After 6.5 months on keto, I have lost 60 lbs. Still a lot to go, but I find I can make anything keto if I want to. I also have no cravings which helps to stay on track. ❤
You both look and feel so good so I for one love these kind of videos from you. I see some comments express the opposite and seem downright nasty. Please don't let them get to you. I think I'm not alone when I say we watch you not just for learning homesteading skills but for ALL you want to share with us. You are both great teachers. That's why you have so many followers!
@@stevensaxon8888I would use natural sweeteners, honey, syrup or stevia leaves( you could make your own stevia drops like they show they make in a video.
I've been doing keto for 6 years. I feel great and have greatly improved my health. I'm wondering if you could share how your garden has changed with your new eating habits? Also, what are you favorite things to can now that you are keto? Thanks for sharing your story!
Ive been keto for awhile now and lost 25lbs. Now I'm more of a ketovore 😊 hopefully more people will get on board with eating this way and get rid of the doctors and percriptions, because prescription are alot of our health problems due to the side effects.
Eating well is of course a great step in taking care of yourself - but let's not be misguided.. doctor's and medicine are super important and will save your life.. keto isn't going to save your life from an infection nor cure a broken bone!
@pesto12601 True, doctors are good for that, but they have been led by pharmaceuticals. They write one percription, then another for side affects, then another, etc.. they don't fix the problem. They cover it. We have to remember that doctors "practice" medicine.
@@kinflorida579I think you are seeing the wrong doctors, not securing your own healthy by being an informed patient or are just watching too much fox and friends.. I have doctors who work WITH me to help - offering suggestions on how to "fix" a problem and offering holistic alternatives when I reject certain Rx protocols. At the end of the day - it is YOUR body... YOU control what is done to it (well.. outside of Tx/kentucky that is!).
What is ketovore? Is there a good channel to learn? I feel like the carb counting I have no time for. Do I need to count calories? I'm wanting to change something but need to research.
Glad to hear your success story! I have been following an OMAD Mediterranean leaning lifestyle consisting mainly of low carb / high fiber / multicolored vegetables of all types, moderate protein, and high fat (mainly EVOO, AVOCADO, and a L. Rueteri semi-crumbly cream cheese that I ferment using organic half and half). I ferment many of the non-leafy veggies (carrots, beets, green / red cabbage, fennel, onions, sunchokes, tomatoes, dicon radish, jicama , and whatever else I find that interests me). I consume a large amount of vinegar (I ferment a few pure juices - apple, pomegranate, grape - just about anything that doesn’t have additives/preservatives). I also usually have a few dozen pickled eggs, jars of various meats that I pressure can, cans of anchovies, sardines, and herring that I keep on hand when my wife and I don’t want to cook a protein. I also do a 3 day fast every 6 to 8 weeks. I’ve gone 4 days on 2 occasions only to see how I would feel. I understand the why as to the lack of hunger, but I still find it mystifying. I have been following this lifestyle for nearly 2 years and have shocked my doctors. I’ve lost 90 pounds and have gotten off my diabetes, cholesterol, and high blood pressure meds. I have astonished myself because I haven’t felt this young in decades. I undertook this radical change as a result of requiring a major surgery to remove a 5th of my liver due to cancer. I wanted to try to stack the deck in my favor and avoid going through that again. Unfortunately, about 18 months ago, an MRI showed the tumor had returned and I had a repeat procedure a few months later. Here’s where the story takes an unexpected twist. I had the surgery and the pathology report indicated that no cancer was detected. Now, I’m not saying my lifestyle change had anything to do with that, but I know I caught the attention of my GP, Oncologist, and surgeon. I no longer have the customary 10 minute follow up visits. I have actually been paraded in front of their colleagues to discuss what I am doing. 😊😊😊. Those 2 surgeries aside, I will never go back to my old ways and I intend to strive to avoid a three-peat. Oh, by the way, I’ve also captured the attention of friends and family (my wife included). They all thought I was crazy, but now our gatherings, more likely than not, drift towards education sessions where they pick my brain trying to understand how I maintain such discipline. They refuse to believe how easy it is once you kick the addiction to carbs. My GP didn’t think I would be successful, but at my last visit he commented that if I manage to maintain this endeavor that I should write a book. I chuckled at him and said that there were already hundreds of books out there - we just have to get people to read them! 😊😊😊

You both are so fortunate that BOTH of you are on board with this lifestyle. It’s totally discouraging when you want to purge the temptation from before your eyes but your husband is NOT with you in this.🙄
Mine resisted ("I don't need to lose weight")...but after some health issues, gave in to the idea of cutting way back on his sugar consumption. He did shed a lot of weight way faster than I did, which was a bit discouraging, but he had his six pack back and his face looked way better and his health improved, so now he is occasionally trying the intermittent fasting. We no longer have bread , rice or pasta in the house, he eats the dinner I make and uses chaffles for sandwich bread. The fasting part helped me because I could eat on my schedule and they had to fend for themselves. I just explained calmly that I needed to prioritize my health, this is just the way I eat now.
