That’s what’s so awesome about Ricky, he’s so modest. When he talks about anything’s it’s no big deal kinda of a situation. But we all know how awesome it is.
OMG! That's a seriously amazing Nerd Cave (Game Room)... There's so many awesome collectables! This whole video was almost 20 minutes of pure nostalgia... I would love to have the opportunity to visit and hang out for a while.... I would thoroughly enjoy talking about the different pieces... I wonder what his absolute favorite thing is in his entire collection....
I have a small game room too and it's hard to display things to their fullest glory. But your game room has given me some more idea thanks. also that Sega sign was awesome thanks for showing your game room off.
I’ve never had anyone to brag about this too so imma try here, I managed to snag a sign from my old GameStop that’s from when they bought EB Games out. It has Crash and Cortex arm-in-arm with truce above them 👌🏻
Man he’s got some awesome stuff!! I’ve been looking for some Nintendo Power magazines lately, just picked up the ones with Zelda Link’s Awakening and Final Fantasy II on the cover!
That is so true about collecting - you either recreate your childhood, or buy the things you wish you had - I'm in the latter category, I have most things I wanted now, I'm still trying to fill gaps in sets though
Grew up with a Toy's R Us in Battle Creek, Michigan until they closed up, I can't even remember when they closed. There was only one KB toy's that was in Lakeview Square Mall. I remember the Toy's R Us we had, had kiosks of the game systems, I would be playing them while my parents were shopping.
I remember going to KB Toys in McCain Mall as a kid, but there was nothing better than going to Toys R Us as a kid, and then enjoying that with my kids before it closed
I do that too. My friends and older cousins had toys that I didn't have growing up but used to play sometimes when we had sleep overs. Ninja Turtles, Power Rangers, even managed to get the Thunder Birds Tracey Island (big toy in the UK in the 80s/90s...
I loved going to Toys R Us but the KayBee Toys in my mall was my go to when I got dragged to the mall with my parents once I ran out of tokens at Aladdin's Castle. Also hit Electronics Boutique to drool over the Neo Geo AES I could never afford as well as Babbages and Circus World toy store. My mall had all of them and was a weekly visit for me as a kids in the 80's and 90's.
It’s funny that you mentioned TurboGrafx because the only people that I actually ever have known in my lifetime and I’ve lived in Illinois my entire life my cousins got one when they came back from California but my grandma ended up with it and then one of my cousins ended up throwing it away and I was pissed
Great video bro! You are right about buying something or rebuying from our childhood. I do the same thing! I'm an adult so I can buy what I didn't have as a kid! Makes life more fun as a gamer!
Great video guys, so cool to see all this stuff and everyone hanging out. Also I completely agree I'm just trying to rebuy my childhood and buy the stuff I always wanted when I was a kid too...Poor Phoenix Lol
I had a TurboGrafx 16 and I'm from Western NY, lol Def not a West Coast thing. It was a cool console, Wish I never traded it when I was younger. Ricky's Gameroom is so cool, He really utilized his space well. Really cool to see other's gameroom setups. I loved the Transformers of course. Great vid.
It’ll be cool if all these retro dudes got together and made an 8 bit game for the new consoles but with the upgrades we have now. And actually have the art on the box that carry the game be in the actual game. Like an rpg game.
I miss those video game store places like electronics boutique, Funcoland, Babbages where I bought my some of my video games and also KB toys and of course Toys r us where I bought my NES system & some of my first games for the system.👍😊
I would love to see a series where viewers send through there toy rooms and you do a talk of them with tips and commentary . Imagine the rooms from around the world and the different types of collections would be cool
