This is norm in the Philippines when they hang out. Before karaoke, someone always play guitar & someone always sings if not everyone in the group take turns in singing
❤ expect this to happen at every little gathering in the Philippines. I would love to see Josh and/or Lucas jamming with the locals like this in a few months! 🤭 I think i read in the comments once before, you barely scratched the surface of the singing capabilities of the Filipinos. Even our local police force and military have their own bands. Mga kabayans, subscribe kayo sa kanila para updated kayo sa activies nila…ang saya nila mag-react and they’re gonna be moving to the Philippines soon!!
That's the fun part in family/friend gatherings. We basically make a reason to sing in every karaoke whether that's inside the house, or at the side walk 😆. 🍋🦓
The Philippines is saturated with good singers. You REALLY need something extra special to make it in the industry. Sadly, a GREAT voice alone doesn't cut it sometimes. But I still love how that never stops Filipinos from singing. ❤
🍋🦓This song was originally sung by Dionne Warwick and her friends - Stevie Wonder, Elton John and Gladys Knight. I remember singing this song during our graduation ball.
This is normal in the Philippines. Small gatherings or any parties would be boring without karaoke haha. I'm sure you gonna experience this kind of party when you visit the Philippines because Filipinos are welcoming and hospitable. Thank you for always reacting about Filipino singers.:)
This song was famous back in the mid 80s. Sang by Elton John, Stevie Wonder, Dionne Warwick, Gladys Knight. It's an immortal song here in the Philippines.
In the SM store in my city, the employees are usually near the karaoke machine singing. It's probably to promote the products or something but I'm just really amazed by how good they sound every time.
I remember reading that they each have their own bands? Someone please correct me 🤔. I love how their voices are so distinctive. Each singer has is own style. 🥰🎵
Its part of an everyday routine in the Philippines, i had a vacation in the Philippines for 3 weeks, and im not kidding each day, especially in the evening after dinner we sing with karaoke. Its fun esp. while drinking.
Trivia: Some barangays(smallest political unit) in the Philippines have passed a law banning karaoke singing after 10 pm. Otherwise, Filipinos will continue on till wee hours of the morning. Singing is a way of life for us, we sing as we clean our homes, cook our meals, wash our laundry and it is a must to put babies to sleep.
Don't be so self-deprecating, Lucas. You are talented, with your own unique voice. And we do appreciate you guys, taking time to feature our Filipino talents and appreciating OPM. Thank you and kudos to you, Josh and Brad of course 😊🙂
Imagine how many people in Philippines having birthdays, wedding, christening and even funerals at the same time and doing karaoke at the same time.. filipino are great singers.. even just a simple gathering..
This is just normal in the Philippines. They are not practicing, they are just having a good time. Filipinos do the normal karaoke singing to enjoy with friends, families, relatives. This is normally done during Birthdays, Baptismal, any celebrations or just a normal days to play videoke to unwind & release stress, be happy & enjoy the day with families & friends. MUSIC serves as HEALING & HAPPINESS to Filipinos. LOVE & LIGHT!
I know you are still wondering why filipinos are so good at singing. Here's why, first, our tongue is so flexible that we can imitate any accent and so obviously, it's easier for us to follow the tone or tune or melodies. 2nd we have a good hot weather that helps us to bring our lungs out (belting) bec you know that winter affects your voice right? Since we never had snow here, our weather maintains our voices in shape. And Yes the 3rd would be the KARAOKE
Josh and Lucas, Lemuel Llamas is the first singer. When u come here, come in birthdays or fiestas you can experience that kind of kareoke singing. ❤🎶🇵🇭
I love seeing you watching random ordinary Filipinos singing. Since u will coming to Philippines you will get used to this in every hang outs with loads of friends!
In the US it’s weekend barbecues or dining out. In the Philippines it’s very common to drink with friends in houses and garages or backyards and karaoke either with occasion or just plain weekend. We could even do with a bluetooth mic and speaker and just play the karaoke via youtube. Almost always someone in the bunch knows how to sing.
