A survival game and solid art direction are two things not that common, nor related to begin with. So it can't be " your average survival game with solid art direction" you are talking about, cuz there isn't average.
The realm card system and the fact that it has first person are the things that got me most excited. One of my biggest gripes with Valheim, Enshrouded, & Palworld is that they don't have 1st person view
@@theblacklnightthat's part of survival games is the grind. Although the nice thing about valheim is they've added a feature where you can tweak the resource drop rate so you get way more resources than you usually do
Theres this huge disconnect between being a well dressed, Magicial Mary Poppins, as some are saying... And using an Axe to slaughter monsters.. Were wands too similar to Enshrouded!??? 🪄✨✨✨✨
You can say that about any established genre. How many enemies are we going to kill? How many quests are we going to complete? How much XP are we going to accrue? Nobody is forcing you to play crafting games.
How many guys are we going shoot with guns? How many times are we going to drive around a race circuit?... Trees are made out of the most common building material...
Played it in the beta and it was pretty bad. Predictable and easy. It doesn't look like it's changed from this preview very much unfortunately. The unique mobs did make it interesting before you learn the movements, then it became very bland.
There truly aren't enough games set in the 1800's aesthetic - so I'm here for this style, looks great, hoping the gameplay lives up to the visual design
Whats up with everyones vocal hate for survival crafting games? Why be upset at a genre just for existing when theres plenty of others for you to enjoy?
@@simonrockstream what genre contains "something new that actually matters?" Shooters haven't changed in about 2 generations, racing and sports games are same as it ever was... if anything, survival games have the most untapped potential because of how new the genre is.
"plenty of others" most of them are survival craft 😅 that's the point... "hey wanna play a NEW multiplayer game, you survive and craft" amazing.... hahaha
c'mon man. That's a useless and gormless criticism. Something that's "New" and "actually matters"?? the game is brand new. With some pretty original ideas and mechanics. And whether or not it matters is entirely subjective. @@simonrockstream
My only strong criticism from shown gameplay is the hit reaction/cleave with melee weapons and the the bullet velocity being so low on the guns. Resources exploding when mined is a bit much but it’s one of those things that can be adjusted.
Since you use Umbrellas to glide, this would be a fun game to make your player character, characters from other games who use Umbrellas, like Navia from Genshin, Peach/Daisy from Mario, or Josephine from Suikoden V.
Giving me really strong fable vibes and I'm all for it, can't wait to try it, really impressed with how original these aspects of the game are. Really impressive and beautiful design.
This game looks insane. The artstyle is incredible and gameplay looks varied and different from other games of the genre. People in the comments who complain about animations and combat act like Palworld, Enshrouded or any older survival game were paragons of technology or innovation in terms of locomotion or combat diversity.
The combat seems to need some refining, looks kidna unresponsive, but the game looks really interesting. The attention to detail and the concept intrigued me the most.
Honestly, the amount of mechanics intertwined and the combination of items and world-crafting options, makes it a lot less likely that the game will either a) be released without massive critical bugs, or b) be released at all with all this content.
The artstyle looks so nice, but there seems to be a lot of major mechanics here which could slow/confuse gameplay. Fetch quests and busy work get tiring pretty quick and the calm aesthetics don't seem to suit survival. Will the home someone spends many hours building be safe or at risk of catpure and plunder from other players?
This looks fantastic, I'm not fully sold on the combat mind, seems a bit unresponsive? But the overall concept looks excellent. The card things are awesome
Finally a game that answers the question “What if Mary Poppins was strapped?”
brooooo:)))))
lmao literally thought the same
😂😂😂
ROFL
If you want an actual answer to that question check out @adventuresofsly
I'm really loving the art direction of this game tbh, might be the only survival game that got my interest since Sons of the Forest released.
Have you tried Minecraft? It's this really cool indie game that just came out a couple of weeks ago
dito
Victorian MMO not for me
@@liamnissanS2K This aint an MMO
Ahh yes. Many moons ago. One year ago.
Definitely looks promising, but also in need of some polishing in terms of combat and HUD
“I’m Mary Poppins Y’all!”
Truly, the most iconic line of our time.
Man this art direction looks insane
Seems like your average survival game with solid art direction... but that Realm Card mechanic REALLY grabbed my attention. What a cool system.

And so many of them are boring just to grind stuffs
@@theblacklnight Then dont play them dummy.

I'm close with one of the playtesters, and they won't shut up about how fun it is.

@@ree3197 Enshrouded was announced less than a year ago, Nightingale has been releasing trailers for 3.
It felt pretty low quality to play and the graphics don't look impressive, very unfortunate
Whoever the composer is - this trailer feels magical because of you!
Finally the Mary Poppins game we all wanted
3:16 "Seamlessly transition to a two handed weapon"
Umbrella disappears*
Axe appears*
wow the combat looks awful there too lmao
Wouldn't say it looks "awful", but nothing revolutionary either.
Hehe. 3:45 "Bramble walls for defense against hordes of enemies"
Goblins walk around them*
Brambles do nothing*
Artstyle is looking great. Gameplay is looking horrible.
It's an open world survival craft, not Elden Ring. So the combat is on par. It's also EA so they could improve on it.
UI and animations need polishing but other than that looks like a treat!
How many trees we gotta cut down before the game industry innovates new game modes?
You can say that about any established genre. How many enemies are we going to kill? How many quests are we going to complete? How much XP are we going to accrue?

Sandal's favorite game! Enchantment!
Enchantment!
enchantment? enchantment!!
scrolled waaaay to far down to find this. ENCHANTMENT!!!
The game looks rough in first person...and somehow the trailer game looks 110% more refined than all the gameplay videos from content creators.
Most creators I've seen are experiencing heavy lag while playing solo
as someone who mainly want to do base building. im HYPED
the HUD looks so messy with the gear score :c
The entire UI was very amateur and disorganized in the playtest
@@eVilmoogl It was a playtest afterall...

Looks above par for a survival game
This is not an mmorpg
There truly aren't enough games set in the 1800's aesthetic - so I'm here for this style, looks great, hoping the gameplay lives up to the visual design
The Two-Handed axe attacks in the combot segment look so awfully familiar to the First Person Animation Overhaul for Skyrim SE/AE.
Even the healing animation is the same as Skyrim.
Copying the best.
