It's crazy to me too. I main Japan and I can easily take out the series tanks especially at long ranges. Once you know their armor layout and develop that muscle memory for shot placement it's not that hard. But I constantly see American and German mains hit t series tanks everywhere they can't pen and should know better. Like the turret cheeks. Like why would you even try lol.
@creesed9041 they should use the armor overlay and look for those week spots for the vehicles and ammo they prefer to use like I do. But for basically all t series tanks they have the same week points. Drivers hatch is the big one. Right above the commanders hatch is a spot you can hit the commander with shrapnel from an apfsds or potentially take out commander gunner with heat if you don't have ap. Lower plate and left near the track is a good spot. If you can get a good angle you can det ammo for a hit shot kill. There is a spot above the gunners side you can pen with higher grade ammo like type 10 were you can hit the gunner but it's a bit more tricky and I tend to take that shot when they are hull down and I can't get the drivers hatch. I want to say just left of the breach is a solid shot to knock it out and keep it from firing back then you can go for the hatch or lower plate. That's just spit balling. There's others like if there angled but people should really use the overlay it helps so much to learn your opponents weak spots
In my honest opinion there should be a ground only mode and a combined arms mode. It is not fun to play a tank only to get bombed from orbit by a guided bomb by some dude thinking it’s skillful gameplay
@@aaronstrange8969 most sam platforms wont detect planes in orbit besides the pantsir, especially when they are directly above you, and after the missile rework, very few SAM launchers are somewhat viable to get their missile to target, manpads are now unironically better than most platforms, and would be a complete replacement if they could target helicopters past 2km. The main skill gap with CAS is learning the keybinds needed to operate the armament, because once you are in orbit and have the muscle memory for the systems you become mostly untouchable, most SAM launchers struggle a lot, let alone the countries that lack one with radar.
Fighting roland systems in one of the most agile fighters in the game.. Not really fair considering how disgustingly bad gaijin nerf'd the Sam systems in game recently
SPAA's have simply been nerfed to hell after the atgm rework. While the ground atgms work fine, AA missiles just suck because they use the same mechanic where its just More flight time= harder controls. I'm sure we've all been robbed of a plane kill simply because missiles have become extra annoying to control.

This thing is about to get Aim-120s. I can only imagine the hell that will bring. ARH missiles that are not a boat, only to return to yeeting your LGBs or MAVs. Also, there is a possibility of either the Blk 10 or this getting the Gpu-5/a. As both the A and the C were both tested, they even deployed to the desert storm with the pod in mind.

Hate when I wanna play ground RB and get killed by aircraft or heli, it sucks, they should add the option to Ground RB only, no aircrafts or anything that can fly and shoot.
Im with you on that idea but if they do that it would be even more unbalanced with the current maps. Just think about how many broken position there are on many maps and with out CAS there is no way the enemy can do a thing about it if you are a half decent player. CAS is needed with the current map design.

F 16 C in war thunder have really bad radar, Mig 29 can get me on radar from 35km+ but f16c cant, sometimes i have visual contact with Su or Mig but i cant ping them while i am starving to get them on radar to ping them in same time they already shoot misile and i am done...
US get 6 TV guided missiles and bombs. while Russia is mostly limited to 2 TV guided missiles and rest are Laser guided and not really good, just like Su-25`s
The problem with balancing, is they nerf the very things that made the unit powerful, without it, it is crap. If it is the best, let it be the best, make it hard to get or use, maybe make it very expensive to fix. And learn new ways of dealing with it. Some good SAMs ought to help.

I've been playing war thunder for quite some time. it is bloody apparent that they are trying to nerve America on this game and it seems like even harder ever since this war with Ukraine. The game obviously has Russian bias and it highlights Russian doctrine by giving them the best anti air systems in the largest armored tech tree in the game. we have a large tech tree but our aircraft are missing half of its technology at top tier. why does my Apache still have AGM-114K instead of the AGM-114 limas??? But other nations have spike missiles fire in forget which is exactly what the Lima is. No electronic warfare no harm missiles? no harpoons? No electronic jamming. say what you want in the comments section people but I'll tell you one thing this game has a Russian bias. I support Russia in their war against Ukraine but Russian vehicles are some of the weakest things I have ever seen in my life they are losing brand new T90M'S to a frag grenade.. There are turrets continue to fly out to outer space to rendezvous with the space station to say hi to the Russian cosmonauts

