    Thanks for uploading and clustering the last stream, really helps me to jump into Mexico again (the revolts scared me off back in the day). Cheers and greetings from the other side of the canal! :)

    Hey Widgie, I'm alexgordonblue in the game, I use a similar FF with minor differences but you age up to 3rd with Sonora instead, your push will be delayed 2 mins but will be much much stronger, there is so much sinergy with the Cathedral card.
    My card order is the following:
    1) Hacienda + 2 vills
    2) Cathedral Card in transition to 2nd age
    3) 700 gold
    4) Arteaga Reforms
    5) Cuatreros de Sonora
    6) 2 Falconets
    8) Militar Shipments and eventually the Church Improvement Card
    You basically aim for a FF with hunting dogs and placer mines, you should be going Fortress around 6 minutes, make sure you send Arteaga reforms and send all vills to gold in transition. Why you would want gold in transition? Well, there is a tech in the Cathedral for 500g that reduces 50 seconds your age up and doubles your XP crates which is so powerful for next shipments.
    Once you reach Fortress, you should have 1000w and 600xp in crates, collect your xp crates first and inmediately send Cuatreros of Sonora (they are 5pop each), then collect the wood and build 10 houses and research veteran soldados for free (Arteaga Reforms). What is amazing about the Cuatreros card is that they can defend early Fortress pushes but can collect food at 1f/s if there is no pressure, so it's an inmediate boost to your economy until your falcs arrive and you build your soldado mass, so once they arrive send them to collect food and adjust your macro to create soldado batches. In the meantime you cand the send the church tech that sends 1 insurgente per house built (about 10 insurgentes), then send 2 falcs and push.
    There is a minor variation that's even more powerful but requires an extra shipment, instead of creating Soldados in Fortress you would add an extra barracks with the 1000w and create double skirm batches. When you are about to push with 8 cuatreros, 10 insurgentes, 30 skirms and 2 falcs, you send Plan de Tuxtepec and convert all your skirms in Soldados. The final tip is that if you have an spare shipment, you can even send Church Improvement Card, it allows a technology that improves your Soldados (15% attack and hp).
    Let me know if you want a replay and thanks for your content.

    I like how straight forward the builds are. I would love to see Routeline´s take for Rio Grande or Yucatan revolt.

      Haven't touched on it yet but it will be an interesting experiment! I'm thinking more of a water boom or FF that coalesce into some post 10 minute timing.. will definitely try it out

    I play mexico mainly, and they have so many crazy options, but for 1v1 revolts are kind of played out. just gotta get a nice military force early as possible. I only revolt if it seems like the best option and it rarely is

    • @routeline6012
      @routeline6012 2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Revolts fall off quick so you have to turn the corner fast, even Central America's villager advantage will not last that long. So yea safest option would be sending 5vils and just play it standard like an euro civ.

      @@routeline6012 Exactly. Ive been using the salty to Soldado card in ff. Buff insurgent and salty early then in age 3 turn them to sols and wreak havoc

    I used to prefer Otto FF due to Abus guns, but Soldados + Artillery shut down structures so fast that you can even disrupt the opponent military production/reinforcements.

    Love the MeXico revolts but seeing them do a standard FF is awesome too !

    • @routeline6012
      @routeline6012 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Pretty standard, powered by the 6 Cuirassier and the San Luis Patriot(Chinaco card). I think San Luis Patriots is overpowered for how much value you can get from a single shipment.
