Cliche answer Optimus Prime after the three part mini series. His easy and mature nature and just being a big powerful heroic truck. He can be defeated but will win in the end. More realistic than being unbelievably unbeatable. Being able to reason and then lead Grimlock.
Jazz would be the guy to hang out with period, Blaster the guy to be with Jazz and you, Grimlock the scary yet cool guy you want if you get into a fight. All three are cool, can fight and can/are leaders of their own groups. Would have Idris Elba voice Jazz and be his human avatar.
Definitely had to be Starscream, he's got a cool design and I loved how much more conflict he added to the show. I think it would have been substantially less interesting if he wasn't in it.
@bigzuu226 even back then as a kid, you really COULD tell that Prime was something special no? Although for me that moment when he screamed MEGATRON! as the Decepticons blasted off to Cybertron sent shivers down my spine and is one of the most iconic moments for me....you could FEEL his anguish.
I think his Fall of Cybertron version also deserves a special mention if only for the fact that he was Bruticus tearing the Ark apart and said "ABSOLUTELY F*CKING NOT" and proceeded to face him one on one when EVERYONE ELSE was terrified, his mere presence boosted the morale of the hopeless troops so much that they coordinated and pushed the Decepticons back, all while Jazz took Bruticus down almost singlehandedly.
Oh that sounds cool and VERY on point for Jazz, similar to how he took on all five Predacons in the IDW comics. Unfortunately I never played the game, which is why I never got the toy either. But thanks for mentioning him! 👍👍👍
Jazz is a character that means a lot to me we I was little girl i love him and ironhide that why it really sad not to see them in cartoons nowadays but just like anyone I still love him no matter what
Could it be due to Jazz originally having such a legendary voice? I'm sure they could find someone who can do a Scatman Crothers voice. As long as they don't copy Bay & use a racist stereotype voice
Another great video. Never owned this guy either. I met Paul Eiding (G1 Perceptor) at a Comicon here in Perth. He talked fondly about Scatman and his entertaining nature and seems Scatman put a lot of himself in this character.

As a Jazz fan, I am glad this was shown in my recommended, my first toy that I actually recollect getting was the TF Universe Legends class Jazz, I still have him today, tho it is very scratched up. Later I got the Newage Jazz and it is special to me because it is legends scale, would recommend if you like Jazz. Thank you for making this video!

I was lucky enough to have the original G1 Jazz toy. As with many of the 1984 line, Jazz was a very delicate transformation. That is why I found Jazz's fate in the 2007 movie quite comical. See, beyond the windshield snapping off. My Jazz toy suffered the same fate as his movie compatriot. He was accidentally broken at the rotation point in the torso. I do not know if this had happened to many of the Jazz toys. But, I found it funny none the less.
Hmmm I wonder if that was a common issue. Maybe Bay also had a Jazz toy that broke at the waist and figured that would be a great way to kill him off in the movie 😅never had the toy myself but I guess the windshield thing was a common weak spot. Same with Bluestreak which I had :)

The 2002 WCF against your Lakers, as well as Tim Donaghy, turned me off the NBA for years. But I knew all about LeBron. Living so close to Akron, who didn't? Hell, my HS alma mater played him in the playoffs. But it was magical when he came home. It didn't hurt that I was a fan of JR Smith. Plus my then 11-year-old son loved Kyrie. Before the latter went nutty!🤣 Watching that team come back to win that series was almost cathartic. Sure, the legal gambling hasn't helped my drunken outbursts of, "This shts rigged!!" But I can enjoy the game again. The hilarious topper to this far too long rant. My son is a huge fan of De'Aaron Fox & the Kings! Life really is a circle 🤣🤣🤣

