Wonderful bike!! I raced as a Pro in the 90s for OLMO with exactly that Columbus Genius frameset (even though they made custom geometry) and Campagnolo groupset/wheels. Stunning bike, still my favorite after all these years - and compared to carbon and titanium. Congrats to this beauty 🙌🏽 enjoy
Great build! I just got done with building an Olmo myself with Campy centaur silver groupset and it rides great. Couldn't have done it without watching your channel. Thank you for the great content! I always learn a lot watching your videos. Keep up the great work!
I always loved the olmo’s…particularly the earlier versions with the lovely lug sets! I always wished for a Genius frame but never had the chance to race one. This is a great build and that bike is “ menacing “ 😃 Who would not love to own that! Great job.😢
Very good job and lovely bike 👍The Genius is a very good tubing which makes light and fast bikes. I consider Genius as a better alternative than titanium or carbon, let's not forget the Dedacciai DR Zero which is also a very good steel. I am more a Shimano Dura Ace 7800 guy, but you have done an outstanding job by repainting it and fitting with nice wheels and nice record 10 speed group.
Another great project. I remember the 'Olmo Agony' adds in the cycling magazines back in the 80's I'm curious about why you used plastic when screwing in the bottom bracket fittings? Well done!
Well that turned out very well, what a gem my friend ……..an absolute classic look ………..I loved the paint scheme. That ITM stem was a new one for me, never seen that clamping variation before, may I ask the model name ?. Also can I ask did you buy the CX 11 power torque cranks as 46 /36 and then swop the big chainring out for a 50T ? If so it makes a nice alternative to Centaur. Love the fact you stuck to 10 speed and used that Record RD, a perfect choice. Put simply what a beautiful overall build….. wishing you loads of fun on it 😁👏👍
Hello my friend, I have already tested and adjusted the bike several times and I can say that it worked very well. It runs beautifully. I bought the crankset exactly as you say. I replaced the 46 with a 50 tooth. Stem is ITM 800 OPEN, I had to use it because of the modern shape of the handlebars. Thank you very much for your support.
Great looking steel bike with perfect matching color scheme! Seems like a limited special edition of the Vitalicio Seguros team. Really outstanding paintwork! I would be interested in how did you done this! Is this a 60 frame size, I guess?.
This vintage road bikea are not from my generation ...... My generations are aluminion / carbon frame ......... But i have a vintage road bike (steel frame ) in my colletion......... For some reason , i find this vintage road bikes beautiful ..... I love the style . 👍🏼
I still say that moment when you open the Campag toolkit box lid should be accompanied by a golden light and a choir of angels singing!!!

It keeps from marring the aluminium bottom bracket😊

Hi Onroad!
What kind of a crankset is it? It says CX. Is it for cross?
Can I ask, where did you buy it?
By the way, as usual very beautiful build👍
@@nielskjr5432 ano CX je na cyklokros. Bylo tam 46/36, změnil jsem to na 50/36. Koupil jsem to lehce použité někde ve Francii . Děkuji za podporu!
