I’m so glad I could help! It took me a while to figure out how to measure them too, until I learned about how bra cup sizes are determined by figuring out the difference between the bust and underbust and I was like 😱.
I love the fact that you repurposed a pillowcase! The color and tiny floral pattern were perfect. I didn't care for the front neckline, it looks like it would feel awkward. Thanks for the video
I used your tutorial but miniature for a doll! It looks adorable and the advice and instructions given worked just as well for the doll’s size as a real person 😊 Thanks for the tutorial!
Pretty much. I mean, it would depend on how you want it to fall and the comfortability you’re okay with. And of course some fabrics are a way bigger pain to work with or fray a lot, but you could technically make it with just about whatever you want.
@@MirandaMilner when you are measuring, is there a way you measure to insure enough fabric so you can fut just about anyone in it? U kniw this garnent is looser though, so it can for more suzes.
@@FirestyledSamaurai Well, you just make the blouse to your own measurements. For some people, a pillowcase won't have enough fabric. I just used a pillow case because I liked the material, but you can make it with any fabric you want. I try to show how to draft these patterns to fit yourself. That's why I don't usually mention my personal measurements, I just explain how to get the correct measurements on yourself.
@@FirestyledSamaurai Well, the straps are adjustable which would probably help in that situation. Other than that, you can just make it a tad bigger and it will still probably be wearable if you lose weight.
It’s a while since I made this, but I believe I did make the sides straight. There aren’t any buttons, I just pulled it over my head, but you could alter the pattern in lots of ways.
Honey, the very first thing someone needs to learn about begining to sew and getting a nice finished product is you spend more time ironing than sewing!!! Every seam and fold needs to be ironed as you go!!! It’s the difference between looking “homemade” and a professional finish. Pressing at the end is no substitute!!!
Possibly if you are in the depths of “wearable? muslin” for either testing a new pattern or working without one where best case it’s pajamas… you can go halfway on some of the seams. But you won’t have a result anywhere a seam meets an unironed seam that gives you some information muslims are made for.
It's McCall's 5377, I think from the 60s. It turned out so nice! I really want to try to make this!
Very well explained, bust darts made sense for me for the first time! Thank you!

You need more room around the nipple depending on cup size

It was definitely a specific kind of neckline that was popular in the 50’s. It’s not for everyone, but I’m a fan.
I think this is a great video! Great for a newbie or beginner. I think you did a great job and nice job using a recycled item..
The fact that you made this out of a pillowcase is incredible! You've inspired me to try make one myself. 😊
Thanks! I’m so glad I could provide some inspiration!
I made this, it was easy and came out so cute!
Many of these vintage pieces are so beautiful I have never really stopped wearing them. They are classic! 💃💕
Very pretty blouse. Love the recycled pillow case.
wonderful idea of upcycling a pillow case. very pretty
Thanks 😊
Thank u about the info of what to where for the undergarments, cuz I was thinking of that question!
Good choice!!❤ Reminds me how Debbie Harry made one of her iconic outfits from pillow cases too!!
Amazing skills
Such a great video. Thank you for sharing, lovely to see a young woman with so much elegance & class!

Love it! I am definitely going to make one for my fiancee
Unbelievably cute
It turned out super cute!
Ahhh this is so pretty! I would totally do this if I could sew 🤩🥲
I gotta teach you some basics!

It turned out absolutely amazing 🤩❤️😍✨ and I loved the video 🤗
🥰
Thanks!
I have this pattern it's McCalls 5377. I appreciate your detailed guidance on making the bust darts right. Thank you.
how lovely!
Always love your sewing videos!💗
🥰
This one is better than mine was. It has a shape
It’s mostly about having it tucked into the skirt honestly.
Good job my cousin
😊😊
Information good friend
Do you have a halter shirt video? If there's one in the vault, I'd love to watch 😍
I don’t unfortunately. I don’t really like halters myself because of how they pull my neck forward.
@@MirandaMilner that's understandable. I'm enjoying your elf series 💚
Could you use any kind of fabric for this design??
Pretty much. I mean, it would depend on how you want it to fall and the comfortability you’re okay with. And of course some fabrics are a way bigger pain to work with or fray a lot, but you could technically make it with just about whatever you want.
Everyone said I was so crazy. That a pillowcase. I just cut the top seem. And cut down the side seams tied it at the shoulders an I had a blouse
The only thing I'd critique are the darts. Try to sew more alongside the edge for a few stitches so you don't get the little bulk where the nipple is.
How do you accommodatw for many sizes in case you have to tailor it?
Sorry, I don’t think I quite understand the question. Could you re-phrase it?

@@MirandaMilner ah ok. I was just thinking about someone who gains and looses weight easily, jumps from different sizes. Thank you

Genial!👏
Cute enough. I love your skirt.
You can do a bra shelf inside or maybe a canvisol.
So are the sides straight? Are there buttons? This looks nursing friendly but id need to know how to get the blouse over engorged breasts.