While I did recognize Jordan's greatness I was constantly rooting against him and the Bulls ha ha...I guess it stemmed from them nailing the coffin on Magic's Lakers showtime :P And I guess you could understand how much I hated..and feared the Webber Kings ha ha. I remember Bibby and Peja giving me nightmares. As for LeBron, I really didn't care at first, but "The Decision" really swayed my opinion on him to the negative, and I was SO happy when the Heat lost to Dallas....but now he's a Laker and my love is for the team more than the player, so I have to just accept him..good AND bad...mostly bad. If they didn't win the in 2020, this whole LeBron era would have been a disaster...we gave away so many good players....Ingram, Kuzma, Randle...good thing Russel came back, but even he's on his way out again... What I don’t understand is the moneypit of licensing when these engineers/designers can do little robots that fold up yet can’t do an “ish” altmode design to avoid extra costs and delays.
I won't even try to make sense of it myself, but I figure that it truly is a gray area. They can do and "ish" alt mode bit I guess that still is a risk they might not want to take? As the the license owner still might go after them and argue it still is their design yada yada? As for the live action movie, I think it's more of a who can pay us to use their cars? Porsche no? OK who's next?

Great video, I never had Jazz but loved the character. My favorite g1 cartoon transformer is different from my favorite g1 toy transformer which is still even different from my favorite g1 comic transformer. G1 Cartoon: Starscream - loved the scheming and the voice was so well done. G1 toy: Laserbeak (or any cassette) - fit in pocket could take anywhere easily G1 Comic: Shockwave - basically a better leader than Megatron and had a bit of that scheming that was seen it the cartoon version of Starscream

Jazz is one of my childhood favorites in all of Transformers, I also once bought his ‘07 toy back then, it was one of the many TF toys from the 2007 film I got, such nostalgic memories!!! ☺️☺️☺️😌
I think nothing else was standing behind VW's massive no is the contract with EA while they'd developed NEED FOR SPEED PORSCHE UNLEASHED/2000. Recently (few years ago) that contract became outdated so Porsches started to appear in every media other than EA related ones.
jazz was gonna appear in cyberverse as a female but was cut (jazz was mentioned in the wild wild wheel and appeared in the cyberverse toyline as a male)

Michael Bay really punked Jazz…but he pretty much ruined almost every Transformer that was featured in his movies….even Bee basically became a joke. Can’t blame you for having him as your favorite!

He and Blaster two of the most charismatic characters that ooozed cool and hardly any good stories lines after G1 in any t.v series or movie. Animated tried but was cut short. Jazz is a swave smooth talking brother, that's what makes him cool. Idk why but I always dug on G2 Transformers, HotRod/Rodamous, Insectacons, and Headmasters. Everyone likes the G1 Dinobots of course😂. I think Gi Joe's Shockwave actually lost his name to the Transformers for awhile (I got the weird Shockblast fig and file card)😅. Oh, and I gotta mention G1 Blaster and Soundwave. 'NO WAY! TWO CAN PLAY!' Yo Freaking Joe!
Yeah after the original G1 line a lot of trademarks for names lapsed and Hasbro lost them to other toy companies. But nowadays with TF being a mega tent pole for Hasbro again, he'll will freeze over before they let any of their trademarks get taken again 😅 oh yeah and that Blaster scene....CLASSIC 👍👍👍
@retrojoe8290 nah they lost it to another company called Lanard toys. Who used it for their version of Gijoe called The Corps! Which I guess bombed cuz I never heard of them before. Funny, I have each of those 3P jazz figures *_except_* fanstoys. But I never got on the fanstoys fanboy train. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ I recall picking up Maketoys G2 versions of jazz and starscream the same year off of ebay. They were probably convention exclusives. The maketoys and new age jazz are also nice legends scale options, while iron factory is a more stylized take. I'd be down for a missing link jazz. Imagine, a simple to transform, diecast jazz with split legs and articulation?!?!? 💸
I never had first hand experience with either coolsville or agent Meister. From the moment I saw it, Maketoys had my money. He just looked a level above the other two. and like I said, had Jive never came along I would've been perfectly happy with Downbeat :) Yes thosnlegends scale TFs in. General are quite amazing bits of TF design and engineering but I. Had to tap out given my limited funds 😅 But yeah I just got missing link Prime and I am ALL IN on anything else they release in this line. And Jazz WOULD be sweet especially given I never got the original toy :)
i hope to see the other versions of jazz that existed before cyberverse existed as a female, also wonder what jazz would look like as an armada and cybertron character, jazz's shattered glass version is based off of cybertron crosswise

