Just got my flip 4.. this is almost perfect in every way! For me, they addressed pretty much every issue from the flip 3. Performance is superb, battery is clear ahead of the 3, camera is better, crease isn't as prominent. And I agree the build quality feels more premium. As long as the durability holds up, then this is just the ultimate phone for me right now! Love it! Well done samsung 👏 💜
I just got my flip 4 too and I agree. I love it. I do not see how any normal user could run out of battery in the 18 hours from morning to night. If they do they have a serious addiction problem to the internet or social media. The camera is fine for me, I don't use it heavily and I'd rather give up what little quality difference not to have what looks like a bunch of barnacles growing out of what is otherwise a streamlined device like the iPhone.
I love the my Z Flip 4. It's pretty simple. They have half the physical real estate to put those flagship specs in. It's gonna take time for it to change.
Traded my S22ultra backup for the Flip4. Easily my favorite for the points you listed especially small size and convenience. My primary, Z Fold3 is now in a drawer chilling....
The battery life in my flip 4 is awesome I be getting around 8 hours on wifi and with my data on 5g I be getting a little over 7 hours with heavy usage and honestly that's perfect for me, it's way better that what I got on the flip 3
They bricked my last phone so I had to get a new one. I wanted the fold 4 but it was too expensive, so I got the Flip 4. I have absolutely no regrets right now. I love the compact size, the main cam selfie ability, and if you go to pro mode with the cam, you can make amazing shots. My main worry is the screen. No damage as of yet, but I don't want scratches or dead pixels. Wish they could have removed the interior cam or made it invisible. But it is fast, it's clear, it's compact, it takes great photos and has great potential, and keeps connection to service. Customize it to your liking. It's your phone.
Got the Z flip 4 the day it came out. I only have two big issues. No.1 there is no samsung dex support. I would really love to see this. Please samsung. No.2 the cooling. The cooling sucks in this phone. If you want to do any sort of high quality gaming you need to buy a cooler. One small problem is the camera. The camera is OK. Its passable for sure, but it could be better. That's pretty much all of the negatives aside. The screen is really great. You can't see the crease when the screen is on and you're looking at it straight on. The 1080p is fine and most people won't notice any pixels. I would definitely 100% recommend this phone.

I love my S22 Ultra, but if a future Samsung Z Flip would come out with the Improvements you suggested, I'd be ready to trade it in. The convenience factor is where I'm leaning. Go on over to etsy and prepare to have a heart attack! You can even get covers with keyrings, handles, straps, wristlets, etc, to make it portable in new ways!
Samsung can implement your suggestions and call it the Zflip 5 PRO for the flagship features while keeping the basic features for the Zflip 5. I agree with you. I'm using the zflip4 more than my s22 Ultra. But I would like a pro camera on the zflip4.
Nervous about making the jump but finally did it tonight by ordering the Flip4 and trading in my Note 20 Ultra. Just want something different and more fun. Always been a Samsung Note user from the very first one. Love them and how reliable they have been for me. Just want a phone that you can check notifications (using the front screen) and not load it up, go on TH-cam instead and waste 30 minutes when you originally wanted to just check a message! I think this phone will make me use it less (in a good way) also, free Samsung probuds for free as well. Can't go wrong! Love the channel! Keep up the great content!

man I loved my flip 3 but sold it because the screen protector was coming up and it started crackling when it closed. if they made a flip pro with s pen hands down it would dominate. with the same width as the s22 ultra.
That's asking for too much lol, even with the Fold 4 you're having a case to hold the s-pen. Give it 1-2 more upgrades and they'll probably embed it like the S22U. I also disagree with the same width as the S22U. Both the S21U and S22U I can one hand just fine but they're getting wider and wider and heavier. The S21U was top heavy, the S22U kinda balanced it out. Testing out the Flip 3 for a week and now the Flip 4 as a daily I like the thinner width as now I can "easily" one hand hold/type/reply etc... Caseless is nice but having a case does make it bulky again, I think that's where Samsung Care Plus comes in handy lol. I mean that's just my personal opinion, I don't really see the Flip needing an s-pen yet alone having to hold one around.

