Wow...I wanted to see this again after I read the books. The Black Temple. It was once called "The Temple of Karabor". It was where the Draenai were. (can't spell their name.) And it was where Velen lived at the time. And in reality, THERE WERE THOUSANDS of Orcs. Not the amount you saw when that group was running up the stairs. This trailer touched me deeply. It did because I read the books. I just thought it was epic the first time I saw it with out reading the books. Now, it is sad.
Man,Blizzard announced that the Black Temple will be the Alliance capital city in WoD, but in it's prime when it was known as Karabor. Looking at the raid now and how large the place is with all those floors and large chambers, it'll really be interesting to see it as a city with proffession trainers, banks, AH, NPCs roaming around, etc. I just hope it wont be only half of the temple or some bullshit like that. The Draenei sought refuge on Draenor for millenia and were at peace with the orcs during that time. The orcs even originally taught the draenei about shamanism, regardless of what people say about Nobundo. So, the orcs didn't mind them at all. Quite the contrary. What caused problems was the fact that the orcs ended up corrupted by the Legion. And there you go.
Yes, you are correct. I know that the World First Kill of Kael'Thas was by the guild Nihilum, the same guild that got World Firsts on all the Black Temple Bosses. You can look it all up on Wowpedia.
@DarkLordTyphor Indeed, but at the time when the Illidari (Illidan and his followers) came to Outland, Shattrath was still a ruin. Only after Illidan's conquest of Outland and years following that did reconstruction on the city begin, and it was done by draenei not affiliated with Akama and his clan.
As a nostalgia rush... and because they were around at the time.. I really, REALLY hope we get to see Grand Anchorite Akama and Vindicator Nobundo in Warlords of Draenor!
Raul Gonçalves I suggest you look up what "brilliant" means. WoW is neither fresh nor innovative anymore, and is merely a fading, dying star. Cataclysm wasn't a 'failure' in the sense that it still made them a ridiculous amount of money, however there was a significant dropoff of players during that time. If you want to look up which expansion 'killed the game,' the closest thing you will find is WotLK. Drastic PvE and PvP dynamic changes, massive class homogenization, and a new direction the game was taken in caused the eventual inevitability. Cataclysm is a favored scapegoat (mind you I haven't played since halfway through cata) but was a product of the new game direction brought to you by Wrath. Anyone who is going along raving about how much good Wrath did for the game need to be executed. You're just wrong.
***** Cataclysm was absolutely a failure. They were hemorrhaging subscribers and actually ended it an entire content patch sooner. There was supposed to be an old god raid between FL and Deathwing in the underwater zone but unfortunately with subs tanking they pulled the plug early. That's why the Deathwing raid seemed so rushed.
@TheXand19 Lol, no. Have you played war3 ? The Temple was alrdy owned by orcs, then Burning Legion opened a portal for them to Azeroth, to Destroy Lordaeron. When Orcs kinda lost the war against Lordaeron, Thrall rebelled against the Burning Legion and made his way to Kalimdor. There, Burning Legion set up a trap for Grom. Mannaroth infected a powerful 'well' with his blood. Grom knew that drinking the Well's water will make him more powerful, he and some of his troops drank it and they became
he wasnt evil and he wasnt the betrayer if you know the whole story and think he still is you deeserve to be gagged and tied up and thrown in a river and left there to drown. He was betrayed and any smart person would know this if they know the story.
Jason Dean Dulier Jr. Can't quite tell if you're serious about believing someone should drown simply because they're opposed to your viewpoint of a fictional character in a fictional universe, but if you are you should seriously consider checking in for some psychiatric assistance.
The funny thing about good and evil and who's right and who's wrong is that it's entirely and completely subjective. You don't get to decide. You're fine to believe they should read the lore and correct themselves. But not reading the lore and not correcting themselves doesn't lead to death, fortunately.
Raids took longer to complete back then, because they were bigger and generally more difficult then they are now. Also, im fairly certain the mount hyjal patch was released in that patch too (anyone who played can correct me if im wrong), so that was what, 14 bosses. In one patch? That was more bosses then were released on cata's release. They did release sunwell after that though, which most people didn't finish.
Broken are the Draenei who were left on Draenor and exposed to demonic magic, thus making them withered. In the original lore before the retcons in TBC, the draenei originally looked how the broken look now.The blue space goats were not what they looked like
Illidan :"Magtheridon lures scores of hapless demons through them daily" Keal :"Then we must seal them, permanently" just did this level on frozen throne 2:20
@XandWacky He literally meant they tore the planet asunder. it used to be a round nice planet, have you seen outland? Its a floating piece of land now.
