    I’m so happy to see something other than porridge for breakfast!, I’m so fed up of watching porridge and blueberries on everyone’s videos it’s put me off ever wanting porridge. I’m so much more of a savoury breakfast girl.

    I riced cauliflower tonight, for the first time! I added it to my other non starchy vegetables, all steamed up. Made tamari sauce for the third time and it turned out completely different from the first two times, go figure that one out. I could eat a whole plate of just veggies and sauce but I did add brown rice to the other half of my plate. Some recipes I've made have it all in one dish so it's nice to plate up 50-50, regulation style. I'm in week 6 of WFPB starch solution method. The recipes you show here in the video are ones I want to make soon, so thank you.

      HI Judy. I have been using that Foreman for 20 years. I knew there are some really nice new models out but this one still works so I cant get rid of it. I love beans and rice together so I had to use cauliflower rice in order to avoid having a plate of starches. I hate cauliflower but the beans are so full of taste, it conpsates for the plainness of the cauliflower rice. Thanks so much for watching,.

    Those recipes all look good! I would use an instant pot for the beans & the soup instead. Once you start using it, you never want to watch a pan on the stove again. Saute in it, add remaining ingredients & close the lid. So easy!

    • @PlantBasedDads
      @PlantBasedDads  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Cheryl. I was actually going to make this in the Instant Pot. But, someone left a comment a few videos ago about how vegans are always using their "Gadgets". I think they even said. "If the power goes out, they cant cook anything". I was kind of annoyed. I started thinking that maybe I should do less Instant Pot cooking, since every video I do has an Instant Pot meal. I will probably go back and put Instant Pot directions in the video descriptions for the beans. They would be simple to make in there for sure. Thanks so much for watching.

    • @PlantBasedDads
      @PlantBasedDads  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yes you can! You can sauté all the veggies first, do the food processor mixture of the beans and tomatoes and then dump it all in the Instant Pot and cook on high Pressure for 5 minutes with a natural release. That should work. Since the beans are already cooked in the can before you open them, I don't think it would need more time that that. If you do this in the instant pot, let me know if five minutes is enough and if so, i'll put the instructions in the video description.

    • @PlantBasedDads
      @PlantBasedDads  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Rob. Did you watch the actual video? I talk about this in length, twice in the video. Once during the plate up of the meal and again after I was done cooking all the food as a tip to people who wanted beans and rice together. It is cauliflower rice. Cauliflower is a non-starchy veg. I really need to have rice with beans, especially when the beans are so full of flavor. I was not willing to give up the feel of rice for this meal, so I opened up a bag of frozen cauliflower rice and heated it up. Watch the whole video. There is a lot of great info in there about how to make this way of eating work.
