A tip for later vids: move your camera to a side where there's no useful info. You are blocking one of the parts where we could see a lot of stuff (unit stats, what building we can built etc). Also, just press the 'Pause' button on your keyboard to pause the game :D (yes, there is a pause button on most full sized keyboards)
I have a 40% keyboard so pausing is a struggle haha! After recording I noticed that I was in the way of some crucial information. If it was a short video then I would've redone the recording but this took longer than I thought lol. Thanks for the heads up!
The Chipotle Tactics card probably works the same as the Call to Arms card the Indians get, which gives you Irregulars and Sentries when your buildings are destroyed but it doesn't work when you destroy your own buildings.

Just bought this DLC and was kinda overwhelmed by the combination of revolutions and the US age up system. I partly bought the DLC to complete my spreadsheet for how good units are compared to their counterparts of other/same civ.
About the build limit of the Maya Holcan Javelin. TLDR they are very strong, cheap and cost 0 pop so build limit is a must.
They are basically a musket type unit, their ranged attack seems low at first, but they have double RoF. They are 0 pop, so without a build limit you could make infinite amounts of them.
If all upgrades are send, then this unit is the 2nd best cost efficient musket unit in the game. Only the Spanish Soldado (trained with livestock) scores better. The Holcan Jav compared to Spanish musket (trained by Mexico/Maya after sending card) has nearly 30% more hp, 20% less ranged dps, 15% more siege, 25% less melee attack, 10% more speed, 50% less cost. The Holcan would win the 1v1 against that musket and that musket is allround better than Portugese or British musket.

I like to age up as quickly as possible with Tlaxcala, build 7 haciendas (ship a few) and use the card that multiplies your settlers. You can get about 60 or 70 by the time you revolt and they all turn into revolutionaries. They stronk. Then you can pretty much nuke the base with them and your regular military units.

Hey Widgie, thanks for the deep and detailed insight into the mexican civ, really looking forward to the release! Just a quick question: Are Mexican revolts the age-up mechanic or are they an optional choice? The civ seems to elaborate even further on the flexibility the devs introduced with the US civ! I am already overwhelmed by the many choices and new cards
No, they also have the feder states age up
It's an option rather than traditionally aging with a federal state, you can catch my other video where I go through the federal state options :)

The food card works if You or the enemies destroy a building but doesnt count if You destroy your own, will grant You the dame amount of food as XP

I convinced my brother to get this game too and he will pick the US and use the Texas Federal State age up and I will be Mexico, revolt as Texas. Thus combined, we recreate a complete Republic of Texas 😅 both hispanic and anglo sides!

Send you (enviate, haciendas de Tlaxcala) obtienes 2 colonos por cada hacienda, no importa si te revoluciones.
Al revolucionarte enviate HACIENDAS y tendrás otra vez colonos. SIMPLE.
maya jav's are insane when you get them to 430hp and make 100+ for no pop haha

Hey ,,,I cannot seem to get past the Jalisco challenge in the Fiesta Mexicana challenges.... I tried it as skirmish I tried it as multi player all ai besides me....i successfully convert to Mexico but never can win the scenario so I cannot advance....My question is ..Do I have to play another "human" opponent in order to unlock the next mission? I really do not know one to play against who would not kill me lol Sorry to ask this here but I have no other idea on how to get past this.

Probebly the javeleneer dont cost population, so they have a build-limit. But in the Video i cant see it, because there is your face

There should be the fist raising icon in the TC. Should cost 300 food, wood and gold.

If you see a "J" is spanish I advise you pronounce it like an "H". It's way less cringe.

The card „worrior culture“ in the Maya-Deck is also Not new. Its acessable for every native civ. I think u have not that much knowledge about the game

Baja California revolt is the best I racked up a lot of wins with it. Both in Age II and III. More in Age III. It’s a beauty.
