In my opinion, Apple made a HUGE mistake by discontinuing the mini lineup. Because more and more people are switching from the 14 pro and pro max to this little gem. I truly believe if Apple had kept improving the battery and made a mini pro series over time it would've been very profitable. Some people like me prefer a compact phone that isn't a tablet.
They could have made the battery better by increasing width a bit more. The main issue is that the chip is just too powerful. It takes a lot of fuel to run. But even so, the 13 Mini is an amazing device. Best phone I have owned. It's been 6 months, and I still get excited to use it
I love my 13 mini. It’s so light weight and If I don’t do a lot of gaming the battery lasts me through the day. The cameras still take excellent photos just about 2 years later and I’ll be holding onto it for another year in hopes of Apple bring back the mini with the 16 line.
I have a 13 mini as well but I don’t think that Apple will return it. Only chance would be the SE at some point. The mini series was already a risky thing for Apple but they decided to do it although in the end they had to realize that while the mini series did sell millions of units, the group of people who want a phone like this is very niche and the majority wants at least the 6.1 inch phones. I would have loved a 15 mini with the A16 and the new 48 megapixel camera though with 2000 nits peak brightness in sunlight
iphone 13 mini is honestly the only right answer as to how a phone should be. simple, sophisticated and powerful. while yes the batt life isnt the best but how many times in a day do we not find ourselves near a power outlet to charge eg office desks and car chargers, its almost impossible to have our phones dead at a random time in a day. while i get why many find the need for a bigger screen, im still disappointed apple has decided to ditch the mini line all together. proud 13 mini owner here and will use it till god knows when. awesome content!
Have to be okay with bringing along a battery pack for longer days on the road eg travelling. I suspect the iPhone 13 mini battery will need replacement sooner than other iPhones because it is more likely to go through more charge cycles.
I bought an iPhone mini 13 three weeks back and couldn’t be happier. I was looking to buy an iPhone 15 as I like the idea of having one cable for all my devices, but i just know I can’t use the iPhone 15 with one hand. Battery life was a main consideration, but I found I could use the iPhone 13 mini for a full day, if I disable background app sync for some applications. I love the pocket friendly form factor, and probably will use it for a while yet ❤
I went to the 13 mini after using my wife's hand-me-down iPhone 8 for 3 years. For my needs, the 13 mini fits perfectly. I'm about to reach the 2-year mark and it still meets my needs. I'm planning to hold onto it for another 2-3 years, especially now that Apple stopped selling mini versions.
I’ve been using 13 mini for a little over a year now. The other day I picked up my old 8 and immediately felt discomfort with the width of the phone. I could not even imagine having to log around the regular 15 or the Pro line. I have 11 in my household and I absolutely hate the way it feels. 13 mini brought back the comfort and ease of use we had lost when Apple released the 6 and we all had to get used to that. I hope that Apple will release a smaller phone again, even if it’s two years down the line because I’m sticking with the 13 mini for now and I don’t want to get a bigger phone.
I have the 11 and I have two minis. I can only say with a decent case the 11 has a good grip. After some time I picked up 11 again and it feels okay, just below 200g. The iPhone 15 is lighter than 11. Should be okay.
Completely agree…I am not sold on larger phones and tablets too. I am currently purchasing parts for an ITX build too. Tech has gotten that good that smaller is just that good!
I still have my iPhone 12 mini, and I’m considering buying the 13 Mini before they stop making them. I hope they’ll some day make a new Mini, maybe a Pro Mini. That could be awesome 🙌

The weight is definitely something I love about this phone. Working 10 hours at a Amazon warehouse I barely feel the weight of the phone dragging my sweats or shorts down (not a fan of jeans). But as I start doing TH-cam my 13 mini serves as the best webcam for recording, especially using continuity camera with the MacBook Pro and iPhone (literal chefs kiss).
i recently went through a bit of a phase feeling like i should upgrade my phone. it brought me to a lot of videos like this one. realizing that new tech has that honeymoon phase reminded me that no, i dont need a new phone. my current one works very well and doesnt fall short of my needs. im hoping that they bring back the mini lineup in the form of a new iphone SE.