I don’t comment often, but I didn’t want the opportunity to pass without saying how helpful I’m finding these videos. My husband and I are both looking to make the change to keto in January. We are using December as a practice month, meaning we are learning what we can about keto and introducing ourselves to exploring how to cook keto at home. We loved your Kizza❤😋
I've been keto for 6 months. I do have breakfast, mainly eggs and stir fried green vegetables, a bigger lunch, but my dinners are often very small. I've lost 50lbs and have no desire to go off diet.
Love these keto meals. Thank you for taking time to make these videos. We’ve been following the keto diet for just a short while, and right away we noticed the increase in energy and not being hungry. Protein is great, fats are good, and carbs are tricky little things.
What I love most is the simplicity of the crockpot meals. I have a small homestead/ hobby farm and between taking care of the gardens and the animals, as well as the time processing all my harvest, I'm looking for easy meals. I wrote down a few of your tips and I'm going to incorporate more crock pot/ instant pot meals. Thanks so much.🥰
I’ve been eating keto off and on for decades and it’s so fun to see what other people eat. I do love how simple you keep things. I think I will incorporate this! Thank you! I would love to see these types of what I ate this week videos again.
Thanks again guys. I was very motivated when I first started going KETO/OMAD almost 8 years ago. Started OMAD 22/2 from the very beginning (not easy) and that has been my habit, 5 days a week ever since. Not looking back. Success and health to everyone!

Spiking and crashing is the key thing to get rid of. You are excellent role models. I’m not overweight, but I crave ANYTHING at ALL times. Thankfully I’m mostly able to resist, but it would be great to not have the minor struggle. It’s the carbs.
Love it! So true - I broke out and ate sweets over the Thanksgiving weekend, gained 10 pounds! And felt terrible. It was hard to get back to keto and intermittent fasting but I have already lost the 10 lbs and starting to feel better again. I’m not sure I want to cheat again at Christmas.
Excellent! We went vegetarian a couple of years ago for 6 months, then followed that up with 2 months keto ... then I totally fell off into junk. This past year we successfully did keto for 4 months until the holidays, and I fell off. We do feel MUCH better, healthier, physically, emotionally and mentally on Keto. We are now striking a balanced lifestyle between "regular", vegetarian and keto.
What worked for us, we would eat dinner, then not eat again until the next evening. We would have a massive cheat meal, usually a huge burger with fries and onion rings, lol😅. Then go right back to Keto. Within a few days, we would both drop weight. I know this isn't for everyone but I felt like our metabolism needed a reset.
Thank you for showing your actual meal plans. The specific examples you showed prove it IS Possible to eat strict Keto without depriving yourself of good, tasty and satisfying food.
So glad to see that you guys have found a real food, ketogenic way of eating. My formerly type 2 diabetic husband has had an Hba1c in the normal range for 6+ years now. It's an easier way of eating than others would have you believe. Dr Westman is one of my favorite low carb doctors, he always keeps things simple.
