I've got the B model and yes its tight but with a bit of practice (like you say) you can get them out and new ones in within an hour.The toolkit plug spanner is a God send to do it. I had a 14mm socket and small ratchet on top of it to undo the middle ones. I used a long screwdriver to very carefully flicked off the coil/plug caps.
my tip is to do the air filter at the same time, saves stripping it all down again.the air filter is just under the tank and are fitted vertically.k&n filters are very tight to fit ,i prefare pipercross filters ,easier to get out.also the battery is a pain to get out.if you ever take the battery out.leave the top cover bolt out,so the next time you take out the battery.you dont need to take the tank cover off.