I agree 2 iterations from even talking about this but it would be a hard choice not to buy. I would make it shorter and extend the width I feel the flip is longer then what it needs to be. And put the pen in side ways instead of the bottom would be a nice touch . We just playing fantasy phone league at this point lol. It would prob cost as much as the z fold if up to Samsung lol

Every year people review phones for their camera not the actual phone...you're buying a phone not a DLSR camera. Its like if the phone is great and feature rich, it will get shit on cause of not so great camera performance.
I really like mine, but I hate how skinny and tall the screen is. After over 10 years of normal phones, it just feels unbelievably awkward & extremely uncomfortable to hold, to the point that I might return it. I can tell that it's something I won't be able to get used to. If they can make a flip that maintains the aspect ratio of a normal phone, then I'll have no complaints.
I highly suggest looking into popsockets and popwallets. I've been using them on huge phones for years and they're a game changer, they're useful in so many different ways. I struggle to hold a phone without one now 😅

I did... Sold my iPhone 12 pro for this... And seriously no regrets... It's a beautiful phone... Cameras are on par with 12 pro, 13 pro might be slightly better in certain scenarios but majority photos taken in good light n low light are very good... In fact this has a much better camera in low light than the 12 pro... Thanks to the larger sensor...

I am really close trading my phone in for a Flip4. Been intrigued for soo long!! The only thing that is holding me back is the cameras.. I do take a lot of photos and almost every other Samsung has a better setup.. What yall think?
Now, I don't know the total cost of the Z Flip 4 compared to the Z Fold 4, but all things electronic equal and fair, why would any be interested in short changing themselves... In a town not too far away from me at a discounted Best Buy the Z Fold 4 is going for under $700 with S22 Ultra trade in, probably the same cost of a full price Z Flip 4.
The z fold is $1,799 and the z flip is $999. But the s22 ultra is a more powerful and better phone overall so you’d be trading in a phone that is better for a phone that can fold.
This is why I’m so torn between getting this vs S22 Ultra - the massive difference in SPECS. I’ve been an iPhone 11 Pro Max user for the past few years, and I was SOOO attracted to this phone when I first saw it. But then I saw all the specs and compared it to the S22 Ultra, and I’m like huh? It’s a shame because this phone is so beautiful, has some of the most AESTHETICALLY PLEASING cases out there... ugh. But I got used to good camera from my iPhone 11 Pro Max... how can I downgrade from that triple camera to a dual one with minimum MP? I feel like I will keep dreaming about the S22 lens lmao 😂
The only camera you will be missing is the tele photo . However , neither of the Samsung will catch up to iPhone camera. But yes tho stay similar to i13pm , 22 ultra is where you need to be .

Coming from iPhone 12 pro, I did like the consistency of apple like the pictures were consistently very good, but I like the versatility of this phone... We have 2 iphone 13s at home, I like this better... But then I do miss the reliability of iphone, but then I love this cover display that I use a lot... So there are pros and cons... I will keep it a year till next flip comes and then give it in trade-in.. 😁
@@stephenbriggs51 yes with iphone one of my big big big complaint, issue was the throttling and display dimming... It would suddenly get very hot outdoors and the brightness would drop drastically... And this would happen very often, even when using multiple applications the phone would heat and throttle... Haven't had any such issues with this yet.. Also the hdr on iphone was horrible, this is much better... There's very little lens flare and the pictures taken even against harsh sunlight come out very good compared to iphone... Now picking one is difficult... But overall I like this better...
not everyone needs or wants a fold able phone, the s22 ultra is amazing, I'm good with a full screen phone that doesn't fold or have some sort of crease.
I'm in the same boat. I have the S22 Ultra. I love the camera and the SPen but the phone is SO big and heavy carrying it every day. So I'm thinking of just buying the Z Flip 4 outright unlocked and just switching back and forth between the 2 so I can still hold on to my S22 Ultra.
Man I used the Z flip 4 for a little while but I can't do it man I'm sending it back tomorrow I can't give up them Galaxy s22 Ultra Cameras I love to take a lot of photos and the cameras on the s22 ultra are epic

For me it's been the opposite I have the flip 3 and I get good battery life it lasts me about all day into the evening

The problem with the polarized sunglasses is not caused by the display. It is caused by the plastic screen protector.