I've been doing IF/Lowcarb/Keto for 5 months and lost 37 lbs, trying to be good as I can this month. Feeling good and blood sugar is going down !! Love your channel !!!
I did 12 months of carnivore with intermittent fasting (no breakfast) and lost 60 lbs. Once a month 48 hour fasting was super helpful. I’ve maintained my weight with ketovore for the past 12 months but I am considering carnivore again to get off the last 20 lbs. I still feel so much healthier and happier when I’m eating better (no sugar, seed oils or grains).
Im 66 & have been on keto/ketovore for 3 months. I only eat from 11 to 4.. (some days i only eat at 4) your right I'm never hungry the rest of the time.. I've lost weight & feel better..
I'm older and I've gradually found organic things like raw milk, grow most of my veges, eat more meat etc. I'm finding I don't get hungry between meals on organic food. I feel much better in the gut and don't get tired during the day. Thanks for the recipes💐🌻
I absolutely love this! I am day 7 of Ketovore (which is like animal based keto) Please make more videos about this!! Its such an inspiration and I have followed yall since the beginning. LOVE everything yall do!!!
Love this content, you two! I did keto for 9 months before gradually shifting down to fewer than 20 carbs/day and finally to carnivore. Have felt better & better! I would assume you bring your own keto contribution to pot luck at church and therefore always have something that’s consistent with your way of eating. ❤
We were on keto a few years ago before C-19. For whatever reason, we went back to poor eating and have put weight on. As of January 1, 2024, hubby and I are back on keto. When we were on it before, we lost 60 pounds each. The only thing I can’t use but my husband can is Stevia. I’m very allergic to Stevia, which is part of the ragweed family. I only use Monk fruit or erythritol. We are also doing the Three Rivers Pantry Challenge so I won’t be going to the grocery store for quite awhile. 😁👍🏻 Thank you for sharing ❤
This is perfect timing! I started intermittent fasting over a year ago an I'm down 50# so far. We decided on keto more recently and we have been struggling to think of meals that are fast and good that match our lifestyle. Thank you
We've been doing keto for a year now. We don't miss anything, after awhile sugar becomes too sweet to eat. We did the same thing at Thanksgiving, but went right back the next day. Also we have stopped buying foods that have sugar, or white flour. We both feel so much better and the Dr likes it too. Have a great day. Be safe, much love.
You both look amazing. My husband and I have started Keto, too. The best sweetener we have found is Allulose. It tastes good, with no aftertaste. My husband is diabetic and it has little to no impact on his blood sugar as with the other sweeteners. I enjoy seeing what other people eat with this lifestyle. Thank you for sharing all your knowledge with us. We're in northern part of Missouri.. God bless you, and have a Merry Christmas..
I’ve been doing Keto since 7/21st due to high blood sugar. I’ve lost 18 lbs and went from diabetic numbers to pre diabetic. I do order Keto sweets once a week from a local small business.
Wow!!! I didn't realize I basically eat the same as you!!! I eat lunch and dinner every day!!! Only 40 carbs at dinner!!! I lost 20 lbs and feel Great!!! God Bless Us All!!!
I’m sure you never thought God would use your lives of growing healthy foods to change sooooo many lives w/a Keto food plan. So many people NEED healing & weight loss from consuming non-God made foods, worldly foods that falsely advertise & deceive people of its heathy value. So much physical healing happens during sleep and during fasting, which is very important for those who are in recovery from consuming man made & over processed foods. Those foods have high added salts, sugars & sweeteners - often even camouflaged in the labeling. It’s fantastic you shared some of ur Keto meals, healthy products and portion sizes. BRAVO you guys!! Praying God richly blesses you both ❤
Been on low carbs diet. Started with keto and mainly stick with that but I love smoothies. But no cravings. I was a noodle addict. Now I don’t crave them. I have lost 30 pounds. I have a lot of arthritis and mobility issues not very high. I really enjoy your cooking keto videos. Keep them coming.
