I played the first one in 2001 when I was a child, now I'm playing this with my daughter next to me and helping me solve the puzzles! Thank you Nintendo for the memories you're still creating for us. This game is a blast.

I didn’t look at the score before watching the video and the way he was talking it up sounded like he was gonna give it a way higher score than he did.
I thought that he was going to give it at least a 9.0 lol. His cons don't really take much away from the game.

Link's Awakening doesn't deserve a higher score than this game. The Zelda franchise is overrated apart from Breath of the Wild.

Kenneth you were making sense till the second half, OoT, Majoras Mask, twilight sword are all probably some of the best games nintendo has ever released next to Mario 64 and Odyssey

@@someoneelse5209 I have to admit that the 8.3 score shocked me a bit, especially how positive and enthusiastic the review was through the whole review. He said nothing but positive things about this game, and giving an odd score of 8.3 was a bit, well... odd. I mean how does one choose an 8.3 versus an 8.5 score, and why? It's dumb score regardless. Just give it an 8.5 for crying out loud lol

@@someoneelse5209 That's not the point. IGN and GameSpot both have made careers with using the number system and frankly it undermines anything that is said about the game. When people often criticize both of these sites for using the number system this is exactly why they need to stop using it. Or maybe it would be easier for them to just bring back the pros and cons cause at least people would be more understanding as why it got the score that it did.
Oni Master 8.3 is not a fantastic score. 9.3 would fit that description. I loved the first 2 games, so I don’t care what 1 individual reviewer thinks, but with so many games coming out right now, many potential buyers might not buy a game not getting a 9 or higher review score.

I've got this game early and playing it right now. I have to say this game is amazing. Graphics, music, gameplay everything is great. 9/10 from me.
How has Luigi's eyes not burned out of his skull from using the Virtual Boy?
He's got that death stare. VB wouldn't dare mess with him when he gives it the ol' stare
What kept me from giving it a 10 personally was that the game often flipped between reasonable creativity with levels and bosses and some that can only be guessed if you were a programmer on the game. Other than that, very fun

What's drawing me away is ironically how "fun" he makes it sound. He couldn't stop smiling in a spooky game? I kinda wanted more of a grim feel but I guess that's what Metroid is for. "Really fun" seems fitting for 8.3 in that regard.

To me this is a must own switch game. The only switch game I like more is Odyssey. This game looks awesome, plays fantastic and was just a blast. I recommend this game to everyone.

I’d really like to see a remaster of the original. One of my favorite games of all time, I’m likely going to buy and play this, but I’d definitely like to see one on the darker side like the original.

I miss the feel of the original Luigi’s mansion. Don’t get me wrong the newer games look great, but they don’t have that same eerie charm the original did
The original was from a different, more lenient era, where Luigi himself was implied to have some darkness inside of him. This part was completely ditched after the Wii era.
Justifying it, but yeah, completely agree. I miss that.

I also noticed how the ghosts don’t look like the human-like ones from the first. I’m guessing they did that because of the implied infant and child deaths from the first. Btw I never got to play Dark moon yet

I still haven't found a single bad review regarding a Nintendo game. The level of care and polish they put in every game is unbelievable. Seriously how can someone even compare Nintendo with other producers? The quality here is suuuuper high!!

I'm not really a big fan of any titles within the Mario universe, don't get me wrong they're great games I just don't connect with them that much however picking up this title I was immediately hooked by the aethestic, pace of play and brilliant animations it has to offer. I'd have to say it's one of my favorites in the Mario uni if not my favorite.
I don't appreciate the heavy spoilers in this review. I've been playing since release off and on and you're spoiling middle to end game stuff here that I haven't had the time to get to yet. A review should be limited to using footage of only the first few hours of game-play.
Kind of baffling how they gave this game a lower score than the score that Dark Moon got, considering this game fixes alot of jarring issues that Dark Moon had. (No mission based structure, portrait ghosts returning, E-Gadd not calling you every five seconds.)
Those graphics are 4 real most impressive graphics i have ever seen despite being switch game, it amazes me always how well nintendo can optimize their games

It's kinda like what happened with Persona 5. They barely said anything bad if nothing bad and they gave it like a 9.0 I think (I might be wrong I can't remember)

I haven't played the game, but I don't think that the gem locator would be that useless. One of my favorite parts of the first two Luigis Mansion games was finding the gems. I would spend my coins on the gem locators.

