  • The twins have swapped masters! Episode six of The Acolyte wasn't as action packed as Night was, but it had some really great explorations into the Force, especially the dark side. Here is my review for Teach / Corrupt!

I really love how Qimir’s helmet is a sensory deprivation helmet. So not only did he wreck all those Jedi on Khofar with little to no armor, he did that while he could hardly see or hear anything.

I don’t believe Vernestra is Sith. Instead, I believe she was Qimir’s former (Jedi) master and something happened between the two of them where they fought and she left him for dead. The scars on his back look like they could have been caused by a whip or, in this case, Vernestra’s weapon. She may be starting to suspect he is still alive hence, her apparent uneasiness throughout the series.

I interpreted Qimir’s scar as being a consequence of being rejected by a Sith master.
Qimir could very well be someone rejected by both the Jedi and the Sith. He could end up being killed by the end of the series and then Vernestra covers up the whole situation. Meanwhile Qimir’s former Sith master and their new apprentice remain at large.
I really don’t like the idea of Vernestra being a Sith. I would rather her suspicious behaviour be an example of the Jedi becoming more interested in political intrigue than in serving the greater good. Something we see crippling the Jedi in the prequels.

So the view on the force that I've always seen is that I think it is true that we apply morality both Jedi and stiff to the light side in the dark side. Is why I think they have very different names in other languages and other belief systems and taken. Also what Marin from Star Wars Jedi has said about the dark side here's always been my take: The force is a mirror which makes sense because Ray kind of in my mind sees the purest version of the force which is literally a mirror. The Dark Side of the force is you in the mirror. It's a direct reflection of yourself the way you are now. Also interesting to note that technically by definition while the mirror shows you truth, it's also technically an illusion. This is the thing most people when they look in the mirror they see their imperfections they see their hair. They see their scars and blemishes and if you stare long enough at those things, you become obsessed by them and corrupted by them. This is why the dark side is a natural part of the world. It's simply just showing you who you are, but due to people's nature of obsessing over wrongness of themselves, they end up falling into terrible traps and thus becoming morally bad. The light side of the force is the actual light reflected back at you. It's purity it's to show you what you could become if you did things well. To me, this explains a lot about Force visions. For example, how when Darth Vader enters his dark side vision, all he sees is every single thing he did wrong. But when he sees the glimpse of the light side, he sees Luke in a redeeming form. There's been other examples like this throughout Star Wars, but this is how I always broke down the force. The real two sides of the force is the living force and the cosmic Force possibly chaos in order. The Light Side and dark side is stuff that we've attributed human language to because of the consequences of our own actions. People dwell on the dark side. They fall into a giant pit of despair with exceptions and people get so blinded by the light. They're unable to see the beautiful future that they could have. Balance part as you said in your video is seeing yourself for who you are acknowledging your imperfections and then combining that with okay. Here's where we are now. Here's where we could be and then working towards that thus building a better future for yourself. This to me has always been the actual balance in the force.

Qimir is older than he looks and I'm thinking maybe he and Sol came into the order at the same time, were Younglings together. 2. Qimir WAS the Sith apprentice but isn't any more and it was his Sith master that discarded him, not the Jedi. That's why he wants the 'power of two', to have an acolyte to teach and train to rival and eventually take down his former master and the apprentice that replaced him. 3. Qimir is going to be killed by the new Sith apprentice and they will take Osha as their acolyte.

All the traits Qimir is showing to osha during his manipulation tatics, while on the other hand we see the anger and grief may have affected Sol more than he lets on. As an audience we see his lack of composure and doing things unbecoming of a Jedi leaving without explaining himself to Vernestra. Am I the only one who thinks Qimir might be trying to form a Force dyad, and that's what he means by "the power of two?"

Oh no, therefore the Kylo Ren theme?! I would not like that. Ben and Rey did not create their dyad!

I think that was a reference to the Sith Rule of Two.
I do think however, that whatever was going on with Osha and Mae's conceptions has somethig to do with the Force Dyad shenanigans.

Please do a video on Essence Transfer! Qimir alluded to being much older than he looks. Essence Transfer was a big part of the 3rd Bane book. It opens up the door to him either originally being a different species (Bith, Muun, etc.) or could become another species through transfer later on. I think he is a discarded Sith apprentice who what’s to challenge his old master and reclaim the Sith title. That’s why he says Jedi like Sol “might” call him a Sith. He was one, and is trying to reclaim his position. He said he has no name, because when he was discarded his Darth name was essentially discarded too. With Essence Transfer being an established thing from legends though, he could be/become a Sith we already know of, even if he looks different right now.

I loved this episode! Loving the music too! Especially these last 2 episodes where Kylo Rens theme has played a few times overall in both episodes. I’m thinking Qimir could be trying to break free of his Sith master and he could become the first knight if ren