Keto does so many good things for you. I can’t intermittent fast because my blood sugar dips too low. I rely on keto and have for 3 years and I make most things from scratch too. I too rely in what I grow but my garden laid fallow last year-but I prepared for that and grew twice as much. I get meat and fat from my rancher friends and my eggs from another friend. This way I can stay out of the store. I think you guys look great!!
Glad your having success. I intermittent fast and just eat more sensibly I have lost 135lbs Hit a plateau and getting more excercise & just moving more. Broke my hip and had 5 surgeries in 12 months. Just keep moving.
After watching Brooke’s video about her new autoimmune symptoms, and recommending a keto way of eating to alleviate those symptoms, I decided two days ago to take my own advice. I’m following ya’lls advice about skipping breakfast, too. I’ve practiced Keto off and on for decades, and have really noticed its positive effects…getting rid of joint pain, and clearer thinking. THIS time, I’m hoping to take note of any mental health benefits. I hope that generally just feeling physically better will have a good mental health effect. It’s not easy getting older, and it can leave you down in the dumps.
Good for you guys! Protein is time-released energy so you stay satisfied. We eased into low carb by quitting just sugar the first week, then cutting other processed carbs. We don’t limit our carbs from veg very much, depending on how fast we are trying to lose weight. There is plenty of current research supporting keeping insulin down.
I've been 18 months on a mainly carnivore diet eating only one meal a day. I feel better than I have for twenty years. Weight loss was never my goal but the health bnefits are the real reason to consider this life style.
@@angelaraum1545 I had that sort of concern about keto for years after seeing several people I know become keto and had held back until now. The video discussions of Anthony Chaffee MD (that is the channel title) have completely dissolved those worries for me. He thoroughly covered all the nutrition and other questions and provides proof to back up what he is presenting. Keto and carnivore it turns out provide the highest amounts of nutrients a person can get!
My daughter and I were on keto for about 3 years then on Christmas 2 years ago we backsled into our old way of eating. We felt so much better while we were on keto. But especially the last several months our arthritis has been about to get the best of us. We will be getting back on keto starting after Christmas
I don’t have a homestead so everything came from the store. When I was on keto, I found I was not hungry in between meals, only ate 2 meals a day, and no snacks, so my grocery bill was really appreciably less. Also, I concentrated on increasing my water intake which also helped minimize hunger.
Keto for 4 months also IF. 70 yrs old lost 40 lbs and blood chemistry very good. Curious about what veggies you will be planting in the Spring after your food adjustment.
Great video. I love getting ideas on what to eat. I have fallen off the wagon and really need to get back to it. I will eat more ketovore which helps my blood sugar better. I really enjoyed the video.
I started the keto/carnivore diet about 3 weeks ago and the “keto flu” is a real thing, i went through a week with migraines, which i never have or even headaches, but my body was going through the adjustment getting rid of carbs and sugar, kind of like an addict quitting something, but now I feel so good and have so much more energy and feel like i am loosing weight, I also walk 1.5 miles a day. Cant wait to have my next Dr visit and see my new bloodwork results, love your videos, they are helping me so much!
Awesome video. I’ve been watching you both for a couple of years now, as we were starting our farm life. (I learned to bake bread from Kevin) We kinda stopped watching when we started our keto lifestyle. We were pleasantly surprised (thrilled actually)that you are keto. We are back watching you guys and love knowing you are on this journey, using your farm fresh food. Keep up the grand work, and I’ll be looking forward to your cookbook!! 😉😉🥰👍
Thank you for sharing! I love videos like this. It really helps inspire my cooking and help remind me of why eating like this is so good. I would love to eat like this more.
Thank you so much y’all make it sound so simple unlike most of the channels out there that want you to go buy $2or$3 hundred dollars worth of stuff just to eat for a week. Which I can’t afford. I have wanted to try keto for a long time but have put it off because I didn’t think I could afford it and I don’t have time for making all that stuff that they make! So thank you again for making so simple and so easy!
