Hi Top Eagle, couldn't agree more that it feels most happiest off-road crushing trails that most standard cars would seriously struggle to negotiate. That said, it's not a bad daily either - be it runs to the shops, the hardware store, or even school. Pretty all around good thing. Cheers for commenting and I hope you liked the video - take care mate :D
Ha ha - the interiors too dark! Mate I would be more than happy to swap my 2006 “old people’s home interior styling” Hilux for that! 😜 actually like it a lot!
Oh for sure mate, I totally get that it's a fair step up from HiLuxs of the past, but it's more something to let people know about - it still is very dark in there. Cheers for commenting though and for watching the vid. I hope you liked it :D
Hey Zac Wayman, I like a manual too - just feels like I have more control and awareness of what's really going on (be it on track or off-road). Cheers for commenting and I hope you liked the video - take care mate :D
Hi Dave awesome review dude you know about the Vehicle makes it very easy to make up your mind of.what you want to buy wish all.other vidoes was a good as yours mate keep.it up
Hey Jason R, this particular model - the Rugged X - is the flagship HiLux model from Toyota, that means it gets all the extras mentioned in the video. As for what changed from this to the 2020 HiLux, a few key things, including: engine power and torque increases to 150kW and 500Nm updated looks, headlights, grille, etc suspension tweaks and fine tuning and a variable flow control power-steering pump to reduce low-speed steering effort Hope that helps man and cheers for watching :D
You'll note there's a lot less wheel work on the road than off-road. Off-road the thing moves around a fair bit, particularly on the terrain we were driving over. Cheers.
In my experience, the HiLux can't compete with the likes of the Ford Ranger and VW Amarok for on-road comfort and manners, but the HiLux isn't terrible, just generally better with load in the back. Cheers and thanks for watching.
Guest Experience Centre ! which twat in a suit thought of that ? I am a customer with consumer rights, take f...ing note Toyota . apart from that good review.
G'day Ian walker, sorry to hear your displeasure. Have you had dramas dealing with Toyota or dramas with your car or both? Have you got a HiLux? Are you in Australia? Seperate to that, I'm stoked you liked the video :D
"Review", (a formal assessment of something with the intention of instituting change if necessary.) This video is more a less a walkaround with annoying commentry and a drive-along. I really disliked watching this video.

While I'm sure your 15 subscribers really appreciate your own videos, I've never called my videos 'reviews'. I don't claim to review the cars, I don't score the cars, I don't rate them. So, you've effectively walked into an Italian restaurant, eaten a lasagne, and then complained that the food wasn't even Chinese food. Well done legend. Jog on...
@@DaveZalstein Yet there you are all over the comment sections thanking your viewers that compliment you on a great review, for example, Harry Ghajanan R. I will agree with your definition of the word troll but disagree I am a troll. @@AdriansTH-camChannel Hey legend, So, there's no need to correct commenters like Harry Ghajanan R because they haven't had an issue about my videos not being reviews - they've just commented on the video itself. You complained that the video that wasn't a review, wasn't a review. It's quite different. Further, I most certainly do not accept that the video is a complete waste of the viewer's time. In fact, it seems plenty of people actually really appreciate my videos. I provide free content full of information about cars people might like, own, or are thinking of owning. That's it mate. And did I provide information? Yes. Was it free? Also yes. End of story. You don't have to like it. And if you think the purpose of a 'review' is to convince someone to buy a product or a brand, then you might want to reconsider your definitions. Content aimed at convincing you to buy a product or brand is called advertising - that's not this. Safe travels sir.
@@DaveZalstein Hi Dave, It's a real shame you do not recognize an opportunity for improvement as there is always room for improvement no matter what the content is. If you are interested in improving your video I am happy to offer you some advice.
@@AdriansTH-camChannel Totally agree, room for improvement is a great thing. So is constructive criticism, which, "all your useless information was nothing more than 'Mental Masturbation'" most certainly is not. All the best.
The best comprehensive review i have seen of the Hilux
Cheers man, very much appreciate that.
Take care Harry Ghajanan R :)
The amount of steering work that guy put in is crazy
Just burning calories anbu999 ;-)
Off-roading is where the Hilux feels more at home and what it's mainly designed for. Thanks.

I will always go for manuel, purely because I find it easier for off roading and its also a tad smoother

The effort on steering 😂😂🤙🏻
Haha, just working hard so you don't have to ;-)
Good off road tyres.
What's the difference between the 2019 vs 2020 model?

Good review bro thank you whats wrong with your steering

Is it comfortable on road?

$65,000 and you don't even get CarPlay
Unfortunately you are correct, no CarPlay or Android Auto. Although newer 2024-spec cars should now include it.
lane departure alert..its a bit more than that but
