- Things will be different now. For all of you. Check out the brutal The Blood of Dawnwalker cinematic trailer to learn more about this first chapter in the single-player open-world dark fantasy action-RPG by Rebel Wolves. The trailer also unveils a peek at gameplay with a full gameplay reveal coming in summer 2025. The Blood of Dawnwalker is developed on Unreal Engine 5 for PC, PS5 (PlayStation 5), and Xbox Series X/S.
In The Blood of Dawnwalker, you play as Coen, a young man turned into a Dawnwalker, forever treading the line between the world of day and the realm of night. Use your skills and combine vampiric strength with human resolve as you take on a quest to save the ones you love. Face your foes - be they human, monster, or the ticking clock itself. But remember - the real evil may bask in the sun's light, and the most loyal of allies could lurk under the cover of night.

i wouldent say sequels are bad things if they are warrent and made right.
Absolutely.

Most of the best games out there are sequels, Mass Effect 2, most of the TES series, Warcraft 3, Age of Empires 2, Diablo 2, Half Life 2, UT2004, Doom Eternal (and the upcoming one looks fucking sick as well), System Shock 2, Dead Space 2, RE2/3/4/7/8, Gothic 2, most of the Gears of War series (I prefer the 3rd), Star Wars JKOII/JA, Original Sin 2, BG2/3, and so on and so forth.
I can think of so many sequels that just blew all expectations out of the water, I think it's mostly a modern issue where investors or executive management realize a product can make money and then micromanage the project to be as "appealing" as possible which results in a Dead Space 3 instead of a Dead Space 2 so people have low expectations.
Though to be fair most major sequels in recent years, like GOW Ragnarok or Monster Hunter Rise were pretty fucking good.
@@AveSicariusthe same micromanaging that leased the scope of Mass Effect 2 drastically impacted the perception of Dragon Age 2. Specifically in way planetary exploration for resources was reduced to atmospheric probing. Mirrored the reduction of different environments & the reuse of assets. Mass Effect 2 linear play style while enhancing narrative impact & clear cleaner combat mechanics. Where perceived as limitations to a single city & dumbing down in favor of more action based mechanics. While still expanding on the most interesting aspects in Flemeth’s role & that of Qunari society. Saarebas’s self immolation being one of the most significant displays of absolute obedience excepted & required by those of the Qun.

Or was it that Ciri was now older and hardened, not the young sexy eye candy warrior princess any more? She always wanted to become a witcher. And her own blood was the key to it. It was a completely logical continuity that she gets her own story, not forced girlbossing like SW Outlaws or whatever dumpster fire The Last of Us Part Two was. She suffered for it, earned it, and she's still allowed to fail, even in the trailer, unlike the Disney/MCU/Star Wars girlboss Mary Sues.

It's not her look( though her Elder blood and affinity for magic should slow her aging process significantly to the point where she shouldn't look much different than the last time we saw her. If done well with the virtues of diligence, patience, and a respect for world/story development this could grow into a great game/series of games. I am looking forward to this game and its continual development. I wish the devs much luck.
Take my money!!!! Take it right now! This is a studio that knows what gamers want! I want this right now! 🎉
Never preorder
@@shykorustotorathey’re not CDPR
@ You're right. These are the guys who made Cyberpunk and released it in that poor excuse of a buggy mess. They're the guys who made a 48 minute "gameplay" trailer which was 100% fabricated. They're the guys who delayed the game 5 times and were cutting content literally a week before release. They're the guys who thought the QA team was lying because the bug report was so incredibly long which "Can't be true because we made Witcher 3"
@@shykorustotora I’ll never understand why ppl will still make up their minds after only seeing a cgi cinematic… especially after all of the industry’s bs
Because of preorders we are where we are in gaming right now, just wait until the game is out, there will be enough copies for everybody.
This is so fking cool it gave me goosebumps!!Action, suspense, bloody violence all in one trailer, they really knock it out of the park with this one!!!
Love the fact they're just in the back the whole time. Like at 1:00 you can see him but only for a moment.
Feels so good to be the target audience🙌
The big bad reminds me of Victor from Underworld. So damn cool.
I got those vibes too. The start reminded me of the intro to underworld evolution where soldiers are searching for William.
@@deadgum11 exactly
They want my money and will get it. Looks sooooo good!
Yes, after KCD 2 another cool as hell game designed for us!
there’s no target audience
From the director of my favorite game of all time? Yes please, bring it on!
Just a quick reminder, same director who botched Cyberpunk...
I lost it at the mongol-looking-monk-punching vampire
It’s actually historically accurate for its time. Asian tribes/people already made their way into Eastern Europe after the successful Mongol invasion of the 12th century.
@@popolives I know, I just love him so much xD
@@popolives You mean diversity that makes sense? Mindblown.
@@Drakenn100 TBH appart from the Vampire thing a Lot of Central Asian People migrated into Europe even before the Mongols, the Guy can also possibly be Mongol himself considering he is a Vampire so even if this is well over a century passed his time.
@@forickgrimaldus8301 Saw someone theorize that the bald vampire guy is some extremely ancient vampire that recruits vampires from each era then disappears until the next time. Would explain the thematic difference between the vampires. Mongol dude = Attila? Knight = Alexander Gothic chick = ???
They really took the word 'teaser' in 'gameplay teaser' to heart
Medieval vampire game that isn't a top down survival, but an RPG with modern graphics?
Take my money, kidney and firstborn, and sign me up!
This is the first time I have heard about this, but I have no doubt that it will be good. In my eyes, it's a flawless trailer, captures the vibe and vision we can probably expect, and honestly, I'm sold, like, really excited for the game. This looks so good.
They teased they would announce their new game last month, so your first time is everyone outside productions first time.
@@Gamers-Haunt Yeah, well for me it's more than just the announcement, it's also the first time I've heard about the studio itself, that it's a bunch of former CD Projekt guys and so on. So for me it came out of nowhere.
@ That's fair. I think I may have heard of them a couple times in passing, but seriously knew of them last month.
Regardless of when we all learned of it, it was truly spectacular wasn't it? Hope the gameplay lives up to the visceral carnage in the trailer.

