Thanks Legion Visual Guide for the assist!
Finally! I’ve been waiting for someone to post a guide on these bad boys!
Nice guide. I've had games ending at round 2 because of Iden's alpha. It's absolutely brutal. The one thing I'd argue with is that you should always consider taking recon intel on infiltrating units if you can spare the points. Being able to move after deployment makes it so much easier to find cover or hide your entire unit behind a shot blocker. It creates some nasty flanking opportunities you wouldn't be able to take advantage of otherwise because you'd have to deploy in plain sight.
Thanks I’ve been looking at getting this game
Thank you for all your videos. Been big help learning how to play this game.
Glad to hear they’ve been helpful!
Helpful and entertaining
I am learning a lot here, I can't wait to potentially surprise the Hell out of my buddies when we play some Legion. (They went Republic/Seperatists!)
I'm new to Legion but have been playing TT games for 25 years. Still trying to learn the nuances of the game but this list seems right up my alley.
One question; The ISF have Tactical 1 from Offensive Push, and gain Tactical 1 from Tactical Strike. If they move twice, shouldn't that be 4 aims? Is there a limit to how many aims you can gain?
Thanks for the video, you got a new subscriber out of me!
Great question, and welcome to the game! The reason it’s three aims and not four is because Offensive Push doesn’t give another stack of Tactical for the entire turn, but just a single move.
Thanks for the guide! Sadly the points changes messed up your lists. Any chance for updates?
It's on my to-do list for this week to update all the existing lists on Playbook videos, yes! :)
First off; love the vids. Keep them coming.
And B) have you done any of your maths on comparing Death Troopers with ISF? Trying to figure out the correct balance for an Iden/Krennic Alpha Strike list, whether it is a 3-1 or 2-2 ratio. Would love to hear your thoughts!
So the ISF are going to hit harder on the Tactical Strike turn because of Marksman, but after that the DTs will be more reliable for both dealing damage and staying on the table defensively. I think the choice comes down to how hard you want that alpha strike to hit vs continued firepower in later rounds.
Also, I'm curious about saving TS for later in the game when the DTs could move up to range 2 and just absolutely murder something with pistols and the grenade config. I haven't messed with that at this point but it seems worth looking at.

@@TeamRelentless hmm, that seems like a decent option. It seems like the ISF fall off after their first strike, whereas the Deaths remain a constant threat at all ranges. Saving Tactical Strike for turn 2 or 3 could be even more devastating, instead of trying to wipe out as much as possible on turn 1
@@TeamRelentless here is where I am at with the list currently. The last 16 points is for either Iden's gun or ID10, with the last 2 pip card depending on if ID10 makes the list. Open for opinions on if some upgrades are too much, or any other constructive criticism.
Double Double
784/800 (9 activations)
Commanders:
- Director Krennic = 90
- Iden Versio (100): Offensive Push (4) = 104
Corps:
- 3× Stormtroopers (44) = 132
Special Forces:
- 2× Imperial Special Forces (68): T-21 Trooper (29), Offensive Push (4), Hunter (6), Recon Intel (2) = 218
- 2× Death Troopers (76): DLT-19D Trooper (34), Recon Intel (2), E-11D Config (8) = 240
• Voracious Ambition, • Pulse Scan, •• Deploy the Garrison, ••• Tactical Strike, ••• Coordinated Fire, •••• Standing Orders
@@farmoar If it were me, I'd drop Hunter on the ISF, put OP on the DTs, for sure take the droid, and not worry about gun.

Following the release of pykes do you think an iden triple ISF list is still viable?
It won't be as good as something with lots of High Velocity, but it's definitely still viable, yes. Just pick your targets carefully!
@@TeamRelentless thanks for the reply, maybe something along the lines of iden, inferno and two scout sniper teams?
Bingo
I tried this once with ascension cables on everyone. Kind of worked, but I feel like I too heavily invested into the ISF by giving them everything so when they went down, it really hurt.
do you think buying an Iden first and playing with her a while then maybe get 2 sets of these would be best? or go with these first then commander Iden?
I would personally not play ISF without Iden, but I would sometimes play Iden without ISF.

@@TeamRelentless thanks for the tips Iden is on the list as the next Imperial leader to practice
LFG!!!
Seems okay