Couldn’t agree more - just returned my 15 Pro, the camera was better but not enough to justify the extra bulk vs my much loved 13 mini. The photos out of the 13 mini with its 12 pro camera system are still great. The 15 Pro also got very hot in use and had a pretty poor battery life for its size. Apple should have called the mini the Air; the portability is just unbeatable. Fingers crossed for a 16 Mini Pro - or 16 ‘Air’ 😃
I honestly think the iPhone 13 mini is the perfect phone in every way. I don't see a need for a pro version of the mini. Battery tech will be improved when it can be; if the phone is bigger and bulkier, because of a bigger battery, it won't be a mini.
Love both of my minis! This year was the new Pro was tempting with the titanium and slight update to the design on all 15s, but the 13mini is a tech minimalist dream. With my setup I use my iPad for media consumption and reading. I don’t have social media apps on my phone most of the time so my phone is a communication device, a camera, and a mp3 player. Ultimately a 15Pro would never do those things better enough for me to justify the cost. Glad I found this channel.
Thank you for expressing exactly how I feel about my iphone 13 mini! I've had mine for about 6 months as well and I LOVE this little powerhouse. Almost tablet-sized smartphones are not my bag, so I will be keeping my mini until it's no longer supported by Apple.

I have the iPhone 12 mini and still love it. the light weight allows me to just keep it in my gym shorts and play basketball. I can't do this with the heavier regular sized iPhone models. it's plenty fast and never felt it was too slow. I hope Apple brings back the mini again..
Also a 13 Mini fan here. I originally has the 13 Pro Max but downsized and didn't regret it. The only issue I have is I prefer to keep a case on it because the camera lenses tend to get quickly dirty when taking the phone in and out of my pockets without one. I suspect whatever coating they use on the lenses to keep them clean has worn off a bit.
I just upgraded to the 15 pro from the 13 mini and I really had a hard time leaving the mini. I only did it for the battery life as my 13 mini was really struggling. If they come out with all the upgraded features and bring back the mini in a later model, I would highly consider getting another mini. It is the only phone that fits comfortably in my hand and fits in my pocket without sticking out. A lot of people would tease me about my "ipod" since it was so small. If the 15 model would have came out with a mini, I would have purchased it instead of the pro. Here is to keeping our fingers crossed for future minis!

Picked up 15 pro today as well. I’m very inclined to return it and keep using my 13 mini! Lighter 15 pro is still too bulky to me and I find it difficult to use it with one hand for prolonged period of time
I gave in and went from a 13 mini to the 15 Pro, but after one day using it I hate how much bigger it is. So I'm now on my way to return it. I'll stick to the 13 mini until Apple releases a smaller phone 🤞
15 pro is still too heavy and gave me thumb pain after a few days. Yes the camera is better, but mostly only when you zoom. Also the 15 Pro battery life sucks. not much better than the 13 mini.@@JonasErving

My mum struggles to read the sat nav using her 13 mini so im swapping my 13 pro with her. I’ll miss the telephoto camera and promotion display. But after using a for a couple of minutes, I fell in love with the size. I hope one day the iPhone SE will be replaced with this 5.4 inch form factor.
13 mini forever ✌️ it’s a gem that will soon be lost and i’ll keep mine forever because small phones are the best! When i got the X as a replacement for the 5s, i realized how much i was missing the lightness and portability of the 5. But as soon as i got the mini, i’m happy with it as it can be. I don’t care about the crazy tech. I just need something with a decent camera and to keep me connected and that’s all!

Nicely put, great commentary. I too run an iPhone 13 mini. Loads of pictures and a lot of video. Use it for client work and for training classes. The results are sharp, clear, and very useful. The fact the device can be fielded one handed is a blessing. The size factor means it's there when I need it.
I am so there with you, I just refused to leave my iPhone 13 mini. I skipped the 14 and I will be skipping the 15 line also. I prefer the mini. I did also purchase the 13, just because I wasn’t happy with the colors in the Pro Max line, but when I got the both of them, the mini was the one that I absolutely enjoy. I kept the both of them and use the 13 for business and the 13 mini for personal use. I recently added the iPad mini 6 to my line up and I must say, I’m more than satisfied and stated that I should have gotten the mini sooner, but I digress the 13 mini is my little sweet spot and I’m loving it. Oh yes, I’m after the 12 mini next, I think I’ll start collecting them. Again, I’m definitely in agreement.

