I Have not seen this. I've had my zx12R for 15 years now. Rode it yesterday and cannot part with it. I've owned the zx6, zx9 and 2 zx12R's. This one is a keeper. Great video.
@@PhillipMikeHunt I bought a 2000 ZX12R when they were released. I used to track day it, and Kawasaki warranted 2 sets of front rotors. Luckily the dealer was a friend, so I got away with it. I bought both gens. of the ZX14R. The Z H2 is a different bike.
I started racing motorcycles in 1972 at the Dade City Fairgrounds in Pasco County Florida on a bought in Okinawa Japan 90cc Yamaha in the 100cc class with a finish of fifth first race ever and a best finish of 3rd ever on a flat track. I actually won a scrambles race on the evil lil bitch somehow? In 1973 a man who worked for my dad owned a Champion framed 350 Bighorn Kawasaki and put me on it and I proceeded to win every amateur event I raced on it. EVERY race! Being financially challenged with no means of travelling all over the nation I was pretty much confined to racing in the southeast at races I could afford the gas it took to get there. After I came up with the money the AMA wanted for a pro license I proceeded to show every "national" rider (some considered legends) that came to my personal regularly raced tracks how to get around them. I still race flat track now well into in my seventh decade of life, still on Kawasaki's. I outran a state trooper and two deputy sheriffs in the twisties of the Blue Ridge Mtn. foothills two weeks before my 62nd birthday on my modded ZRX1200R!!! I felt like a teenager again running the law on my RD350! All this to say the Japanese have motorcycle technology down to an art and Kawasaki builds the bikes that ever existed!!!
Bro,I understand exactly where ur coming from... A mate of mine had an '00 ZX-12R in Silver metallic ,at the time I was riding a '00 Honda CBR1000F sc24 in red and was all in all happy with her... ...untill he let me ride the 12,it changed my perception on bikes and physics... Now I was infected,no cure..😅 I ended up buying it from my mate about a year after, and I'm NEVER gonna sell her,its pure evil power on two wheels, love it...
@@Ninjahall-12R Yes, I think bikes from that era have character especially the Kawasaki with those air scoops in the front! I’m glad you are fortunate enough to have such a great bike!
Just picked up a 2001 blue ZX12r and will be uploading videos on it to my channel soon :) 24 years later and the bike still feels really great to ride compared to modern bikes as well
2000 zx9r was my first sport bike. Put over 10,000 miles first year of owning it. Good times. Now own a zzr1200 because too old for my dream bike the zx12. May still one day buy a zx12 just to have in the collection.
Love my zx12r 2005,but when closing the trottle there is a whisling sound from the airintake no matter if im using the stock airfilter or bmc Maybe somebody can tell me where the sound is coming from, i have the bike now about 9 years and berfore there was no wishling sound Is it a airleak or resonance ? i dont believe its normal i hear the sound in nutral when im htting the 5k rpm or higher and engine braking There is no motorshop that can tell me whats wrong with the bike
It's funny how he say's nothing can beat it when talking about the ZX12r, top speed at the time is true by 20mph on the 9r, but on acceleration the ZX9r was a fraction quicker. The earlier C model 9r done a faster 1/4 miles time than the 12r, being the first production bike to do it under ten seconds with a 9.9 at 136mph, and the E model is certainly a fraction quicker than the C being lighter and a bit more powerful. We have to remember though, with most sport bikes the differences are just fractions of a second, in the real world that is nothing. If you don't mind spending extra on fuel and insurance, and prefer the looks of the 12r, get one, but the 9r is better all round 😎
@@jacobforaker6222 😂 😂 it is a great bike, but the 9r is better 😎 Preference wise to me its the better looking bike, performance wise on the road they are pretty much the same apart from the 12r having a higher top speed that will rarely be used on UK roads. The quarter mile time of the 9r is around half a second or so quicker, even the heavier 98-99 C models that were the first production bike to do the quarter mile in under ten seconds as I may have mentioned above. And the 12r being much heavier and a bigger engine meaning they also cost more to run, on the road and insurance etc. That said, if the 12r is the best bike ever to you, that's your choice/preference.
I've a ZX9R. The ZX12R was too late into the speed game with the other manufacturers. Pointless unless you just want a massive bike. ZX9R is all you'll ever need. Been across Europe on mine.
Bought the very first model Zx12r A1 brand new ...24yrs later i still have it 💚
The one bike i dreamed of as a lad and now own utterly love it
I been thinking about it..I'm a daily rider (F4i) is it worth it??

This is great, never seen this.. I bought a beautiful 4K mile A2 ZX12R last year.. Awesome machine!
I've also bought the same model (A2) with 3,5k miles two months ago. Superb machine!!!

Their supercharged range is second to none.
I love my Z H2.
Thank you, Kawasaki.
It's still second to the 12r.

Not as bad as I thought. Very manageable.
Had a ZX-9R last year. A very fast and angry thing. It would go instantly whenever you wanted it too. God forbid what this 1200 is like!!😮

which of the 3 is better?
One you ride. 😂. Zx12 was however fuel injected unlike the other two.
