One Must Fall 2097 Looks SO GOOD like this and the game is really good, but, these graphics give it a truly new look, that One Must Fall Battlegrounds lacked.

Quite, I am still missing OMF in a 1:1 redone version in latest Unreal engine with this soundtrack in the game. No futher changes! Keep it simple, so the gane will stay everlasting best. Epic is not aware of the potential of this game... 😢
SO strange every few years I search for this theme and someone has always done a remix and its usually better than the last, I think you are on top.
This is going to be very VERY hard to top TBH mane, this is near perfection in every way
Just the SHAREWARE version of this game left a huge impression on me as a kid. Customizing my robot, the bits flying on each hit, and after we got speakers and/or a soundcard, the satisfying deep clangs of a big successful blow.... Sadly, I suck at fighting games, even today, but I think this game helped me grow a love of coolly-designed robots and fighting games in general. This theme is always in my memories somewhere.

This is sick. I wish they would remake One Must Fall 2097 with today's tech.
Do you want this remake as a presentation upgrade (3d graphics with 2d gameplay), or as a full-3d game like Tekken?
And I would certainly think that Unreal Engine 5 would be the best engine to use for such a remake.

I don't think this game would hold up to a 3D remake. They tried that and they were all terrible games. A remaster of the original with more content (there are mods that add a lot more campaigns) would be best.@@crimcrusader8459
@@crimcrusader8459 We already have enough 3d games...I would like to see an upgrade with 3d graphics and updated 2d gameplay to keep the retro feel of the original.
@@Ironarm011exact same control scheme too. The button layouts are the only ones from a fighting game I ever fully learned, inside and out.
I hope Kenny Chou sees this at some point. Hope he's doing well... that guy wrote some legendary songs and deserves to look back on that with pride, whatever he's doing now. As for the remix, it's frickin' cool, as one would expect from you guys (your Jazz Jackrabbit remixes were sweet!) Well chosen, and if you ever want to do some more OMF 2097, I'll be here for it! =D

Seriously this brought me back there, for a few moments I got back waking up on saturday getting my dad up and booting up my old 386 banging through the world tour with my dad. I lost him 2 years ago and this just made my day.
Bruh. After vanquishing Nova, Jaguar punched the air in victory…and hit me right in the feels. Made my week.

Can you imagine if we had gotten a Saturday morning cartoon/anime series?!?!
I have had this in my head for ages.
So, Milano is the eventual winner, but only because Raven joins in the final fight. He exploits a loophole in the rules which states "No other competitor's HAR can interfere in a match".
However, Milano, who likes the speed and agility of a Jaguar doesn't train with a simulation. He has a Katana he trains with. Which Raven (along with Shirro and Ibrahim) commandeers and drops into the final fight.
It's Milano's HAR. So technically, no other competitor's HAR has interfered.

Man I only just got done watching the trailer for Prime Video's Secret Level. Which is an anthology series based on 15 different games. Many of whom are lesser known than some of the big popular AAA stuff.
And here I am thinking: One Must Fall would be perfect for such an anthology series if it got a second season. The premise alone sells itself even if the general audience doesn't know OMF as well: Gigantic robots in city sized arenas fighting each other in gladiatorial combat sports. Kind of if you combined the competition structure of Robot Wars/Battlebots with the Jeagers from Pacific Rim.
Never needed a music cover so much in my entire life haha! This is nothing short of amazing! =D

@@LynxofCP In my youth, I splurged on the official strategy guide along with the game, which gives you the "scrap" finishers, as well as Jaguar's "destruction"... super-finisher? And the hint that there were more to find. I eventually even figured out a few more of them, but that was much later if I recall correctly. Ah, memories...

How this game was never made into an Anime or a TV Series it's really beyond me...
I think its nature as a PC-only game kind of hurt its potential at a time when consoles such as the Sega Genesis/Mega Drive and Super Nintendo/Super Famicom were at their peak - plus, it's an independent game made by an independent studio, not a big-name release, so that hurt its chances of success as well, in my opinion.
@@OnafetsEnovap It's made by Epic Megagames and oddly enough, it's had easter eggs in fortnite. I remember in Chapter 4, there were posters of the box art on the map you could find. I don't know it if was just an artist being cheeky and using an ip they haven't touched in forever or what but it was awesome. I loved this game as a kid.

Only fighting game I ever really got into. Personlly if I was the Jag I would have done a lot more jump kicks into down forward kicks ending with a down back kick. And a few air down punch throws for good measuee.
It would have been much more efficient indeed :)

I'd replace the in-game music with this if it looped. No offense to Kenny who originally wrote and developed the song - although this isn't the best (original is), it's definitely better than your recent remake. Fantastic job SIDNIFY and wonderful video; love the narrative and the rendering. Check your KOFI for a bit of a tip.

1994 -- One Must Fall 2097 released. BANGER soundtrack and happens to be one of the best fighting games ever made.
2023 -- People are STILL remixing it's music. They're reminiscing about the "Good Times." And, there are a LOT of people who don't even know it exist(ed). Not only will it turn 29-years old on Tuesday, but it's also freeware now! 👍

It shouldn't've been a Superman Punch a la Roman Reigns that beheaded Nova. It should've been the Jaguar's own Overhead Throw. Also explains the rocket evasion.
Otherwise, a ridiculously, fantastically, nostaligic piece of work sir/sirs/miss/ladies/diverse group of individuals from assorted walks of life who have all come to pay homage to a Freakin' Awesome game, that nèeds a re-mastering and re-release!!

One of the most lovingly crafted fan creations ever made for this gem of a game. I'm also elated to see my beloved Electra, the queen of pokes, actually getting her fair spotlight for once. You wouldn't catch me dead in any other HAR.
I wanna ask, based on the color schemes, who the Jaguar and Electra pilots are? They aren't any of the main cast, so perhaps one of the tournament mode characters?
These HARs were our childhood favourites, so in the video they are presented in our personalised colours as we played them back then. :)