I've been considering getting an Iphone 13 Mini myself too and precisely because of the size man, there are no small phones today! I've never owned an Iphone before so I am not sure if I would enjoy it and also looking at the spec sheets and comparing it to other phones it makes me second guess if I should make the switch or not. On the android side I have been considering the Zenfone 10, but that one is not out here in Lima Peru. Thanks for the video!
I’m with you! Best thing I can suggest is just use the 13 mini (or zen phone) for 10 days. If it doesn’t do it for you return it. Most these places have great return policies. Not sure what your usage looks like but it’s kinda freeing just forgetting about the spec sheet. Tiny phones for the win! Cheers
I think i am also gonna try that, i really think i want the iPhone 13 mini but im not sure. So ill just test it, but how should you do that without case? Im already debating if i even should use a case when buying it, but if i just test it and i drop it i wont be enabled to return it if i dont like it. Do you have any tips for me?
I have an iPhone 12 mini that I love for all the reasons you mentioned, but I do miss having a zoom so I'm going to try out the 15 pro at the store and see how improved the handling of it is (it's a bit narrower/lighter than last year's 14 pro due to slimmer bezels and the use of titanium; the more rounded edges also help) to decide whether or not I'll upgrade to it. I may also snap one of the last 13 minis up before they're gone (though I would sooner have gotten a new 12 mini as a spare had it been available since I do prefer it to the 13 mini in terms of handling and aesthetics).
They did a drop test with the 15 pro against the 14 pro, the 15 pro got demolished. The camera housing actually came apart, like the camera separated. I think it was Apple track that did the drop test, the titanium does nothing. The 15 Pro is almost exactly the same as the 14 pro, of course you do whatever you feel will make you happy, but I would go with the 14 pro and save a little bit of money.
Yeah, only thing I wish it had a zoom. So crap we have to spend so much money for one small feature. I thought the XS was too heavy, just found out the 15 Pro weighs more :(
I am completely in agreement with your comments on the 13 mini. Yes, size is important, and in this case smaller is better especially when it comes to portability. I doubt I will ever buy a larger phone, if Apple doesn't heed that advice, then it will be their loss.

I use phone striclty for making calls, checking email, message apps, and photos. And while i use iPhone XR it just feels unnecessary big and heavy for what i do daily, so im looking into smaller phones right now

We need to start a “bring back the mini!” Campaign I even use mine with the apple keyboard to do bulk emailing when travelling. It saved me from blowing money on an iPad. Have you ever tried connecting it to a monitor?
I upgraded to a 14 Pro from a 12 Mini back in mid December, though I appreciate the 3X camera and much better battery life I miss the light weight and easy one hand usability of the Mini. Thing is the weight of the Pro phones adds nothing to the function of the phone, the 15 plus which is significantly lighter has the best battery life of any iPhone. I’m seriously considering picking up a 13 Mini, I would like to switch between a Mini and my Pro whenever I feel like but Apple has made that difficult with the new SIM situation with the 14s

I have a 12 Pro Max & 12 Mini and often find myself wanting to go to the smaller phone, keep wanting to upgrade but they haven't released something that's caused me to know I NEED to upgrade. The battery on both devices is still solid (12PM has 90% health still and the mini has 85%), so I look at it as if it isn't broken... Though I'd love to find the best way to replace the battery, it seems like I'll need to soon lol! Great video!
3 years into my iPhone 12 mini and love it. Last iPhone I had was the iPhone 5 then went to android but as soon as I seen the mini I jumped back into iPhone just for the small size. Sadly discontinued now but hopefully in the future they will release another mini, until then I’ll keep my mini 12 until 2027 when the updates stop.
After watching many videos over the past year about the iPhone 13 mini, I finally ditched my iPhone 8 Plus for an iPhone 13 mini a month ago. I couldn't be happier. It's everything I wanted it to be! I will keep it and use it daily until Apple makes a new iPhone mini.

Like you, I was hoping they were going to bring back a mini…I love my 13 mini… especially in the summer time when wearing sports shorts. If I need a bigger screen, I have my iPad Pro. I also have a high end digital mirrorless camera for taking high end photos…I don’t game or do video recording, so not really needing to upgrade, but I do notice it slowing a little bit, but my battery is still at 90% so don’t have many issues with the battery….thanks for doing this! I totally agree!!!
I‘m still sporting a 12 mini. But olan on buying a 13 mini as my next iPhone. The size is just way superior compared to bigger phones, usability is sooo much better.
As an former 12mini user and currently 13mini user, I agree. Except for the form factor. There has never been an iPhone more handy than the 7. So, the curved edge design of 6 upwards to the SE2022..
I hate that the mini did not sell. I've got the 12mini...and I absolutely love this size. One haded operation WITHOUT doing hand gymnastics is so damn nice. People want tablets in their hands smh

