Of all the different world that NFS has let us play in, ProStreet was always my favorite. While the gameplay wasn't the best ever for NFS, the grassroots aspect, the speed challenges, and the boss battles still leave me feeling a certain way after all these years. The Evo X is my favorite Lancer because of Ryo Watanabe, and Aki Kimura's RX-7 is up there with the M3 from Most Wanted in terms of being a virtual car icon.

Nowadays they could create the most realistic smoke you would ever see in your life, problem is you could only watch that smoke on a high end PC. Look at Batman Arkham Knight for example. Turning the Nvidia Works Smoke on takes away so much fps.

Damn as a Proestreet fan I was so hyped when I saw him in Payback when it came out. Beating him for the 2nd time in a franchise was just sooo fun. Awesome video!
@@jdmr1c3ing ug2 is overrated.. no one even remembers the main villain nor his car and not being able to teleport to events at least after you found them, sucked ass.. plus I rather have body kits from the get go, than putting on ugly ass bumpers and such that make the car look very ugly.. only good thing is the car list especially since it's the only NFS with the 3000GT VR4 in it!

I still have NFS ProStreet in my desktop for a year. And of all of the games that I've played, this one is an underrated and underwhelming game that doesn't deserve so much hate. Yeah, it might have some weird stuffs here and there, but it's charm really mesmerizes me, which makes this game as one of my favorite games besides Underground 1 and Carbon. I'm glad Ghost Games give this game a try and put Aki Kimura as one of the bosses in Payback. :)
This was a great story. I never knew about the background on this. I have the physical copy of the game.. Sadly Need for Speed Pro Street was the last best Need for Speed game from black box!.. 😔

Even without the kings, we got such names as Joe Tackett, the madman who put a wheelie bar on a civic and broke 9 seconds with it on the quarter mile, Tony Manilla, the only big-time American drifter, Ivan Tarkovsky, nicknamed "The Mad Russian" or Yoshi Suzuki, the drifting prodigy from Japan. Definitely looking forward to any upcoming ProStreet content.

Try to get by the least you can on the car customization, let's slap together a soundtrack with at least three or four favorable songs, and try to make the races seem somewhat different while reusing the same assets. Any questions you have, improvise them yourselves in small groups. Now, I want 15 of you to dress in punk outfits and stand in front of this green screen and 360p video recorder. This will save us more money than animating the cutscenes."
