Tbf it feels strange when its not crowded. My best memories of theme parks when i was a kid was absolutely sprinting to each ride so we could get in line quick , and it was even better when you were a group or two behind and you see 10 groups come up behind you in line then sitting down still out of breath. Those were the best moments, trying to beat the crowd as a kid when the park was packed
I dont know if anyone else saw them but there are a couple animal welfare red flags such as a walrus in seemingly too warm/ not clean/large enough container. An owl coming out in broad daylight with multiple birds in the same enclosure tied down. Animals are not toys and high stress levels might be really common.
I went to this aquarium in Japan and if I remember correctly they also had a polar bear in really bad condition :( Japan's animal cafes/etc. Do not have the best rep
the walrus made me come to the comments. there’s no way that is just considered okay. we have a beloved walrus at my local zoo & while it has it’s issues as well (polar bears included, poor babies. it is so hard to have the proper conditions for them.) our walrus is always in clean water & his eyes have never looked like that.
Animal welfare is definitely one thing Japan could do better. It seems very widespread so there must be an across the board lack of knowledge about issues. I’m not sure how to help better educate people about it though…
@@Delaney-and-the-Starlight Any zoo and aquarium I've been too makes me sad in America, too, so I don't really think it's just a Japan. Also Japan has animal rescue sites that aren't like aquariums just like America. (obviously not the place they are in now. This aquarium made me sad when I visited just like the ones in America lol) I am just saying this because the internet lately has had a "shit on Japan" kind of run this past year, just like a few years ago Japan could do no wrong, so if you've been seeing on the internet lately that animal welfare in general in Japan sucks I promise it's not anymore than other countries. I'm not saying it doesn't exist, the internet just either hates or loves Japan right now and doesn't treat it like a grey area like things ACTUALLY are. Japan has good and bad points like everywhere else. Nature is treated very well in Japan, the catch spay/neuter and release program is very good in Japan for cats. I've never run across a feral cat that didn't have that clipped ear meaning they were fixed, and people in general have a good respect for the wild. But that's not popular on the internet right now.
I wanted so bad to visit this collab in person, but because of my physical disability, I haven't been able to travel lately. Thank you so much for this, it was such a blast to watch :")
I think that seal was doing loops because it was stressed with the confinement which is kinda sad, but otherwise it seems like such a cute collaboration. I would be absolutely frothing at the mouth
I saw animal crossing and clicked. I wore my animal crossing shirt to universal studios osaka, and the staff were getting so excited when they saw my shirt. They kept saying 'dōbutsu no mori kawaii' to me.
6:03 I think those are live sand dollars. The smooth white ones, which they’re most known as are what they look like dead. Also, as someone who enjoys animal crossing and played wild world as a kid, I love this video 💖
Yes they are. And they are even in the game series. It's one of the first things I've encountered back then in Wild World in the beginning of the game when "sea shells" and fruits were the only source of income.
My favorite part is Aki immediately knowing Rosie's name in Japanese (even I knew that and she's not one I care for 😂 part of being an ACNH fan for a few years) and Aki getting tjat stamp book done. I'd be racing too 😂 Second favorite is Joey looking like he's starting an interview with Blathers. Content I didn't know I needed. Also Celeste is one my favorites too. Her and Brewster and Isabelle are my favorite NPCs.
Nice to see Felix and Marzia with you. I remember seeing his video about his first time playing AC and how he grew to eventually enjoy it. 5:53 - OMG Gulliver nooo
@@reimari11 same. I discovered it helps me at work when I get to listen to it. And my students love the video game soundtracks that I use like this and other Nintendo music. Seems like they don't hear any teachers doing that and they work well when I use it so it's a win win.
I love Sea Paradise! When I was little my family would visit my grandparents every summer. Sometimes when they were tired of us kids they would just give us some money and drop us off at the park for the day. It’s a great place to spend the day at with many activities and rides. There’s even a roller coaster that is partially over the ocean!
There's something really wholesome about two bros just chilling at an Animal Crossing museum. It'd be awesome if they just give you a shark so you can show it off like you can in the games!