@@marsallen4298 I got mine from TMobile - it was $130 and I had to turn in my old iPhone X. I don't buy the pricing issue. I think the form factor is something people don't want. People thing "bigger is better" so they want the biggest one they can comfortably use for the price they are paying.
After 6 months I trade my 13 mini for regular 15. The battery life lasts more than twice on 15. This makes me so happy that I gave the 13. Of course there are a lot of better things on 15, but the battery is amazing and the most important thing for me.
I was completely on the fence, I have a 13 mini currently but have smashed it up. I’m upgrading and choosing between another 13 mini or the 15 and this video has reassured me that the size benefits of the 13 mini, for me, far outweigh the benefits of the 15

I thought I would get the 12 or 13 mini in when I upgraded my iPhone 8 after 4 years. But, because Apple no longer offered it, even as Refurbished I went for a 15. It's not much heavier until you put it in a MagSafe compatible (with cover) case like I used on my 8. I too am a Mini guy. My 1st car was a 1971 Austin mini, I have the iPad mini and a Desktop featuring the MAC mini M1.
I really like my 12 mini excep for its battery life and will probably upgrade to a 13 mini just for that reason. BTW, thanks for the heads up on MOFT. I ordered a battery.
The upgrade from 12 mini to 13 mini alone is eye opening. Can’t imagine how good a 15 mini could’ve been. The 13 series is the best iPhone since the 6s entered the game. Way ahead of their time and way ahead of the 12 series but not much behind the 15.
@@jairusdeleon8915it’s 100% worth the upgrade for the improved battery itself. Also has the next gen chip which is more efficient and will ensure the phone is supported longer if long term is your goal.
With the 12 mini and no plans of ever replacing it! It’s weight, size, features, and aesthetics are great to the point of perfection imo. My only problem and annoyance with later and current iPhones are the rear camera lenses massive size. While they are great at taking amazing photos and videos and have wide apertures to allow more light, etc, no one is talking about the fact that those three GIANT lenses on Pro Max models are housed within a MASSIVELY HUGE square protrusion that takes up half or more of the width and practically a third of the height of the device! Add to the fact the lenses extend further and further with each generation since the 13 which not only makes them more vulnerable than ever, they are hideous. Besides the sales of the ‘mini’ series being lackluster, the truth is that the current rear camera lenses just wouldn’t work on a mini iPhone as they would take up too much area and just look awkward on a phone so small….also each camera lens would be much bigger than the Apple logo, ridiculously dwarfing it! For what iPhones cost and everything they do in the name of high tech and looks, they need to come up with a cleaner design for the rear cameras otherwise, the iPhone will look more like an iCameraPhone with three 35mm lenses sticking out an inch or more taking over two-thirds of the entire rear of the device! Another mini iPhone would be perfect, but Apple needs to rethink some design strategies for future iPhones for it to work!