Your fasting is for 17 hrs, wow strong discipline I command you. Best thing it, works for you, congratulations on your improved health and weight loss.
My husband does carnivore. He ate pumpkin pie the day after Thanksgiving and he paid for it in the bathroom. Our family eats Sunday supper together. Three of us take turns cooking. My son, grandson and husband allow themselves to cheat if nothing else is available like you folks. It works for them.
I just started keto/low carb/intermittentant fasting a few weeks ago. I am so glad you are posting these meal ideas, I need ideas to keep going. So far doing great.

I still feel so much healthier and happier when I’m eating better (no sugar, seed oils or grains).
I've been carnivore since Aug. & love it. Congratulations on your weight loss.
I think I want to start this. Is there a good channel to learn how? How much meat to buy? Esp for a single parent that is struggling with$.

Watch the video: Carnivore diet basics by Dr. Ken Berry.
Im 66 & have been on keto/ketovore for 3 months. I only eat from 11 to 4.. (some days i only eat at 4) your right I'm never hungry the rest of the time.. I've lost weight & feel better..
Blessings, looking great
Thank you! This really did help because you showed us it is very doable, and delicious. No specialty foods needed.
Also try “Sparkling Ice zero sugar” with two tablespoons heavy cream over crushed ice. It’s so good.
Everything looked so delicious 😊 Especially Monday supper!
I really appreciate this video, thank you!
Love this content, you two! I did keto for 9 months before gradually shifting down to fewer than 20 carbs/day and finally to carnivore. Have felt better & better! I would assume you bring your own keto contribution to pot luck at church and therefore always have something that’s consistent with your way of eating. ❤
Keep it up guys! We are right there with you!
Thank you for sharing ❤
I do feel inspired and enjoy the keto content.
I like to see y’all still have “a treat” keto is my favorite way to eat. Just need to get my husband on board.
Great, informative video! You guys are such wonderful teachers!
Love your “true story” tee shirt!
Thank you from a new beginner!
good for you! you both look great
Thank you for sharing your meals. I love how you are eating from your land!
Diced radishes are also great in soup. Love chaffles too. Love your nativity shirt.
Thank you.
Please show us your yogurt and cheese making. Well done! 💐💙🙏🇺🇲
So glad you’re doing this..would love to see more of it..husband and I are going to try keto at the first of the year..this is very helpful…
Thanks for sharing🎉
It all looks wonderful. Thanks for sharing.
Glad your having success. I intermittent fast and just eat more sensibly
I have lost 135lbs Hit a plateau and getting more excercise & just moving more.
Older is great! Just don't get old!!
Your canned green beans look amazing
Please think about doing more Keto meal videos, Love it !!!
Will do!!
How do you know yr eating enough that yr not malnourished? I'm very interested in this to get off meds.
Thank you Kevin & Sarah. God Bless. Prayers. Maranatha ! ( shared to f/b )
My daughter and I were on keto for about 3 years then on Christmas 2 years ago we backsled into our old way of eating. We felt so much better while we were on keto. But especially the last several months our arthritis has been about to get the best of us. We will be getting back on keto starting after Christmas
Thank you so much for this video. This is the content I have been wanting!
I don’t have a homestead so everything came from the store. When I was on keto, I found I was not hungry in between meals, only ate 2 meals a day, and no snacks, so my grocery bill was really appreciably less. Also, I concentrated on increasing my water intake which also helped minimize hunger.
I do love the results you have attained from keto and continue to having great health along your journey.
Looking wonderful and healthy! Thanks for sharing!
This video encourages me to go back on Keto. Thank you for sharing your food lifestyle.
Well done!!
On your next Q & A video, how about explaining which crops you stopped growing when yo went Keto and what crops you started growing.
Also, how does this affect your fruit trees>
