- If you know me, you know that I love styling with an Afro Pick, but there are other ways to style a Full Pompadour. Here is a how I style my hair with a Styling comb. I have very thick hair with a wave.

awesome! i currently have a high fade pomp with a wavy mane..the afropick helped me in pomping my hair without a blower..i wish you can also provide tips for those greasers with faded pomps to add that classic look instead of a metrosexual look..thanks man!

CountryCovers I'm dressing up as johnny cash for history tomorrow and I was looking at pompadour vids but I just don't have the hair for it
He actually has a video on how to do the Johnny Cash pompadour. I do it too and i have straight hair. You need alot of length with straight hair or really any hair. Use a shiny pomade, slick the sides and top back, part your hair on the left side, and pomp up the front. Make sure its forwards. Watch his johnny cash video

Cameron A, I do recommend that you try out Crew Grooming Cream. Reason being is because it is much stronger than regular pomade, and it also makes your hair shine more. I use the high hold and shine version of that grooming cream, and it makes my hair look great. P.S. For example: Just take a look at the picture on my avatar.

Can you give me some tips on Making my pompadour look really clean and getting it to stay put? Some times I have hairs that come out or parts of my pompadour fall down.. and if I add more pomade my hair gets heavy and wont stay but if I use a little it isnt strong enough to hold. I usually just use cheap pomades. Murrays, Sportin waves, etc. Thanks! Awesome video!

Gel is the most stupid hair product on the planet, just go to walmart and get some murrays for a buck.
would using Axe's Clean Cut Pomp work as well and I have thick hair that comes to the bottom of my nose could I still style it in to a pompadour ?
+Josh White Axe is terrible, low quality. I tried that same type one time. I recommend Royal Crown Pomade. Its actual oil (petroleum) based, which is what they used in the 50s. Water based poms dont hold well. And if you use a light hold, it weighs less, so it doesnt weigh your hair down, which lets if lift up. Plus light holds have the most shine
