Seeing such abundant decadence makes me so happy, I got to see TWO universal parks and I never thought I would, to top it off it was with Jacob and Jaiden some of my favorite famous people, this christmas keeps on giving. ❤

Yeah, never tried the Hollywood version only the Japan one, but the food in Japan is solid. I think I had the teriyaki chicken and it wasnt bad.

I’m actually studying abroad in Japan pretty soon and didn’t even think about visiting Universal Studios Japan! I’m about to make some dangerously irresponsible purchases at those One Piece and Pokémon merch stores!
It’s in Osaka just to give you a heads up. Also one piece stuff and jujutsu Kaisen stuff left USJ I am not sure what the current collabs are but I’m sure it’s on their website.
Hate to break it to you, but unfortunately the One Piece and JJK stuff is gone and has been for ~2/3 months :( Pokemon is still there but less

Whether or not the lines are enjoyable is honestly one of the biggest things that decides how good a theme park is for me. When even the scenery for the lines are filled with whimsy, you _know_ the park was made with love, by people who genuinely care for the source material.
It's crazy how freaking ginormous One Piece has reached over the years, I could see why this series is insanely popular even at their home country.
Luffy and the strawhats are fun characters for sure!
Its basically a religion over there. I had like 5 different cab drivers like 40+ in age comment on my One Piece merch. Crazy shit.
One piece always been huge everywhere but the US and you have 4kids to blame for that. Its really the last three years that the US is catching up.

@@LuigiXHerohonestly yeah I was the first demographic that was meant to watch English one piece and uhh yeah.... I didn't. I thought it looked fucking stupid and Sanji did not help. Plus the rap was hella cringe at the time since everything, in a time where boy bands were the reigning champions of music they decided to be "hip" about 14 years too late. But they were also about 18 years ahead of their time because unfortunately corpo cringe rap is better than a good amount of rap now because the cringe was earnest and today is just plain corpo.
As the recent event happened to Japan two days ago, A bad way to begin 2024, However for something like this that comforts us and not to think of tragedy and think of something that you've enjoyed like this, I wish all the victims safe and move on reaching positivity and amusement.

@@potahtwah9591 An incident happened in Japan two days ago were an earthquake happened with the large 7.2 magnitude, large tsunami waves have been occurring cause damage around normal neighborhoods and most people have managed to survive from this, And I believe only seven people have died through this occurrence, It was a big deal.
Even when tragedy strikes, Japan is quick to recover. Japan has never ceased to put a smile on my face
The Alpharad theme park character arc continues. Btw just letting you know but if you ever (for some reason) end up coming to Copenhagen in Denmark, then try visiting Tivoli Gardens. Its this super scenic and themed theme park in downtown Copenhagen and the legitimate place that inspired Walt Disney the most when making Disneyland. Its smaller than Disneyland, and a lot cheaper, but I have a feeling you'd love it there, even if the only marketable character there is like Petzi... but the park also has rock concerts every friday, gourmet restaurants all over, they legit have more eateries than rides, and some amazing seasonal events.
Not to mention the park is open until midnight in the weekends in summer, and boy is that the most beautiful man-made thing I've ever witnessed
I thought it was the Efteling park in the Netherlands that inspired Disney? Could be multiple sources of inspiration though idk
@@pillbugm8914 Efteling is similar and I can't deny Disney possibly knowing about it, but Disney did deliberately visit Tivoli multiple times after his first visit in 1951 and launched a partnership and worker exchange program with Tivoli gardens in the 1960's that still lasts to this day. Disney's parks and resorts division even donated a parade float to Tivoli Gardens for their 175th anniversary 6 years ago celebrating their partnership.
Huge vouch!! I finally got to visit this summer and it was so fun!! Just be aware that a lot of the rides close before midnight, and be ready to dodge the crowds that gather for the concerts

