Good video. Was pleasantly surprised that it worked on all those IR devices with the Broadlink device placed under the TV. I would have thought there needs to be a clear line of sight between the Broadlink and the target devices? Any tricks on getting a good positioning? Also, what range does the broadlink give you? (max distance between broadlink and target IR device)
yes a clear line of sight will be best, but some furniture and decoration in the room does reflect the IR signal to those not in line. I will suggest get a USB IR repeater which does help to get to those hard to reach corner. As for max distance with direct line of sight, which will be from the broadlink device to my aircon unit across the room about meters apart.
great video, question: Easy to add IP devices (like a Samsung TV) and will it turn them off and on? Also refer for USB IR cable?

What about making activities? For example one button that switches on the tv, soundbar and tv box at the right sources/inputs? Is that possible?
yes its possible, make that under "Scenes", with timer delay for each key press.
for example.
on tv,
delay 0.5 sec,
on soundbar,
delay 0.5 sec,
on tv box,
delay 30 sec (wait for tv and rest of equipment to full boot),
press source key on tv.
end
What about AC in the rooms? Is the device able to turn on/link from that distance?
as most AC are control by IR, which means you require a direct line of sight. meaning you will require a hub in each room to control the AC.
hi is the kdk ceiling fan remote also ir? my remote looks the same as urs but it does not have the bulb at the top
my kdk is the dc motor type, what your kdk fan model? you can try if u point and press away or inside other room. if the remote works in other room means, its not IR.

Help my rm pro is stuck offline I can’t get it to wake up ? I have tried to reset it by still stuck online ? Any help much appreciated
have your try pressing the reset button at the rear with a pin? if it still does not reset, i suggest you contact the seller for warranty.

the mobile app is available on both ISO and Android, search for "Boardlink" in the app store. you can register using google acct or your FB acct.
Does your phone need an IR blaster?
No, the phone does not need IR blaster, all IR signal are coming from the Broadlink Box. The phone is just an interface to program the Broadlink Box.
