What a lovely video. You don't have to apologize for everything. You are doing great. The sound was fine for me. Your makes are so pretty and you are 🌹lovely.
I enjoyed your video very much. I don’t sew anymore but you’ve done a lovely job on the dress you showed and the blouse you’re wearing - both look store bought (which is meant as a compliment.). Your cat is so adorable. A lot of cats ignore us humans so it was lovely to see him want so much attention. PS. Sound quality was fine 👍
Another great video.I love the amount of thought and preparation you put into the your presentation and your balance of positive and negative aspects of the patterns and fabric you use.
Thank you for letting us know about the Amy dress looks great and a new pattern company to me. Love your Marnie, I sometimes think it's too busy but yours is great ❤😊
Glue pens are used a lot in quilting :-), thanks for sharing your experience with the Knitting & Stitching show, one day I'll make it and go explore it in person
Hi! I'm back for your 2nd video and still think you have a lovely, calm way of presenting.I think this appeals to a lot of viewers. How you stuck to your fabric ban is beyond me! Lol. I live in upstate New York (7 hours north of New York City) and we never have anything like the Knitting and Stitching show. You are so lucky! One suggestion for a very delicate fabric is to interline it with another lightweight but more stable fabric and then treat both layers as one. I do that often with bodices. Next time you go to a sewing show, bring us along! I'd love to see a video of what the vendor areas are like and what is offered. Thanks for sharing!
Hi, thanks so much for coming back and for your kind words. Thanks for the fabric tip. I think next time I'll get the starch out and give it a good spray. I took a short video but felt a bit awkward filming, a few people looked uncomfortable at being in the shot. I'm fine filming in my sewing room but not so much in public 😄
Lovely video. Congratulations on starting your channel, you are a natural! I am in USA and happy to follow you as a new sewing friend. I also made a Lyra because of all the love people have for it. I dont like shirt collars but in viscose I like the Lyra. The sound was perfect for me 😊
I watched your first video and enjoyed it so came back for more …even better this time …A visiting cat! Cats, dogs or any other pet is always a bonus for me
I'm so impressed that you stuck to not buying pattern, you have a strong will! I love the labels, and they are the one "treat yourself" sewing item I can't believe I haven't gifted myself yet.... I may need to fix that or make some soon :) I love the fabric and flow of both your Lyra and Marnie top, the facing on the ruffle on the top really gives it a clean and professional-looking finish. Can't wait to see the coat when you get a chance!
Gday. Lovely video. I went yesterday to the K&S show, loooooooong day, hot & tiring, sure was lovely, especially meeting up with others 💙 you picked up some great things. Aawwwwww kitty cuteness🐾 😺Your Lyra is beautiful 🤩I put my K&S show vlog out as well today 🙂Thanku 'sew' much for sharing. Ana 🪡✂🧵🙂x
I didn't notice any issues with sound in either video. Thanks for including some footage of the show, it's fun to experience it vicariously. Great idea to write an Instagram post giving some advice for people who are planning on visiting. I would have enjoyed hearing you talk about it here as well, but that's just me being lazy and greedy 😄
This is the first time I found one of your videos. I no longer make my own clothes, but used to and was fascinated by the range of patterns available now. Lovely clothes and gorgeous cat - what a sweetie!
On your floral dress with the white runs, could you hand stitch the flowers and pink parts together (like a seam just enough to pull the pink over the white for those small portions?? There are so many folds it might not be noticeable. Like you said, it is hardly noticeable now. Years ago my mother put on the new dress she made. It was of cotton, light navy with multi-colored floral print. As she leaned onto a sink, something reacted to the fabric and bleached about a 3" part of the front. She did use markers and probably carried her purse in front of it.
Oh no, your mum must have been so upset! So frustrating after the hours we pour into garments. The runs are OK, the more I live with it the less I notice it 🌼
The fabric glue pen is great, I use it all the time when I’m doing collar stand. And to glue buttons in place so they don’t move before sewing. Also useful for zips.
Good on you for being able to stick to your fabric ban! I don't know how you did it because I certainly wouldn't have been able to 😂 The patterns and other goodies you picked up are lovely. I use a regular glue stick for temporarily holding my labels in place before I sew them down, and it works like a charm, so that glue pen should definitely come in handy. Sound quality seems fine to me, by the way!
The sound is good for me. You picked some lovely patterns at the show. Hope you enjoy making them up. Looking forward to seeing the finished garments in a future video!
Hi! i like your videos! the sound is perfect 4 me. Thank you 4 your honest comment on the Lyra. I see so many enthusiastic reviews and lovely makes but I really cannot fix the same arm issue you encountered. do you think reducing the seam to 1 cm could help? .as far as the viscose marocaine, after some bad experiences with very distorted pieces despite spraying my fabric with starch, I've made up my mind to only buy very good quality fabric!
Hi, I agree that I didn't hear many people talking about problems with the lyra. If I make this again I will use a tried and tested bodice armsyce and sleeve instead. I think it's too scooped out, it needs to be shallower, if that makes sense. I agree, quality fabrics makes such a huge difference! Thanks so much for watching 🌼
The sound was quite good for me. I really like the fabric in your Lyra and it looks lovely on you. Sounds like you had a pretty successful outing at the show and managed not to buy any fabrics - good job! 😊
I found the sound quality great in this video - you were a bit quieter in the first video so maybe you were just nervous. Your dress is lovely! Can’t see the flaws in the fabric at all unless you point them out - so don’t do that!! 😄 Your cat is like my dog - always wants in my lap. 😄 Looking forward to to your next video.
The audio sounds good to me, there might be a difference in the device’s people are using to watch YT. Your dress is really pretty 👏👏. It was nice to see what you got from the show. Happy sewing 🧵 🧵🪡🪡
What a lovely video. You don't have to apologize for everything. You are doing great. The sound was fine for me. Your makes are so pretty and you are 🌹lovely.
That's great, I think it can also depend on the device the viewer uses 😊
I enjoyed your video very much. I don’t sew anymore but you’ve done a lovely job on the dress you showed and the blouse you’re wearing - both look store bought (which is meant as a compliment.). Your cat is so adorable. A lot of cats ignore us humans so it was lovely to see him want so much attention. PS. Sound quality was fine 👍
Thanks so much for watching and commenting. I am biased but I think she is the best cat ever, so affectionate! 😊
Another great video.I love the amount of thought and preparation you put into the your presentation and your balance of positive and negative aspects of the patterns and fabric you use.
Thank you so much, that's very kind. I try to give an honest review, some of the negatives are also due to me not understanding the instructions 🤣
You are so very comfortable and it's only your second video! Great job
Thank you so much 🌼
Thank you for letting us know about the Amy dress looks great and a new pattern company to me. Love your Marnie, I sometimes think it's too busy but yours is great ❤😊
I agree, with all the bells and whistles it is quite busy so I just go for a couple of the features 😊 Thanks for watching
Glue pens are used a lot in quilting :-), thanks for sharing your experience with the Knitting & Stitching show, one day I'll make it and go explore it in person
I can imagine they're really useful for making sure it all lines up. The show is fun, very busy but fun 😊

