Absolutely love how this song features a piece from every Tiberium universe game: - the song obviously from CnC1, but also the Flame Tank and Mammoth in the front, - the 'Welcome back commander' is a nice nod to Tiberian Sun (NO PUN INTENDED) - the part in the middle is a lovely reference to the Act on Instinct from Kane's Wrath, it is sooo good We could just argue whether the Watchtower is from Dawn of Tib Wars, but either way, I love this song so much

The song and its composition/arrangement, the added sound effects and the voice lines, the art, the animations.... just freaking great, accenting everything that's so good with the legendary Command & Conquer games. I agree. At that time, games where still "niche" enough to be able to be edgy and to take risks to find innovation. It was a time of a LOT less greed ( publisher/CEO intervention and censorship) and a LOT more (almost freeflowing) creativity. I'm really glad the indy scene and many smaller studios, led to a revival of this awesome spirit tho!
I think it's mostly because the studios behind the games you love were small, like indie levels of small. Sure, they had publishers, but the publishers took a hands-off approach. FFW to now, and you've got EA, Activision, Ubisoft and Epic just buying up smaller studios.

It took me two or three rewatches to notice, yeah. Aside from a few details here and there (the collar is the most visible example), the image blends together fairly well. Enough that I mistook the BoN half for the rest of a GDI uniform in shadow.
@@chaosvolt Most people didn't look at the arms, so they miss the guy being in GDI/Nod fatigues. But the emblems are clearly visible on both arms. Though I wish people would use the Tiberian Sun era GDI emblem, it stands out much better than the Dawn/Wars one.

This is by far my favorite remix of 'Act on Instinct'. And yes, I know the Kane's Wrath one exists, thats great an all, but this is the classic with just the right amount of nostalgia and spice to revitalize a fantastic classic. Well done, you mad lad legend.

At age 4 I fell in love with Act on Instinct. Twenty years later I have heard many versions, remixes, so many ways artists and fans have Acted on Instinct. Thanks for being another one of them! The animation had me wanna play Renegade haha

One of the best remixes of one of the greatest songs of a video game soundtrack in history. I also love that the sound from the C&C3 Kane's Wrath remix is also incorporated in this one. I also dig the animation in the video. I had to reinstall the remaster and play again after hearing this.

This is on the level of Timothy Seals' Mechwarrior 2 remix. Truly amazing, and as someone who grew up with the series, I can safely say this is THE remix of Act on Instinct.
This is a very nice Act on Instinct remix, absolutely one of the best I've ever heard, if not the best. I especially like the C&C3-style second refrain... And, every time I listen to this, I get the chills for "Welcome Back, Commander." Very well arranged.

I agree, I appreciate the music that Frank made but his remakes are actually worse than even the originals. It seems like they are some wank off fantasy where he can pretend to be in Metallica or something, sounds harsh but it looks like that to me lol. For the short time I played of the remaster, (it kept crashing) I kept the classic soundtrack on because the remastered stuff just doesn't suit the game at all anymore. They did the same thing with Halo 2 over metalised everything. Maybe other people really like it but I prefer the sort of 90s/rock/techno mixture like the original. Have no idea what you would call that type of music xD