Never heard of any of this and the trailer is quite impressive. I'm sold on it. Can't wait to try it. I just hope the gameplay is smooth.
I haven’t been this excited for a video game in awhile. Goosebumps all over, from the story perspective, let’s see if they gameplay can live up to this.
This looked absolutely insane. Obviously not a lot of gameplay shown but I loved the world building. The grittiness of it is right up my alley. Hopefully this is another great dark fantasy IP. We don’t have enough.
It far surpassed what I was expecting. I think it will be what I wanted originally from Witcher 4
Ngl i got my fill already from a plague tale, I want more dead space so im exited for intergalactic.
But you know this game looks pretty cool too ::D
The unseen elder before he isolated himself in the cave.
Cloud be a nice plot ❤
After getting out of the cave, actually. The story of TW3 is from around the beginning of the XIII century, this is XV century.
@@alifahran8033 The story of TW3 is set in a different world, not an actual historical period. ;)
@@szombatjanos Highly likely, I was just pointing out, that it couldn't be the Unseen Elder BEFORE he isolated himself.
@@alifahran8033 Of course not. This game has nothing to do with the setting of Witcher.
The season of the valiant vampire is finally here. The moment we’ve all been waiting for.. has arrived
🧛♂️ 🖤
Im gonna be honest, i didnt expect much from this but its one of the only trailers in recent years that has made me actually want to buy the game.
Super excited to see the gameplay reveal in summer.
never preorder
stay strong brother
Even though you have no idea what the gameplay is like or if it's even going to be fun to play? You want to buy it based solely on a cinematic that isn't even made with the in game engine? This is why the industry keeps taking the mick with pricing and early access they forgot to label as such. Not just you, obviously, but this sentiment of yours that is shared by so many others.
@@mydogeatspuke Isnt that everyone on the planet tbh?
You see something you like: You want to get it.
Now that opinion can be changed *SO EASILY* if the gameplay showcase turns out to be trash, but i got Shadow of War vibes from that few second bit at the end of this trailer which got me hopeful.
@@DayOfCasual I second this, but I still have high hopes for it.
It’s been a long time since a game trailer has genuinely intrigued me. I’ll be looking forward to this.
This could be the best "Dark Ages" vampire game since "Vampire The Masquerade: Redemption"

I hope this turns out as good as the trailer looks. There's been like one decent vampire game since Vampire The Masquerade and Legacy of Kain.
Coming from Blood Omen 2 and Castlevania Lords of Shadows, I guess this will be my next MUST HAVE. You have my attention -w-
Me too 👍
For those who are wondering what the brooch in the title screen says: it's in latin and says "peregrini aurorae", pilgrims of the dawn, or Dawnwalkers, if you will. A litle nice detail.
ok.... you have my attention. i'll be watching out for more footage of this.
I am Slovak so I understand most of polish language. The Witcher 3 is best game I ever played, literally a masterpiece. One thing contributed to its quality was playing it with polish dubbing, which was outstanding. When u play game with polish/slavic vibe situated to medieval/fantasy time, it is another dimension of feeling when its made with authentic polish dubbing. So please Rebel Wolves make also polish dubbing, many people will appreciate it. Thanks.
a world filled with shades of gray. Not everything is morally good or evil, just a way to survive. i love it.
Well the trailer presents the humans and the vampires as both being capable of monstrous actions. It's up to the player where to go and what to do but every choice has its positives and negatives. This world is not black and white.
Like we havent seen that a million times in movies, games and novels 🙄 booooooring
not gray, I'd like to go the road that these vamps are also evil, like chaotic vs lawful evil.

The closest thing we will get to a Legacy of Kain-esque looking game with some witcher vibes sprinkled onto it.
The Vamps were awesome.
YES! It’s nice to see so many of us Legacy of Kain/Soul Reaver and Witcher 3 fans in the comments sharing similar sentiments. I Haven’t had an epic vampire tale strike me as good as LoK series yet, I feel this may finally scratch that itch. The epic story is palpable based on that short clip alone in my opinion.
@@Modioman69 The main vamp that saved the child looked like a Dumahim Vampire from Nosgoth (Damn, I played the living hell out of that game, it was such a fun game back then) which is why I made the connection of LoK in BoD, I really hope this game will fill that huge hole where LoK was, I am really starving for a LoK-esque game again with the same level of gothic literacy and storytelling.