Great video, sound quality is good, loud and clear and I’m listening on an iPad.
Thank you for watching and for the sound feedback 😊
Sound is fab very clear x
Great, thanks for the feedback 😊
Sound is good for me, I’m watching on an iPad. Sound will depend on how people are watching. Please don’t worry about. Great content.
I suppose it does depend, thank you for the feedback x
I did have problems with the sound on your first video but this one is much better 😊
love your blouse!
Lovely video. Congratulations on starting your channel, you are a natural! I am in USA and happy to follow you as a new sewing friend. I also made a Lyra because of all the love people have for it. I dont like shirt collars but in viscose I like the Lyra. The sound was perfect for me 😊
Hi! Thank you so much for watching and it's great to have a new viewer over in the US! How did you find the fit on the Lyra?
An interesting video with lots of relevant and detailed content. You have a lovely, natural style of presentation.
Thank you Annie, that's very kind of you 😊
I watched your first video and enjoyed it so came back for more …even better this time …A visiting cat! Cats, dogs or any other pet is always a bonus for me
Thanks so much for coming back Denise. Ettie loves a lap, she's so cute x
Another good video. Sound quality today was terrific. 😊
Thank you so much for coming back, glad the sound is good x

Definitely treat yourself to some labels, they are a nice touch. I save mine for my proudest makes or ones where the front and back are similar x

It's a great day out, yep it is tiring. So many people and lots to look at. Thanks for watching, I'll go and watch yours 😊
Sound quality is perfect. It’s probably views devices. I wouldn’t bother. Great vlog.
Thank you 😊
I didn't notice any issues with sound in either video.

Glad you enjoyed the footage, it was a great show to visit 😊
Had to turn the volume up high but the quality was absolutely fine. Another great video and with the bonus of a cat!
Thank you so much, she wanted her moment infront of the camera 😊
This is the first time I found one of your videos. I no longer make my own clothes, but used to and was fascinated by the range of patterns available now. Lovely clothes and gorgeous cat - what a sweetie!
Dressmaking has really taken off in the past few years, tonnes of indie patterns to chose from. Thank you, she is a gorgeous old rescue cat 😊

Lovely to see you at K&S this weekend Tania! Great to see you on TH-cam
Great to see you too, I hope it went well and you weren't too exhausted! X
Your dress is lovely😊 I really enjoyed your vlog and your cat who showed great persistence to get onto your knee made me smile😊
Thank you! She really wouldn't take no for an answer 🤣
The fabric glue pen is great, I use it all the time when I’m doing collar stand. And to glue buttons in place so they don’t move before sewing. Also useful for zips.
Some good ideas there, thank you x

A glue stick is a good idea! There were 2 fabrics I really wanted to get but forgot to go back thankfully! X
I’ve made the nova coat and thought the same thing when I cut out the pattern pieces but it all came together like a puzzle and I love wearing it x
That's good to hear! Puzzles can be fun 😆
Beautiful dress! 14:58
Thank you! 🌼
The sound is good for me. You picked some lovely patterns at the show. Hope you enjoy making them up. Looking forward to seeing the finished garments in a future video!
That's great, thanks for letting me know. I wonder when I'll get round round to sewing them 😆
Lovely video, your Marnie blouse is gorgeous x
Thank you very much 😊
Your cat is so cute !!!❤
She is very cute, thank you 😊

Nice video. Sorry if I missed it but what are you (and your cat) called?

@@justletmesew lovely to meet you both. 😊
The sound was quite good for me. I really like the fabric in your Lyra and it looks lovely on you. Sounds like you had a pretty successful outing at the show and managed not to buy any fabrics - good job! 😊
That's good to know. What I saved on fabrics I spent on patterns 🤣

Good, pleased the sound is better. It's so sweet how they want to be near us 😊
Sound is ok, just a bit echoey! Lapel mic could work well
Thanks for watching 🌼
