I agree with Jim and Brian. Kane is a fixture of the Royal Rumble match. But Brian is right, Kane hasn’t been interesting since his 2003 feud with Shane leading to his Wrestlemania XX match with Undertaker. WWE does just roll him out because the people love him (me included) and seeing him is always a feel-good moment.

The “got ya” moment with Orton coming back was awesome and had me on the edge (didn’t mean the pun, but I’ll take it) of my seat. I think Jim just likes bashing the product. If ALL wrestling stopped production, what would Jim have to complain or talk about? I don’t want to hear about the Midnight Express or the Rock n Roll Express all the time. Hated Bobby Eaton-too-much and Ricky Morton’s hair as a kid. Don’t get why Jim thinks they’re the greatest. Probably because he worked with them. I find he only (most of the time) praises talent that he worked with or was around. But again, I do enjoy listening to him when he talks wrestling history or behind the scenes stuff. As a kid, The Rockers got me going because of how energetic and fast paced they were. I started losing interest in the technical stuff because it was “too slow” for me. The 90s changed everything. Culture was changing. Everything was “EXXXXTREEEEEEME” and more fast paced action. So wrestling changed with the times, Jim didn’t.

Corny I think you shot yourself in the foot by bringing up the 98 Rumble because take away Cactus, Austin & Rock, none of them made it to the very top in WWE.
Others had good careers and are legendary figures (Funk, Owen, Vader, Shamrock, Jarrett - I may have missed maybe 2 max), but Corny claimed it had no star power! The names listed equals 8, like I say I may have missed maybe 2, but that means there 20 mid card/jobbers in it.
Take a look at 2021's Rumble and you have Edge, Orton, AJ, Bryan, Rollins, Rey, Hardy and Miz (all former Heavyweight Champions), legends like Christian and Kane (both former heavyweight champions), Lashley and Big E (both probably future Heavyweight Champions), upper mid-card workhorses like Morrison, Sami and Ali. Now thats half the talent of the match and I haven't mentioned Riddle (shitty gimmick but he has legitimacy and can work), Xavier Woods (decent worker) and Damien Priest (potential).