@LesnarNextBigThingF5 It's Kael'thalas, the one who was leader of the Blood Elves. After Arthas Destroyed Sunwell (high elves) and Corrupted Sylvanases soul. Those who survived named themselves Blood Elves and Kael'Thalas was they're leader. They fought some time against the Scourge in Lordaeron, till the alliance kinda "betrayed them". Nagas helped Blood Elves to defeat some troops of the Scourge, to get out from the Lordaeron.
Haven't done much questing in Shadowmoon Valley, have you? She's not in the Temple in that scene. She's in hiding with Akama, deep below a jail filled with demons, pretending to be his prisoner (although unhappily and impatiently.) You find them there after questing for either Scryers of Aldor and killing lots of Ashtongue Deathswourne. Later during the Black Temple raid, both of them figure in the Illidan kill.
Anyone sorta miss the old "evil dream team"? I thought Illidan, Vashj, kael and Akama was such a cool team. So fun in WC3 and BC.

You're just wrong.
steet2 Someone is butthurt over a game
***** Cataclysm was absolutely a failure. They were hemorrhaging subscribers and actually ended it an entire content patch sooner. There was supposed to be an old god raid between FL and Deathwing in the underwater zone but unfortunately with subs tanking they pulled the plug early. That's why the Deathwing raid seemed so rushed.
steet2 now u can play the WOW u remembered
WoW started to go down hill when they did the Racial revamp the 1st time. I'm pointing at the overpowered EMFH.
*sheds a tear*
Megatron WEAK!
+Megatron PATHETIC!
+Megatron FOOL!
Come back when yall done blowing each other off
So good this trailer is, quality we won't ever see again.
Illidan was never evil in my opinion, i hate how he got the crappy end of the stick
he wasnt evil and he wasnt the betrayer if you know the whole story and think he still is you deeserve to be gagged and tied up and thrown in a river and left there to drown.
Or maybe the noob should read the lore anyone that does had to know he is not unless they are just simply stupid
The funny thing about good and evil and who's right and who's wrong is that it's entirely and completely subjective. You don't get to decide. You're fine to believe they should read the lore and correct themselves. But not reading the lore and not correcting themselves doesn't lead to death, fortunately.
Jason Dean Dulier Jr. lol relax, we're learning
They did release sunwell after that though, which most people didn't finish.
how do draenei become "the broken" and "the lost ones"
I tihnk it is because of the demonic influence and that they were so distant from their home planet
Broken are the Draenei who were left on Draenor and exposed to demonic magic, thus making them withered.
In the original lore before the retcons in TBC, the draenei originally looked how the broken look now.The blue space goats were not what they looked like
It is because of a plague that guldan spread among draenei.Eredar are the ones influenced by fel magic.I am not sure though
I didn't know before, but the scythe-like blades Akama carries are called "Kama"
Chills
Blizzard acquired by Activision. Activision Blizz acquired by Microsoft @2:50.
I remember the game as it used to be. A place of fun and adventure.
I remember too the day the pandas came
Pandas were good after WoD the game was truly lost with exception of Legion being pretty good
the music when illidan shows up and kaelthas talks about the demons epic
Illidan :"Magtheridon lures scores of hapless demons through them daily"
Keal :"Then we must seal them, permanently"
just did this level on frozen throne 2:20
Best raid ever ! Illidan boss fight was so awesome and iconic!
I prefer to remember WOW 5.*** ,not the abomination it has become
@XandWacky He literally meant they tore the planet asunder. it used to be a round nice planet, have you seen outland? Its a floating piece of land now.
came here after seeing the remastered one
I prefer to remember the Horde as it used to be. Not the Sylvanas cringefest it has become.
oh man...
My oh my how things appear when the dust has settled.
I prefer to remember Cartoon Network as it used to be...not the abomination it has become!
Who is here after Classic TBC announcement?
illidan did nothing wrong.
@mcorrrr the whole orc thing in the video pretty much talks about how the burning legion corrupted the orcs and sent them to kill the draenei
Young Akama was pretty damn handsome.
Nagas helped Blood Elves to defeat some troops of the Scourge, to get out from the Lordaeron.
i prefer to remember wow as it used to be...
dqw ccewe Can you make jokes that aren't already overused ?
Haven't done much questing in Shadowmoon Valley, have you? She's not in the Temple in that scene. She's in hiding with Akama, deep below a jail filled with demons, pretending to be his prisoner (although unhappily and impatiently.) You find them there after questing for either Scryers of Aldor and killing lots of Ashtongue Deathswourne. Later during the Black Temple raid, both of them figure in the Illidan kill.
