Dear King, Yes the name is a bit weird, but we quadrupled the recipe and it made 7 Chaffles. We have the mini waffle maker that used a heaping 1/4 cup. It took 7 minutes to cook in the waffle iron and they were lovely as a pizza bottom. Thank you again for another wonderful recipe. If you froze these I bet you could pop them in the toaster to warm and then make your pizza and bake in the oven on a rack. 🥰

I mixed in these pizza sauce, pepperoni diced up and all the other ingredients instead of waiting to put them on top and then stick them in the oven and when it came out of the waffle iron, I just put some Parmesan cheese on the top and it is deeelicious! My basic chaffle is an egg, cheese and pork panko mix. They are crispy and delicious every single time! I do variations on them with spices and flavorings but the panko makes it so much crispier and reduces the eggy flavor. I have used that recipe in my chaffle make of course-especially for pizzas, but also in a little “bowl-maker” gadget i got from the Dash mini series. It makes perfect crispy taco shells!! Also “tortilla” chips for dipping!!! I add taco seasoning to the base recipe for the tortilla chips and they are so delicious!!! Makes a great snack for dipping!!! I usually make a large batch of taco meat and keep it in the fridge through the week for rollups, tacos, dips, etc. Maybe bc I live in Texas, but Texican food is almost a daily THING for me!!! I have also done the same with pizza-flavored meat, but noticed it didn’t go nearly as quickly as the taco meat!

When making chaffles dropping a small amount shredded mozz on the iron before putting on the mixture makes it even crunchier.... Put some on top of the mix also before putting the lid down.
I only just heard of chaffles recently, and this video is currently 2 years old. I think they are awesome, and I can't wait until I get my machine and the rest of the ingredients that I don't currently have. It will be late August/early September, when I get money again. I have a little over 2 weeks to wait. I will be able to eat sandwiches again.

I just made (and ate) a normal pizza using your pizza dough recipe. I didn't have any eggs left, so I tried it without the egg - it was superb. That pizza dough recipe definitely doesn't need an egg in it.
Yes I saw a lady on here doing the exact same recipe but without the egg. She said the same, no egg needed and came out fine. I think that the egg can make the dough to eggy and wet to work with
Very true - it was far less wet to work with than last time when I used an egg in it. Last time I had to add more dry ingredients because it was too wet, but this time (without egg) the dough was just right. There is an upside to using the egg though - the egg will cause the whole recipe to have a slightly less carb-to-weight ratio, but it's not hugely significant.
Been making these for about a year.. great “go to” late night dinner, quick simple easy... also make awesome dessert ones by adding sweetener of choice, vanilla, then top with fave keto fruits n creams
I think the macros for the full size Chaffee are why folks use the mini…especially if it’s a snack rather than a meal. That being said, I was excited to see you use the full size waffle n!

Made the Keto bread yesterday, it could have risen a little bit more, but I blame that on the yeast - in the current "crisis", yeast is like gold dust round here ! It did rise though and tasted great. Just had the chaffles for lunch, really impressed ! Thanks Keto King, you've made doing Keto even easier !!
I was about to give up on the chaffle because of the eggy and cheesy flavor. I think the almond flour tones it down a bit. I added the same thing except I used cheddar cheese instead of mozzarella. I made them into hamburger buns and it turned out very well. For my pizza base, I usually use shredded cheddar cheese, cream cheese, almond flour, eggs, shredded parmesan, and previously boiled shredded chicken.

It's basically fathead dough, except done in a waffle maker, so basically any of your fathead dough recipes that are done in a pan or oven. I guess the chaffle thing is probably the fastest fathead creation I've seen to make though.

I've just made mine in a tiny round pan then grilled it. I added whatever l fancied into the mixture topping off with salami pieces. Nice & crispy too. Had with avocado & Kimchi. Totally delish! Thanks a million to Keto King for such a great breakfast. Another quick & great tasting recipe.
All the other recipes I have seen since Chaffles were introduced use 1/4 cup of cheese not 1/2 cup and as CALORIES MATTER if you are trying to lose weight.... I use 20 GRAMS of cheese and a TEASPOON of coconut flour and ITALIAN SEASONING which helps to get rid of the egg flavor.
Definitely. I made an egg sandwich with bacon, egg and cheese for breakfast and it was awesome! I used basic recipe and added garlic granules, a pinch of salt and a couple shakes of Italian seasoning. The flavor choices are pretty much limitless.
I prefer psyllium husk to almond or coconut flour in my Chaffles. My kids and husband agree. I don't add the cream cheese either. We do sweet with swerve and cranberries and nuts or we mix in sliced up pepperoni and kalamatas. So good!

You can also use lupin flour as well. Even less carbs.

I add a tsp or so of mayo to the base. It surprisingly really cuts down on the eggy taste. Only way I make chaffles is using mayo.

I use protein in mine no almond flour. I use unflavored protein for savory ones and chocolate protein for sweet ones.

You could use a well seasoned cast iron pan. Especially for making sandwiches or hoagie type bread.

Yes, with the mini waffle makers you use a quarter cup of cheese and half an egg. This makes two mini waffles or one regular size waffle.

Leave it out. Isn’t necessary. I don’t like the texture even with super fine ground almond flour.

Definitely. I made an egg sandwich with bacon, egg and cheese for breakfast and it was awesome! I used basic recipe and added garlic granules, a pinch of salt and a couple shakes of Italian seasoning. The flavor choices are pretty much limitless.
I may have to jump on this chaffle train.

Coconut is very absorbent and may make the chaffle dry. It would also change the taste too. But definitely worth a try. Let us know how it goes.
I have used coconut but use about half as much. I like psyllium husk the best.
But allergy here. Do you think flax or psyllium would work! #nutandcoconutallergy
I think flax seed meal may work.
I prefer psyllium husk to almond or coconut flour in my Chaffles. My kids and husband agree. I don't add the cream cheese either. We do sweet with swerve and cranberries and nuts or we mix in sliced up pepperoni and kalamatas. So good!
Add a little apple cider vinegar it kills any smell and strong eggy taste . It’s an Arab people trick