They are just simply hanging out together as friends. So typical in Filipino gatherings. But I believe they are in a Band so they truly are professional singers/performers. ❤❤❤
Limuel is a amateur singer that is joining song contest in the philippines. even singing contest on television. but i'm not quite sure about his friends. Thank you for the genuine reaction and appreciation guys! kudos! :)
@6:41 no, don't retire your singing voice. It's actually the best place to improve your singing voice. Imagine having the license to sing just about anywhere! I personally think that's why talents like these are seemingly so common. They get so much practice!
They're my uncle's friends from different bands :) They're from Batangas City, Philippines. Watched them live and up close on my uncle's birthday, we're soooo hyped up!!! They are indeed performers!
🍋🦓 Filipinos love karaoke so much that the government had to put a curfew on its usage.😂😂😂 If I'm not mistaken, some cities can only sing karaoke up until 10pm🤣
🍋🦓 I bet if they saw this video they would be the ones who will invite you to hang out with them at their backyard. Love this, as usual. Can't wait for your official launch in the Philippines. Enjoy the SB19 Pagtatag concert in Dallas! 😊
If U both are wondering how this symmetry came about, usually, those of us who can sing naturally become friends. So they find themselves coming together often, especially during special occasions & events like what ur watching now.
This is just a normal party here, a party without videoke is not a party...... videoke rentals here are booming, every weekend you will hear a lot of party with videoke going on and be ready to your vocals and nobody cares also if you are bad in singing......and THAT'S how children here are trained and learned how to sing, they don't need schooling, children are listening, copying and imitating and building confidence in singing in videoke, this were started it all, the monster Filipino singers🤩🤩
it's funny how you were really wondering if they're in a group or just happened to be singers hanging out together when in fact this is quite norm every party in the philippines 😂. it's always that all of the sudden people who can sing starts coming out 😅
You guys should do that with your friends and record it just for fun. I did this when I used to live in Boston. I had a punk band in the living room and acoustic guitar/ sing along at the back porch. The back porch was packed. The police raided us due to the band being too loud. You could hear the band 8 blocks away & we didn't have a permit. 🤣🤣🤣🤣😂😂😂😂😂😂😜😜
When Filipinos hang out with their friends,, 100% they're drinking alcohol, it's just for fun and when they are drunk,, Their talent automatically comes out. So the karaoke is there😂😂😂😂 that's life in Philippines. A normal life😂
And these guys are mostly half-drunk. That's the miracle in karaoke in the Philippines. The alcohol kills all hesitation and people don;t care if they make a mess or create magic like this. I know coz my neighbors do this on every special occasion. You can tell the level of drunkness based on the performance.
🍋🦓 Thanks for exploring your time to Filipino talents. For sure, you will never run out of videos to react on Filipino's alone, we have tons of undiscovered singers here on our country. God bless your team.
Lemuel(buckethat) has a local band. The ponytail also sings and i'm guessing the other 2 has experience being in a local band. That's what I think, and you would hear their own styles. We filipinos love to sing. We sing whenever wherever we can and we dont care if we are bad and music just loved us in return i guess. One of my korean students asked me why filipinos are good at singing and performing without even trying hard. I told her because we are exposed to that as young as grade school. I mean your grade depends on your performance are you still going to shy away? If the teacher said you have to sing, dance or act, just motherforking do your best to get an A.😂
It seemed that there will be another scenario like this with Limuel (the first to sing) soon. Josh, Lukas and Brad will be there.Thank you for your reaction. 🍋🦓 You mentioned before that there's something in the water we drink, there's some on that table😜

That’s what friends are for was popularized by Dionne Warwick but I think the Temptations originated the song. In case you didn’t know Karaoke was actually invented by a Filipino inventor. Karaoke is the training ground for most singers in the Philippines.
That is right, people here are so used to singing like that that it became the norm. I can sing those songs and my dad sing most slow rock 80's songs. The standard goes up as well here.