Regarding the Spider-Man man ride: it's a carbon copy of the Spider-Man ride in Orlando. The reason it looks like the 90s cartoon/the comics is because the ride originally opened in 1999 and because of the theme park rights to the character.
Due to the nature of the contract Universal got for the theme park rights to Marvel characters (basically everyone except for the Guardians of the Galaxy and some other characters who were considered minor in the late 90s/00s), they were allowed to keep using those rides pretty much for as long as they want, even though Disney outright owns Marvel now.
The only catch is that they can't change the rides to match the current Marvel movies/shows that Disney produces.
I saw the ride and was like "wait a minute that’s literally the ride I went on in Orlando". I can't be too surprised since I'm fairly certain a lot of rides at Disney World and Universal Studios Orlando are themselves carbon copies of the California versions, but it's funny regardless 😊
Also, the Spider-Man Ride in Japan is closing soon/has closed already. (Some time in January/February it was scheduled to close forever)
Universal has the theme park rights to Spider-Man, X-Men, the Avengers and the Fantastic Four in the U.S. east of the Mississippi. That's why there's an Avengers Campus in Disney California Adventure but only Guardians of the Galaxy rides in Walt Disney World.

I was wondering if that was why she wasn’t allowed on the ride, but that wouldn’t make as much sense in a major tourist attraction like a theme park. More of a thing individual businesses would do.

When foreigners see Japanese people with tattoos, they tend to think of them as yakuza, but this is not actually the case. Even Japanese people, there are many people who use tattoos for fashion purposes. And since Yakuza tattoos are distinctive, Japanese people can easily identify them.
The Super Nintendo World in Hollywood is the reason I'm psyched for the one coming to Orlando. They're actually building their Super Nintendo World more 1:1 to what Japan has. Hopefully, the food doesn’t suck as well.

What did they think of it before?
I wrote a speech in Japanese at a language school in 2022. I basically wrote about how all the cool things I likes growing up and even into adulthood (cars) all came from this tiny country. If you can visit Japan do it. I'm going for my third trip at the end of the month!
i think something that wouldve been cool was they couldve made the pokemon merch shops have merch themed AFTER THE INGAME COSMETIC SHOPS and even couldve played the music themes in the store. wouldve been a cool thing to do for the fans

Yeah Asia adores Minions. Universal Beijing has a Minions land too. Its because their "humor" is just them talking nonsense so they're easy to adapt for other languages.
I was honestly expecting this to be the actual anime theme park that’s just outside of Osaka but I should’ve guessed it wasn’t by the fact that none of the properties in it (Crayon Shin-Chan, Naruto, Godzilla, Dragonquest, or Demon Slayer) were in the thumbnail
Well Universal just bought a lot of land here in the UK and there are plans to build a park here, so hopefully that goes through smoothly and you could come here.

An identical version of the Japan Super Nintendo World (but with wider pathways) is opening at Universal Orlando in summer 2025 at their new park Epic Universe. It is going to have the Mario Kart ride, Yoshi ride, and the Donkey Kong ride.

I would love to see you travel to Orlando and try out everything there is at Universal Orlando and/or Disney World. Might want to wait till the new Universal park opens with the 3rd Nintendo world with the Donkey Kong roller coaster though. (Make sure to bring all meds that are needed, may include sun screen)

Theme park addiction and jaiden unintentionally stopping Jacob from entering multiple rides, this probably has one of the worst timings of any Alpharad video....
How so?
Japan was recently hit with a large earthquake literally on New Year's Day. It's no Tohoku Earthquake but it's still a rather big thing for the region.
I'm not saying he was wrong to release the video, but you have to admit the timing was rather unfortunate.

An amazing channel, I was so close to visiting Japan at one point myself. I had experience with modeling and in late 2015 I was in contact with Capcom about the facial likeness role of Leon for the Resident Evil 2 Remake. I failed to mention I also have a voice acting background, in the end I lost the part and I can't forgive myself for wasting such an opportunity. That would've been a real dream come true to visit this amazing place.

I went at the start of 2019 and I’m extremely surprised how much it’s changed since then. The only things I remember being the same so far have been the Jurassic park the minions and the spider man ride.
Edit: some of the attractions are pretty much the same in a different skin such as the one piece show.

Yeah heck IIRC 7eleven is now owned by a Japanese company. Honestly one thing I think is even crazier is that the busiest 7eleven in the whole world isn't in Japan and its not in the United States either, you'd never know it in advance but the world's busiest 7eleven is at a train station in Copenhagen, Denmark. One that I regularly go to even just because its a good place to get Yakitobi or a pastry while changing trains. Like I'm sorry how?!