Thank you so much for pointing out that it can't invert the Y access. That alone would make it a no-buy for me, as for some reason my brain can't use controls otherwise.
It’s not much of an issue here really, you can use motion controls instead, it works rather well
I play inverted still from playing N64... Back then Nintendo inverted by default. I feel kind of betrayed

Also, I like the small but nice detail that the Luigi's grab in smash has the same sound as the suction shot in LM3

This game looks gorgeous, but I'm not gonna lie I kinda miss the eerie atmosphere from the first game.

I finished dark moon the other month and loved it. Didn't think I'd be more excited for LM3 over the newest Pokémon but here we are.

The first Luigi’s mansion is still the best. I don’t think I’ve seen the first one available for switch yet, I hope it’s available soon.
About a year ago they remade the original using the same engine they used for dark moon. Unfortunately, I don't think it will be coming to switch after being remade for the 3ds, especially so soon. :((

Opinions may very but this game is at least a 9 in my book. I’m super hard pressed to find a negative very much like this review however the score confuses me. This is by far one of the most beautiful games on the Switch.

I think that luigis mansion 3 should have a thing in e gadds lab where you can either reset a floor (where all money you have already collected doesn’t count) or reset a boss. In case you don’t understand what I mean by resetting a floor the best example would be boilerworks as if you enjoyed the swimming across the areas and solving the puzzles you can’t do it again unless you reset the full game (which might be annoying if you don’t enjoy the floors before the boilerworks)
IGN: this game is makes you FEEL like BATMAN.
I feel like a prop hunt would perfect for this games multiplayer. 2 ghost hunters v 2 ghosts hiding in objects. Looks fun to me either way.
I love Luigi's Mansion.
The problem is the at the end of the game, it doesn't safe the win! Also it leaves you at the rooftop save so you can't collect the rest of the boos or gems, I also wanted to go into the collection myself and see king boo in it!

Reviews just analyze games as something individual, of course you can compare some games, but the score doesn't mean anything at all between RDR2 and LM3
Awesome game and constantly having you do new/different things and puzzles, long campaign, local and online co-op, funny and entertaining story and characters 10/10

The first one is still the best one. It was more ominous even though it was cartoony. The colors weren't so saturated. It genuinely looked like an old dusty house
The original was so unique and fun with interesting ghosts and amazing attention to detail within the mansion itself. I find myself coming back to it over and over a again! I love it so much that I bought it again for the 2ds! I'm planning on getting the 3rd for Christmas, and I'm willing to bet it will exceed my expectations!

The back tracking was surprisingly fun for me considering how much I hated back tracking in dark moon but in this game backtracking is normally involved in introducing a new location, boss, or mechanic

Does anyone remember the Lost Vikings for SNES? You played these three Viking brothers, each with their own special abilities, kinda reminded me of how you use Luigi and Gooigi together to solve the puzzles.
I really loved how Nintendo didnt want to hide the fact that Virtual Boy failed and kept making it appear on games
Pretty fun especially since how bad Dark Moon was. It reminds me of the free roaming fun of the original. The humor is funny and the collectibles and return of the portrait ghosts make it great for a sequel to the original which is one of my favorite games ever. I’d probably give it an 8 so far as I haven’t finished it yet.
I would honestly rate it a 9, I just finished playing it and had so much fun, I already miss playing it

1. Gooiji when he tries climbing back up a steel staircase he cannot climb.
I don't know if Gooiji is supposed to do that. Please look into this and if it is a bug hope it will get patched soon. Thank you very much.

This game is such light hearted fun, I love this series!
I never played a Luigi's Mansion game before I picked this up on Halloween. I've never really been a huge fan of Mario/Luigi games(personally more of a Zelda/Pokemon guy), but after beating the game 100% I can say that it is a must-have on the Switch. Aside from the horribly frustrating boilerworks boss fight, and having to track Polterkitty down way too many times(both of which were the two negatives that the reviewer mentioned in the video), everything else in the game is super fun and charming. I found myself smiling and laughing a ton, all while enjoying so many fun and interesting new game mechanics and well designed levels. I can't wait to play the game again in Co-Op with someone else!
I have, like most of everyone on the internet, heard the memes talking about how IGN is awful and how their scoring policies make no sense whatsoever. Alas, there is a hint of truth to every meme.
