      Hi Joey - the ingredient list says whole wheat but yours doesn’t look like whole wheat. Can I use just regular (one ingredient- durum wheat) spaghetti noodles and still have it turn out ok?

    I would serve it on a bed of finely shredded cabbage, topped with a little cilantro and teamed with a mound of broccoli and a small asian inspired salad (pea pods, bean sprouts, lettuce, slivered almonds, and mandarin oranges). YUM! I am ready for dinner tonight! Thanks!

    OMG! I made these for dinner and they were so yummy! I doubled the batch since I had a 16 oz. box of spaghetti, so now I have lots of leftovers. I depend on you and two other TH-camrs for recipes and tips. I like Hungry Vegan Mama from Texas, Derek Simnett from Canada, and you. Each of you brings something different to the table (or kitchen!) making my new plant based lifestyle a true culinary adventure. Thank you.

    • @PlantBasedDads
      @PlantBasedDads  3 ปีที่แล้ว +7

      There are never any leftovers with this meal. We always eat it as soon as it's done. But, the few times we did have left overs, it was really good as a cold noodle dish sitting in the fridge that you snack on with a fork every few hours while you are looking for other food to eat. Not that I ever do that, but you know. :). Thanks so much for watching.

    Hands down best pasta dish I have made since transitioning to plant based diet. So flavorful and had to adjust for lentil, chickpea noodles had on hand with cooking time yet the final product delicious and will be making time and time again now I discovered your recipe. Thank you for clear demo and service to others raising awareness about healthy eating - I, so, didn’t miss all the fat /oil in standard American dish and all the ingredients worked wonderfully together for flavor 🙏🏻

    we might try it.

      Pesto has a lot of garlic. It’s Italian. Pine nuts, garlic, salt, pepper, olive oil and fresh basil. Other greens or almonds and walnuts will work and there is also red pesto. „Smash“ this in the mortar or in a solid bowl with a wooden pestle.

    Wish you were on a cooking channel. It would be fun to be able to watch a vegan chef.

    • @PlantBasedDads
      @PlantBasedDads  3 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      You know, I have sent video clips of my shows to Plant Based Network, Roku, Food network and many other places. Nobody is interested in a vegan cooking show, which is so strange since that segment of the population is booming. I don't get it either. How many damned shows do we need with animal based ingredients and chef elimination contests? It's absurd.

    An Italian cook broke his pasta in half AND cooked it in an instant pot? 😮

    • @PlantBasedDads
      @PlantBasedDads  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      When I was making that video, I actually wrote to Instant Pot and told them they needed to make a new version of their pressure cooker that looks like a oval slow cooker so I wouldn't have to break another package of pasta up for the rest of my life. No response. HA!

      Mine were just simple peppers from the garden so if you have a few, throw them in. But mine weren't hot peppers or anything like that. They just gave it some color. So the taste wont matter if you leave them out. Thanks so much for watching.