A friend gave me her 12mini because she simply just wasn’t using it and I was telling her how I feel like I want my next phone to be a smaller phone. I currently have the 13pro and I love it but it still seems bigger to me even though it’s not even the max. I’ve been stuck on this 12mini ever since! If I end up upgrading it probably will be just to the 13mini
I’m still using my 13 mini and it’s a great phone in 2023 and beyond. I’ve got till next year for bill credits on it anyway, so no switch till at least then. I may switch to the 15 (not pro) then, but I really do like this form factor.
I've had the 13 mini since it launched and I love it. Compact and does everything you need it to however, battery gotten worse over time and it's just not convenient to use it when you travel a lot. On a day out when I'm filming in 4k 60fps, I can go down from 90% to 40% in just an hour. Constantly using a power bank is just too cumbersome. Ordered the 15 pro max and I can't wait.
I kind of feel the same. I love my 13 mini/ iPad mini combo but I have a 14pro max that fits in between when I’m traveling as a work phone. Better battery life.
I bought a half price as new customer return iPhone SE 2020 18 months ago because I like the size and price. Unfortunately as with the iPhone 13 mini the battery is not large enough to last out the day. I avoid this problem by also carrying my iPhone 7 around with me to play podcasts etc so that the iPhone SE 2020 battery will last me the day.
honestly, for most of the users 10mpx camera is more than enough. UHD 4K resolution shows around 8mpx and 5K around 14mpx. so even in 20mpx photo you wont be able to see all pixels on a screen. and i love how iPhone photos look better thanks to bigger size of each pixel. Never the less... iphone 13 mini is still powerful phone. i used to have Samsung Note 9, Iphone XS, iphone 11maxPro... and realized all i need is a phone that fits it in my pocket and is not pulling my pants down, to be able to type and use it with one hand and thats it. at the end, we use our phone mostly for calls and messages. I have 13 mini for over a year now and im very happy with it.
I did the exact same thing. Returned my iPhone 15 PRO and kept my iPhone 13 mini I purchased a month before, as an emergency phone. I just miss the Pro camera.
Currently have SE1 (yes very old !!).... I like the 13 mini for it's size, but the screen UI/icons are smaller in comparison and my eyesight isn't great. That's where a bigger iphone is better but not sure if i'll get use to the size. Kinda hoping Apple updates the SE to full screen and doing away with the home button. I don't care about a notch or bevels.
I was and a still fan of mini since 12 mini, used 13 regular and upgraded to 15 pro max. The overall performance of A17 chip the excellent camera , bigger battery are worth the upgrade. Not ignoring the fact that it’s difficult for one hand use
I have a 13 mini for one of my jobs and when I went to upgrade my personal phone from an 11 pro it was really hard to decide as I loved the 13 mi I so much though I did get the 14 pro for my personal phone but I carry both daily but the MagSafe wallet combo with the Mini is perfect! It’s in my top 3 favorite iPhones Apple has ever released 👍🏻

It won’t be coming back in the mainline devices. But we can hope it can come back in the shape of the SE 4th Generation.

iphone 13 mini is honestly the only right answer as to how a phone should be. simple, sophisticated and powerful. while yes the batt life isnt the best but how many times in a day do we not find ourselves near a power outlet to charge eg office desks and car chargers, its almost impossible to have our phones dead at a random time in a day. while i get why many find the need for a bigger screen, im still disappointed apple has decided to ditch the mini line all together. proud 13 mini owner here and will use it till god knows when. awesome content!
Have to be okay with bringing along a battery pack for longer days on the road eg travelling. I suspect the iPhone 13 mini battery will need replacement sooner than other iPhones because it is more likely to go through more charge cycles.
I bought an iPhone mini 13 three weeks back and couldn’t be happier. I was looking to buy an iPhone 15 as I like the idea of having one cable for all my devices, but i just know I can’t use the iPhone 15 with one hand. Battery life was a main consideration, but I found I could use the iPhone 13 mini for a full day, if I disable background app sync for some applications. I love the pocket friendly form factor, and probably will use it for a while yet ❤

I went to the 13 mini after using my wife's hand-me-down iPhone 8 for 3 years. For my needs, the 13 mini fits perfectly. I'm about to reach the 2-year mark and it still meets my needs. I'm planning to hold onto it for another 2-3 years, especially now that Apple stopped selling mini versions.
I’ve been using 13 mini for a little over a year now. The other day I picked up my old 8 and immediately felt discomfort with the width of the phone. I could not even imagine having to log around the regular 15 or the Pro line. I have 11 in my household and I absolutely hate the way it feels. 13 mini brought back the comfort and ease of use we had lost when Apple released the 6 and we all had to get used to that. I hope that Apple will release a smaller phone again, even if it’s two years down the line because I’m sticking with the 13 mini for now and I don’t want to get a bigger phone.

I have the 11 and I have two minis. I can only say with a decent case the 11 has a good grip. After some time I picked up 11 again and it feels okay, just below 200g. The iPhone 15 is lighter than 11. Should be okay.

The weight is definitely something I love about this phone. Working 10 hours at a Amazon warehouse I barely feel the weight of the phone dragging my sweats or shorts down (not a fan of jeans). But as I start doing TH-cam my 13 mini serves as the best webcam for recording, especially using continuity camera with the MacBook Pro and iPhone (literal chefs kiss).
i recently went through a bit of a phase feeling like i should upgrade my phone. it brought me to a lot of videos like this one. realizing that new tech has that honeymoon phase reminded me that no, i dont need a new phone. my current one works very well and doesnt fall short of my needs. im hoping that they bring back the mini lineup in the form of a new iphone SE.