That title implies that CAS at top tier was ever fair. Honestly it's the most toxic, game ruining shit ever. All the scumbag jet players have their own mode why cant tankers.
It is only going to keep getting worse. And Gaijin just does nerfs to spaa and buffs to CAS options. Ka52 and other helis cant do what a supersonic super fast jet can do. They fly around spaa without spaa being able to hit them. They have standoff capability against SPAA, they are more cable to defend attacks from planes, they have powerful radars and in case of US CAS they have outright OP RWRs now which maje them even easier to fly and perform well.
ya but the f16 isnt immune to IR missiles like the KA and MI helicopters, it also cant kill 16 different targets with its missiles, or shoot through smoke, or hide behind buildings, or launch missiles with insane ECCM, or shred other aircraft without moving.
I had f-16 cas player on enemy team that had like 20 kills. It was hard trying to kill him with germanys 11.7 AA. Those VT-1 missiles doesnt like to turn right away and was close to battlefield.
the problem with CAS atm, is the lack of reliable SPAA to deal with them barring Pansir and Maybe the ADATS. For Germany, holy fuck I rather bring the ozelot, hide in a bush or something, and use its stingers to kill planes, cause if you use the flarakrad with those shitty ass vt-1's, roland guidance etc. It's just shit. The thing that made it viable for a top tier spaa is just shit now. So why bother using it when CAS can just simply out maneuver it with a simple maneuver because of how poor the missiles are now.

I can see how it would suck to play as a nation with shitty anti-air but even though Russia has the best anti-air I still rarely die to Russian CAS. The real cas problem is at low tiers, I love to fly out with F4Us with 2 1000 pound bombs and get two free kills.

being honest tank RB should have only tanks and an combined arms event should be a thing to allow people to play the CAS and Helicopters. Make it so players have endgame to play this cool stuff. Big af maps with plenty of room and huge player numbers. Make it like enduring confrontation. Let people spawn in without points to be CAS, CAP, or ground, etc. Perhaps dust off the world war mode and revamp it. These vehicles are severly OP mostly becuase everything in game in any mode is always in its engagement envelope. Warthunder needs to stop making tanks and start making the game part of it. The event section i feel is rarley touched anymore. Why not add genuine coop that allows people to bring CAS, Tanks, and Heli's so people can get their rocks off in that mode using their CAS rather than venting out in the mode made for grinding tanks?

F-16C offers the same thing as Su-25T, which is excellent zoom and ability to launch homing missiles from afar thus avoiding enemy AA.

There are turrets continue to fly out to outer space to rendezvous with the space station to say hi to the Russian cosmonauts

Current toptier is just cancer. Im just dying to f-16 and other Cas planes/Helis. Its just unfair to fight them with my shity Flakrak, because they are just to far away or to high to target them.

Ka52 and other helis cant do what a supersonic super fast jet can do. They fly around spaa without spaa being able to hit them. They have standoff capability against SPAA, they are more cable to defend attacks from planes, they have powerful radars and in case of US CAS they have outright OP RWRs now which maje them even easier to fly and perform well.
ya but the f16 isnt immune to IR missiles like the KA and MI helicopters, it also cant kill 16 different targets with its missiles, or shoot through smoke, or hide behind buildings, or launch missiles with insane ECCM, or shred other aircraft without moving.
The rwrs aren't op they provide more SA but it's not like they provide some crazy advantage.

I had f-16 cas player on enemy team that had like 20 kills. It was hard trying to kill him with germanys 11.7 AA. Those VT-1 missiles doesnt like to turn right away and was close to battlefield.
the problem with CAS atm, is the lack of reliable SPAA to deal with them barring Pansir and Maybe the ADATS. For Germany, holy fuck I rather bring the ozelot, hide in a bush or something, and use its stingers to kill planes, cause if you use the flarakrad with those shitty ass vt-1's, roland guidance etc. It's just shit. The thing that made it viable for a top tier spaa is just shit now. So why bother using it when CAS can just simply out maneuver it with a simple maneuver because of how poor the missiles are now.
I feel like the ozelot is more reliable for me for anti air in top tier than the flak bus or the flarak.

@@EPE77U As a US player the cas feels balanced, maybe a little leaning towards the favor of cas since the RWR changes but the pantsir is a formidable anti air. I can see how it would suck to play as a nation with shitty anti-air but even though Russia has the best anti-air I still rarely die to Russian CAS. The real cas problem is at low tiers, I love to fly out with F4Us with 2 1000 pound bombs and get two free kills.

being honest tank RB should have only tanks and an combined arms event should be a thing to allow people to play the CAS and Helicopters. Make it so players have endgame to play this cool stuff. Big af maps with plenty of room and huge player numbers. Make it like enduring confrontation. Let people spawn in without points to be CAS, CAP, or ground, etc. Perhaps dust off the world war mode and revamp it. These vehicles are severly OP mostly becuase everything in game in any mode is always in its engagement envelope. Warthunder needs to stop making tanks and start making the game part of it. The event section i feel is rarley touched anymore. Why not add genuine coop that allows people to bring CAS, Tanks, and Heli's so people can get their rocks off in that mode using their CAS rather than venting out in the mode made for grinding tanks?