I got mine a few days ago, and I hardly ever notice that indent on the screen where the phone folds. Its not a dealbreaker. Im loving everything so far

I went with the fold 4
the HD screen is fine with the 120hz screen and being an amoled screen, plus it uses less battery life then the better screens .

I did... Sold my iPhone 12 pro for this... And seriously no regrets... It's a beautiful phone... Cameras are on par with 12 pro, 13 pro might be slightly better in certain scenarios but majority photos taken in good light n low light are very good... In fact this has a much better camera in low light than the 12 pro... Thanks to the larger sensor...

Love the phone! But the cover display should operate just the same as the galaxy watch. There is no excuse why it shouldn't be able to do everything the watch can... especially Gboard

Now, I don't know the total cost of the Z Flip 4 compared to the Z Fold 4, but all things electronic equal and fair, why would any be interested in short changing themselves...
In a town not too far away from me at a discounted Best Buy the Z Fold 4 is going for under $700 with S22 Ultra trade in, probably the same cost of a full price Z Flip 4.
The z fold is $1,799 and the z flip is $999. But the s22 ultra is a more powerful and better phone overall so you’d be trading in a phone that is better for a phone that can fold.

This is why I’m so torn between getting this vs S22 Ultra - the massive difference in SPECS.
I’ve been an iPhone 11 Pro Max user for the past few years, and I was SOOO attracted to this phone when I first saw it. But then I saw all the specs and compared it to the S22 Ultra, and I’m like huh? It’s a shame because this phone is so beautiful, has some of the most AESTHETICALLY PLEASING cases out there... ugh. But I got used to good camera from my iPhone 11 Pro Max... how can I downgrade from that triple camera to a dual one with minimum MP? I feel like I will keep dreaming about the S22 lens lmao 😂
The only camera you will be missing is the tele photo . However , neither of the Samsung will catch up to iPhone camera. But yes tho stay similar to i13pm , 22 ultra is where you need to be .

You want the full specs you need a beefy size phone but if you want a compact well specced phone the flip is perfect.

all samsungs will say learning battery pattern or usage after its fully charged at 100% and you unplug it lol I'm using a s10 plus and it still says learning battery usage pattern

Yeah , I feel like a wave of flip phones coming because thr candy bar shaped has gotten boring . Also, it's so much better to put in your pocket or hold. The next flip needs to have a better camera for $1k though
Love my flip4.... It's so beautifully made, you can see the effort samsung has put in to making this so perfect... The cameras are my only gripe... And I'd like to put a screen protector on this, but I don't know if we can put a protector above the one that's already on it...
I believe you can put a screen protector over the screen protector,some have said they have done it. I'm on the fence with this phone, how's it working out for you?
@@stephenbriggs51 Well as of now I don't have any issues with this phone... I like the attention it gets whenever I take it out in public coz here in India no one you know has this phone... Coming from iPhone 12 pro, I did like the consistency of apple like the pictures were consistently very good, but I like the versatility of this phone... We have 2 iphone 13s at home, I like this better... But then I do miss the reliability of iphone, but then I love this cover display that I use a lot...
So there are pros and cons... I will keep it a year till next flip comes and then give it in trade-in.. 😁
@@stephenbriggs51 yes with iphone one of my big big big complaint, issue was the throttling and display dimming... It would suddenly get very hot outdoors and the brightness would drop drastically... And this would happen very often, even when using multiple applications the phone would heat and throttle... Haven't had any such issues with this yet.. Also the hdr on iphone was horrible, this is much better... There's very little lens flare and the pictures taken even against harsh sunlight come out very good compared to iphone... Now picking one is difficult... But overall I like this better...
8 GB is more than enough. I have 6 on my phone and that most times I mostly only use 4 gigs of the 6 gigs.

I'm in the same boat. I have the S22 Ultra. I love the camera and the SPen but the phone is SO big and heavy carrying it every day. So I'm thinking of just buying the Z Flip 4 outright unlocked and just switching back and forth between the 2 so I can still hold on to my S22 Ultra.