Couldn’t agree more - just returned my 15 Pro, the camera was better but not enough to justify the extra bulk vs my much loved 13 mini. The photos out of the 13 mini with its 12 pro camera system are still great. The 15 Pro also got very hot in use and had a pretty poor battery life for its size. Apple should have called the mini the Air; the portability is just unbeatable. Fingers crossed for a 16 Mini Pro - or 16 ‘Air’ 😃
I honestly think the iPhone 13 mini is the perfect phone in every way. I don't see a need for a pro version of the mini. Battery tech will be improved when it can be; if the phone is bigger and bulkier, because of a bigger battery, it won't be a mini.
Love both of my minis! This year was the new Pro was tempting with the titanium and slight update to the design on all 15s, but the 13mini is a tech minimalist dream. With my setup I use my iPad for media consumption and reading. I don’t have social media apps on my phone most of the time so my phone is a communication device, a camera, and a mp3 player. Ultimately a 15Pro would never do those things better enough for me to justify the cost. Glad I found this channel.

I have the iPhone 12 mini and still love it. the light weight allows me to just keep it in my gym shorts and play basketball. I can't do this with the heavier regular sized iPhone models. it's plenty fast and never felt it was too slow. I hope Apple brings back the mini again..
Also a 13 Mini fan here. I originally has the 13 Pro Max but downsized and didn't regret it.
The only issue I have is I prefer to keep a case on it because the camera lenses tend to get quickly dirty when taking the phone in and out of my pockets without one. I suspect whatever coating they use on the lenses to keep them clean has worn off a bit.
I just upgraded to the 15 pro from the 13 mini and I really had a hard time leaving the mini. I only did it for the battery life as my 13 mini was really struggling. If they come out with all the upgraded features and bring back the mini in a later model, I would highly consider getting another mini. It is the only phone that fits comfortably in my hand and fits in my pocket without sticking out. A lot of people would tease me about my "ipod" since it was so small. If the 15 model would have came out with a mini, I would have purchased it instead of the pro. Here is to keeping our fingers crossed for future minis!

Picked up 15 pro today as well. I’m very inclined to return it and keep using my 13 mini! Lighter 15 pro is still too bulky to me and I find it difficult to use it with one hand for prolonged period of time

15 pro is still too heavy and gave me thumb pain after a few days. Yes the camera is better, but mostly only when you zoom. Also the 15 Pro battery life sucks. not much better than the 13 mini.@@JonasErving

My mum struggles to read the sat nav using her 13 mini so im swapping my 13 pro with her. I’ll miss the telephoto camera and promotion display. But after using a for a couple of minutes, I fell in love with the size. I hope one day the iPhone SE will be replaced with this 5.4 inch form factor.
13 mini forever ✌️ it’s a gem that will soon be lost and i’ll keep mine forever because small phones are the best! When i got the X as a replacement for the 5s, i realized how much i was missing the lightness and portability of the 5. But as soon as i got the mini, i’m happy with it as it can be. I don’t care about the crazy tech. I just need something with a decent camera and to keep me connected and that’s all!

Bought the iPhone 13 mini a week ago coming from regular iPhone 13. I am so happy with the compact size of this phone❤❤. The battery life is also fair to last entire business day, as I dont play games. Its very sad Apple is not making mini’s any more.
Nicely put, great commentary. I too run an iPhone 13 mini. Loads of pictures and a lot of video. Use it for client work and for training classes. The results are sharp, clear, and very useful. The fact the device can be fielded one handed is a blessing. The size factor means it's there when I need it.
I am so there with you, I just refused to leave my iPhone 13 mini. I skipped the 14 and I will be skipping the 15 line also. I prefer the mini. I did also purchase the 13, just because I wasn’t happy with the colors in the Pro Max line, but when I got the both of them, the mini was the one that I absolutely enjoy. I kept the both of them and use the 13 for business and the 13 mini for personal use. I recently added the iPad mini 6 to my line up and I must say, I’m more than satisfied and stated that I should have gotten the mini sooner, but I digress the 13 mini is my little sweet spot and I’m loving it. Oh yes, I’m after the 12 mini next, I think I’ll start collecting them. Again, I’m definitely in agreement.

I've never owned an Iphone before so I am not sure if I would enjoy it and also looking at the spec sheets and comparing it to other phones it makes me second guess if I should make the switch or not. I’m with you! Best thing I can suggest is just use the 13 mini (or zen phone) for 10 days. If it doesn’t do it for you return it. Most these places have great return policies.

