Great experience, generally I only shot jpgs and never be disappointed with results with Ricoh as well as Fuji. It saves a lot of time and gives a lot of authentic fun.
@@Termidryna agreed. The recipes find a way to get me out shooting. I think seeing the tones exactly how you like irl make it special. Thanks for watching 🙏🏽🙏🏽
Being able to make digital camera photos look like film is so crucial these days for a film photos lover! Keep going my guy, we appreciate you! Love from Singapore.
Thank you Taha for sending me the email with the complete settings, without asking for anything in return, you were kind and special, I wish you all the best.
Greetings from Yorkshire. Thanks for posting this Taha. I found it very helpful and clear. I'm constantly changing the settings on my Ricoh Gr3. I usually use the Positive film setting. I can see how some of the settings make a discernible difference such as saturation and hue but I don't always see what difference other settings like sharpness or clarity make. I will experiment and use your soul searching recipe and see how I get on.
Paul! Thanks for taking the time to watch and for the kind words, I appreciate it. Yes, I agree. The Positive film setting seems to be the base effect for a lot of us GRiiix and GRiii users because or the sat and hue settings you mentioned. And when you combine those settings with a jpeg output, you get moody, sat filled images with lots of contrast. A jpeg just doesn't retain enough info BUT that's part of what I LOVE! To your other point, clarity and sharpness are more prevalent at say -3 to -4 (IMO) along with an effect like Negative Film as the base. Either way, effects force me to get out and shoot and get curious. That's my goal. If you ever want some extended recipes just hit me up. Happy to share. How's the GR3 been treating you? Cheers. t.
Fabulous Thankyou for sharing, I like the look of faded dreams. Only had my camera for a few days. Still getting and finding ways to set it up. A bit daunting compared to my Fujis.
I appreciate the kind words. Faded Dreams has been a lot of fun because it challenges what I know to be nostagic. Do you own the GRiii or 3x? Either way, pls share your results with us.
Great video. I generally just use the presets that come with the camera. I’m lazy. Changing all the necessary settings seems awfully long winded. I think having owned the Sigma fp with its ability to change settings using QR codes has spoiled me. I’m hoping Ricoh could implement this feature in the future. Imagine having unlimited profiles stored on your phone just ready to go
Great question that I get often. I love the GRIIIX, i was ready for that change in focal length. So, my question to you is, have you shot with a 28mm or 35mm for your photography? If so and you like those focal lengths, then I would go with the GR III (28mm). Now, if you shoot with and like 40mm/50mm then the GRIIIx will be amazing. All other settings are these cams are the same. Does that help?
But what’s the settings for ??? HIGHLIGHT CORRECTION SHADOW CORRECTION PERIPHERAL ILLUMIN. CORR. NOISE REDUCTION WHITE BALANCE WB COMPENSATION A/B WB COMPENSATION G/M Every Ricoh recipe on the app also include these settings😅 can you update us?
