Thanks, this helps me out a lot. Seems a bit strange to me that there is no factory reset option, but every camera has its quirks. I'll be working my way through the rest of your series.
Regarding the internal memory, that gives a great opportunity to “shoot like film“ - leave your SD card at home, set the camera to raw, and as you said, that will give you around 40 charts, which is “as near as dammit“ a roll of film, and then I also recommend you turn the screen completely off (also saves battery) then when the internal memory is full, do you have the “excitement“ (just like film) of seeing what you’ve captured. Because you’ve only got 40 pictures to take when you go out on the shoot, it instils the exact same discipline that film does…..used to - I don’t know why all camera manufacturers don’t include internal memory ……it’s a brilliant feature…… and just one more reason to buy the GR :-)
Perfect tutorial! Many, many thanks. I have done some stupid changes already and want to do a reset. One question: does the reset also harm the firmware?
After inserting some recipes in boxes, I discovered that the camera goes black or switches off when I press shutter to take a photo. Also, the lens remains extended. Would a reset resolve this? Thanks for your great videos.
Wow, I never heard of that one before. I don’t think the problem is recipes. It sounds like a serious bug. Resetting may help..? There is a new firmware coming out soon as well.
Ok, so there is no factory reset on this camera, but what about resetting the pictures count that shown on the welcome screen? I can't find the option for that.
Great step by step tutorial. I walked through it with no hiccups!
Very thorough and easy to understand. Thank you for the lessons.

Would be easy to start looking at the pictures and delete some of them to create more space :)

Thank you, and no it will not change the firmware

@@photostuff Thanks. I've reset and it seems to work!!

Also after a factory reset you would think U1-3 would correspond to Box1-3.

Do you mean, when the camera shuts down, the shutter count that is displayed?
@@photostuff Yes
@@samstoyroom i don’t think you can change that. That would be dishonest, like changing the mileage on a car.
what about factory resetting the camera?
There is no absolute factory reset. Or at least, not as far as I am aware.
My ok button not working griii
Can you help
Sorry friend, I would have to examine it physically.
Good luck with it though. I hope you find a good solution.