I have an iPhone 12 mini that I love for all the reasons you mentioned, but I do miss having a zoom so I'm going to try out the 15 pro at the store and see how improved the handling of it is (it's a bit narrower/lighter than last year's 14 pro due to slimmer bezels and the use of titanium; the more rounded edges also help) to decide whether or not I'll upgrade to it. I may also snap one of the last 13 minis up before they're gone (though I would sooner have gotten a new 12 mini as a spare had it been available since I do prefer it to the 13 mini in terms of handling and aesthetics).
They did a drop test with the 15 pro against the 14 pro, the 15 pro got demolished. The camera housing actually came apart, like the camera separated. I think it was Apple track that did the drop test, the titanium does nothing. The 15 Pro is almost exactly the same as the 14 pro, of course you do whatever you feel will make you happy, but I would go with the 14 pro and save a little bit of money.
Yeah, only thing I wish it had a zoom. So crap we have to spend so much money for one small feature. I thought the XS was too heavy, just found out the 15 Pro weighs more :(
I am completely in agreement with your comments on the 13 mini. Yes, size is important, and in this case smaller is better especially when it comes to portability. I doubt I will ever buy a larger phone, if Apple doesn't heed that advice, then it will be their loss.

I upgraded to a 14 Pro from a 12 Mini back in mid December, though I appreciate the 3X camera and much better battery life I miss the light weight and easy one hand usability of the Mini. Thing is the weight of the Pro phones adds nothing to the function of the phone, the 15 plus which is significantly lighter has the best battery life of any iPhone. I’m seriously considering picking up a 13 Mini, I would like to switch between a Mini and my Pro whenever I feel like but Apple has made that difficult with the new SIM situation with the 14s

I have a 12 Pro Max & 12 Mini and often find myself wanting to go to the smaller phone, keep wanting to upgrade but they haven't released something that's caused me to know I NEED to upgrade. The battery on both devices is still solid (12PM has 90% health still and the mini has 85%), so I look at it as if it isn't broken...
Though I'd love to find the best way to replace the battery, it seems like I'll need to soon lol! Great video!
3 years into my iPhone 12 mini and love it.
Last iPhone I had was the iPhone 5 then went to android but as soon as I seen the mini I jumped back into iPhone just for the small size.
Sadly discontinued now but hopefully in the future they will release another mini, until then I’ll keep my mini 12 until 2027 when the updates stop.
After watching many videos over the past year about the iPhone 13 mini, I finally ditched my iPhone 8 Plus for an iPhone 13 mini a month ago. I couldn't be happier. It's everything I wanted it to be! I will keep it and use it daily until Apple makes a new iPhone mini.

Like you, I was hoping they were going to bring back a mini…I love my 13 mini… especially in the summer time when wearing sports shorts. If I need a bigger screen, I have my iPad Pro. I also have a high end digital mirrorless camera for taking high end photos…I don’t game or do video recording, so not really needing to upgrade, but I do notice it slowing a little bit, but my battery is still at 90% so don’t have many issues with the battery….thanks for doing this! I totally agree!!!
I‘m still sporting a 12 mini. But olan on buying a 13 mini as my next iPhone. The size is just way superior compared to bigger phones, usability is sooo much better.

After 6 months I trade my 13 mini for regular 15. The battery life lasts more than twice on 15. This makes me so happy that I gave the 13. Of course there are a lot of better things on 15, but the battery is amazing and the most important thing for me.

I thought I would get the 12 or 13 mini in when I upgraded my iPhone 8 after 4 years. But, because Apple no longer offered it, even as Refurbished I went for a 15. It's not much heavier until you put it in a MagSafe compatible (with cover) case like I used on my 8. I too am a Mini guy. My 1st car was a 1971 Austin mini, I have the iPad mini and a Desktop featuring the MAC mini M1.

@@jairusdeleon8915it’s 100% worth the upgrade for the improved battery itself. Also has the next gen chip which is more efficient and will ensure the phone is supported longer if long term is your goal.
With the 12 mini and no plans of ever replacing it! It’s weight, size, features, and aesthetics are great to the point of perfection imo. My only problem and annoyance with later and current iPhones are the rear camera lenses massive size. While they are great at taking amazing photos and videos and have wide apertures to allow more light, etc, no one is talking about the fact that those three GIANT lenses on Pro Max models are housed within a MASSIVELY HUGE square protrusion that takes up half or more of the width and practically a third of the height of the device! Add to the fact the lenses extend further and further with each generation since the 13 which not only makes them more vulnerable than ever, they are hideous. Besides the sales of the ‘mini’ series being lackluster, the truth is that the current rear camera lenses just wouldn’t work on a mini iPhone as they would take up too much area and just look awkward on a phone so small….also each camera lens would be much bigger than the Apple logo, ridiculously dwarfing it! For what iPhones cost and everything they do in the name of high tech and looks, they need to come up with a cleaner design for the rear cameras otherwise, the iPhone will look more like an iCameraPhone with three 35mm lenses sticking out an inch or more taking over two-thirds of the entire rear of the device! Another mini iPhone would be perfect, but Apple needs to rethink some design strategies for future iPhones for it to work!

