    Nice flying guys! The problem is many people that watch this won't appreciate how difficult it is, especially those who haven't flown fixed wing FPV, or even some that do but just haven't tried formation.

    Awesome. You should try adding in a trim condition for everyone but the lead, could have it on a switch to turn it off. This is what the Blue Angles do, they trim away from the formation so they have to pull the stick/plane in and only have to hold correct amount of stick pressure rather than stick pressure in both directions. For the left and right I guess yaw would be the correct trim which may be more difficult (at least for me) to do since its coupled with throttle. Maybe roll would work too. For the rear since he appears to fly low, he could have a couple clicks of down trim so he just has to hold up pressure to stay in/tight.
    Love what you guys do, wish the old guys at my field were into this, I just added FPV to my T33.

    • @BlackstarFPVDemoTeam
      @BlackstarFPVDemoTeam  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Absolutely, have read that Blue Angels have to hold 20lbs back pressure to hold level flight! That’s insane, but apparently works!

      @Garrisonrios 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@BlackstarFPVDemoTeam indeed I heard up to 30lbs even. They start with a lower spring setting in winter training and work their way up to the stronger spring but still, super tough guys.

      i have around 750 hours of flying formation i the Virtual red arrows on DCS and we put a couple of clicks of nose down trim too. And we only flew with 50% and 25% expo or so on that so you have more control. It was truly epic flying a 9 ship even on a 2d screen and damn hard. Then VR came. And now we have this too! Amazing times we live in!

    WOW!😯 A DREAM COME TRUE!... I come from the virtual formation flying community and often dreamed of the possibility of FPV R/C formation flying. Question: Has anyone considered flying from their own "cockpit" instead of the hand-held R/C controls? Even in the virtual world things can get twitchy, but our flight controls can be adjusted through the input curves ingame. Small aircraft, of course, are very susceptible to wind currents. Maybe adjustable input curves and flight controls in proper position could smooth things out...???... I wish I had the resources to get into this! GOOD STUFF! Blue skies to you!

    Finally Someone that realizes what FPV is/should be. Great Job Bro. may I suggest that that the lead carry a 360 camera and allow the audience look around at will. Nice thing about 360 is one never sees the exact video twice. Might increase your views too. I know I've watched the 360 vid of the Blue Angles many times. Again Great Job. You should add your Pilot Talk (Audio Formation commands) too.

    Amazing! I have the 70mm Viper and I absolutely love it. My plan is to upgrade to the 90mm once I've "mastered" the 70mm. A question I have is, can I get an FPV system that I can use with my Spektrum NX8? Maybe with VR goggles? I've never looked in to it. So I'm a total newbie.

    • @BlackstarFPVDemoTeam
      @BlackstarFPVDemoTeam  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      we are gyro-stabbed in this video, same as AS3X or maybe even better. there is a lot of chop in the air and even though the Vipers are a great platform for this type of flying it just doesn't have the inertia to cut through all that without bobbing up and down a bit. Further research is in progress :-).