The OG paint job for Jazz is a classic. Mirage porsche design is rather bland if you ask me 😅

Jazz is one of my childhood favorites in all of Transformers, I also once bought his ‘07 toy back then, it was one of the many TF toys from the 2007 film I got, such nostalgic memories!!! ☺️☺️☺️😌

I think nothing else was standing behind VW's massive no is the contract with EA while they'd developed NEED FOR SPEED PORSCHE UNLEASHED/2000. Recently (few years ago) that contract became outdated so Porsches started to appear in every media other than EA related ones.
Yeah I don't think it was actually confirmed. Just heavily speculated by Fans and collectors. The EA thing sounds more realistic 👍👍👍
jazz was gonna appear in cyberverse as a female but was cut (jazz was mentioned in the wild wild wheel and appeared in the cyberverse toyline as a male)
OK, I'll not sure how the fandom would've reacted to that if it did push through...probably best that it didn't happen 😅

Thanks! How is Agent Meister? I'm afraid out of all of them he's the one I know least about. I do remember him being one of the first to be announced but took quite a while to actually come out. By that time I was already happy with Downbeat :)
@@StoriesFromTheToyshelf It was so long ago that I don't even remember unboxing him haha. I just know he's in my MP display with his hook and shoulder speakers. I do love the metallic finish on some of his parts though. It makes the figure 'jump out' more :)

Lol everyone love him but Michael Bay and whoever made Mirage into him the last movie oh and the masterpiece line. However yup besides Prime he was definitely my favourite.
Michael Bay really punked Jazz…but he pretty much ruined almost every Transformer that was featured in his movies….even Bee basically became a joke. Can’t blame you for having him as your favorite!

He and Blaster two of the most charismatic characters that ooozed cool and hardly any good stories lines after G1 in any t.v series or movie. Animated tried but was cut short. Great editing by the way. Forces me to rewatch to catch your references. Lol 😂

Jazz is a swave smooth talking brother, that's what makes him cool. Idk why but I always dug on G2 Transformers, HotRod/Rodamous, Insectacons, and Headmasters. Everyone likes the G1 Dinobots of course😂. I think Gi Joe's Shockwave actually lost his name to the Transformers for awhile (I got the weird Shockblast fig and file card)😅. Oh, and I gotta mention G1 Blaster and Soundwave. 'NO WAY! TWO CAN PLAY!'

Yeah after the original G1 line a lot of trademarks for names lapsed and Hasbro lost them to other toy companies. But nowadays with TF being a mega tent pole for Hasbro again, he'll will freeze over before they let any of their trademarks get taken again 😅 oh yeah and that Blaster scene....CLASSIC 👍👍👍

@retrojoe8290 nah they lost it to another company called Lanard toys. Who used it for their version of Gijoe called The Corps! Which I guess bombed cuz I never heard of them before. They eventually abandoned the license and Hasbro scooped it right back up. Whew...I had to Google all of that! The things I do for my viewers 😅 so now you know....👍👍👍

I recall picking up Maketoys G2 versions of jazz and starscream the same year off of ebay. They were probably convention exclusives.
The maketoys and new age jazz are also nice legends scale options, while iron factory is a more stylized take.
I'd be down for a missing link jazz. Imagine, a simple to transform, diecast jazz with split legs and articulation?!?!?

I never had first hand experience with either coolsville or agent Meister. From the moment I saw it, Maketoys had my money. He just looked a level above the other two. and like I said, had Jive never came along I would've been perfectly happy with Downbeat :)
Yes thosnlegends scale TFs in. General are quite amazing bits of TF design and engineering but I. Had to tap out given my limited funds 😅
But yeah I just got missing link Prime and I am ALL IN on anything else they release in this line. And Jazz WOULD be sweet especially given I never got the original toy :)
