Really nice. You should keep the pomp look. Might want to grow the front a few more inches and also the sides. The ideal length for an Elvis pomp is hair to the end of your nose when combed forward and about 3 inches on the sides and about 2 inches in the back. But you did a nice job even with the short hair.
Old video but if you're still rocking the pomp I recommend using a more solid holding pomade. Royal Crown Hair Dressing is okay but I find you lose height on the pomp after a few hours. My pompadour won't last all day if I use Royal Crown HD. I use Black Cat from Ace High which is an oil based one and man that will hold all day plus it smells pretty good too.
Tip, if you use a water soluble clay. Apply it when the hair is damp, slightly in the wrong direction to where you want it to finally set. Let it dry most of the way. Then comb it to the direction you want with a loose comb. This will remove the hardness and shine. Use a little more water where needed for flyaways and set with a hair spray.

I bought the same pomade royal crown I brought it In to my barber and he said the stuff has petroleum jelly that’s why it stays so well also flammable so I use a water based pomade that’s what Larry Geller put in his hair along with a ton of vitamins and treatments to keep the hair healthy it’s amazing royal crown is still in buisness long after Elvis passed

Better grow your hair out a little bit, take a look at some homebrew products, especially pomades, good technique but lack of hair length & proper products. Stay fresh bro 👍
the WORST hair style men have used is to have the sides practically shaved off like they do now days..Men look best with 2-4 inches in length on the sides, it's makes them look more handsome for sure...to women anyway.

Sure, just a classic slick back? Really I think it’s all about the right product. Royal crown good, murray’s is a classic if you want a stronger hold
I usually slick top back first, then the sides and duck tail the back
