hence why the TRD is so cheap. SE headlights, SE taillights, SE soft-text/cloth seats