When I went to Japan by far the best experience was the Osaka Aquarium! Was absolutely beautiful and MASSIVE! We spent hours there and I would 100% go back! Much love from Arizona 💜💜
Anyone ever think how people are more scared of sharks than dolphins but at aquariums you never see dolphin in general population with the rest of the fish, yet sharks are?
you guys should go to more aquarium/museum and amusement parks and make a day video there, that would be cool and fun :D thank you so much for todays video and that you shared it with us :)
At 5:58 the creature is a Sand Dollar, an Echinoderm (same family as starfish, sea cucumbers and the more familiar sea urchins) and in the same Class as sea urchins. You could think of them as flat sea urchins without their signature spiky look.
9:32 it’s interesting how they called the fishing dude Jason in Japan because in America they call him Cj in animal crossing but it’s really interesting learning about how they give them different names in different languages
I would add "Dont approach celebrities in public if they are with their kids". Allow them to just be themselves and focus on being parents. You are not more important than their kids, no matter what.
Idk why but your comment about the Walrus eyes made me think of Wolfs Rain and how Toboe had to attack the massive Walrus and his eye to get past in episode 22
I would definitely have stood in line for a coffee. Whether the coffee itself was any good or not, I wouldn't even care. I just want the cup with the Brewster logo on it.
Aki! I'm a body piercer, i saw you have a small irritation bump on your eyebrow piercing. I use a warm compress (i use a black tea bag) once a day and clean with sterile saline spray afterwards to shrink and eventually get rid of them, Id also recommend checking what type of metal quality you have and use titanium jewelry if you aren't already. I love animal crossing so much ill have to go here if i visit Japan!! is it a limited time only or ongoing~!
I’m shocked how poor the animals are taken care of. Tanks look cramped, walrus looks infected/injured, birds look traumatised, but it’s all ok because they used animal crossing themes right? (I know animal rights aren’t perfect atm but Jesus I’d thought a place as developed as Japan wouldn’t treat their animals so poorly, almost as bad as France but fortunately not as bad as the Great Wall of China)
6:06 Sand dollars are echinoderms, related to sea stars, sea urchins, and sea cucumbers. Echinoderms are characterized by their radial symmetry, tube feet, and spiny skin. The name echinoderm literally translates to spiny skin! When they die, they leave behind a shell called a test. I love em.
It looks like y'all had a lot of fun and I'm glad that Aki completed the rally. I love watching videos from stamp rallys and just general fun Japan nerd activities, so just know I'd watch more of this lol
I would cry if I was able to experience this irl, I love animal crossing so much. I would explore the aquarium for hours in game. Also the thing you touched was a sand dollar.
I recently visited one of the Animal Crossing aquarium tour stops in the United States, and I have to say it wasn’t executed nearly as well as this. Was still fun but the stamp rally was a joke, instead of having stamps at each location an employee stamped all 4 spaces at the end if you showed them pictures of each NPC standee, and the stamp rally card was just printed out on cheap printer paper. The signage throughout the museum was done really well and ours had a washed up Gulliver as well, but they didn’t have the background music or any themed food or drinks.

Agreed as tourists anywhere we have a responsibility not to encourage animal abuse in any fashion
Yeah this place looks suspicious you should not have an owl that’s interacting with tourists during the day
So fkd
Damn thats so sad…..
THIS. why would you promote these kind of things
Joey is probably the only person in the world, who wants to come back to a theme park, because it wasn’t crowded enough…

I was saying the walrus water looked so gross. And if you look at his body when he swims by on his back, it looks like lacerations up his tummy 😥😥

So kind of joey to support small content creators like Felix
felix and marzia like the parents bringing their kids to the amusement park
Be nice to Nook. He gives you a zero interest mortgage and tells you he doesn't care if you never pay it back. I'll never understand the hate he gets.
The hate is probably because of his Gamecube era self
In the older games, he forced your into getting home upgrades. In the newer games they made him less of an agressive salesman.
the ac museum music in the background just elevates this collab to another level. Japan collabs are GOATED
The exhibition is going on a worldwide tour actually so you might get a chance to see it!