A friend gave me her 12mini because she simply just wasn’t using it and I was telling her how I feel like I want my next phone to be a smaller phone. I currently have the 13pro and I love it but it still seems bigger to me even though it’s not even the max. I’ve been stuck on this 12mini ever since! I’m still using my 13 mini and it’s a great phone in 2023 and beyond. I’ve got till next year for bill credits on it anyway, so no switch till at least then. I may switch to the 15 (not pro) then, but I really do like this form factor.

How is battery?
@@mostafahilali6057 battery has been great for my use. I’m not a heavy user and I don’t game, but I can easily get 5-6 hours SOT with battery left.

I've had the 13 mini since it launched and I love it. Compact and does everything you need it to however, battery gotten worse over time and it's just not convenient to use it when you travel a lot. On a day out when I'm filming in 4k 60fps, I can go down from 90% to 40% in just an hour. Constantly using a power bank is just too cumbersome. Ordered the 15 pro max and I can't wait.
I kind of feel the same. I love my 13 mini/ iPad mini combo but I have a 14pro max that fits in between when I’m traveling as a work phone. Better battery life.
cant agree to this more!! the size of the mini versions is so convenient. That underrated comfort will always make the mini the best version ever
I bought a half price as new customer return iPhone SE 2020 18 months ago because I like the size and price. Unfortunately as with the iPhone 13 mini the battery is not large enough to last out the day. I avoid this problem by also carrying my iPhone 7 around with me to play podcasts etc so that the iPhone SE 2020 battery will last me the day.
I bought my younger son an iPhone SE and I think it’s perfect for everyday use. It can run games just fine and it fits so well in the pocket.
honestly, for most of the users 10mpx camera is more than enough. UHD 4K resolution shows around 8mpx and 5K around 14mpx. so even in 20mpx photo you wont be able to see all pixels on a screen. and i love how iPhone photos look better thanks to bigger size of each pixel. Never the less... iphone 13 mini is still powerful phone. i used to have Samsung Note 9, Iphone XS, iphone 11maxPro... and realized all i need is a phone that fits it in my pocket and is not pulling my pants down, to be able to type and use it with one hand and thats it. at the end, we use our phone mostly for calls and messages. I have 13 mini for over a year now and im very happy with it.
I would ABSOLUTELY buy the iPhone 16 MINI, I still have my 12 mini and 13 mini
I got mine in 2022 after they dropped the price. I traded in the SE 2020. That was a great upgrade.
I did the exact same thing. Returned my iPhone 15 PRO and kept my iPhone 13 mini I purchased a month before, as an emergency phone. I just miss the Pro camera.
I love my 13 mini best phone I have ever had. I am partial to the small form factor

Currently have SE1 (yes very old !!).... I like the 13 mini for it's size, but the screen UI/icons are smaller in comparison and my eyesight isn't great. That's where a bigger iphone is better but not sure if i'll get use to the size. Kinda hoping Apple updates the SE to full screen and doing away with the home button. I don't care about a notch or bevels.
There are accessibility features that allow you to increase the size of the icons and the text if that helps!

I was and a still fan of mini since 12 mini, used 13 regular and upgraded to 15 pro max. The overall performance of A17 chip the excellent camera , bigger battery are worth the upgrade. Not ignoring the fact that it’s difficult for one hand use
I have a 13 mini for one of my jobs and when I went to upgrade my personal phone from an 11 pro it was really hard to decide as I loved the 13 mi I so much though I did get the 14 pro for my personal phone but I carry both daily but the MagSafe wallet combo with the Mini is perfect! It’s in my top 3 favorite iPhones Apple has ever released 👍🏻
I just ordered the last 13 mini that T-Mobile has. I love the mini. My daughter uses the mini too. ❤
