Thanks for watching 💙 Here’s my jumpstart singing lesson on Singr for those who want to learn - appreciate you hanging with me on YT 🙏🏼 singr.tv/justin
Come to the Philippines where we eat singing for breakfast, lunch, dinner, and snacks! :D Or you could make friends with Filipinos here in the US to get invited to our jamming (aka karaoke singing).
I'm an American, married to a Filipina, living in the Philippines, and this "type" of singing session is very common (almost nightly). IT's either us, or our neighbors, and it's NOT disturbing, but entertaining. If it's our neighbors, we get to listen to "free music and singing". Granted not ALL Filipino's can sing this well, but many of them can!
@@raymondaddun6762 Tks for the welcome, but I've been living here longer than many Filipino's have been alive (off and on over 35 years), and now full-time for the last 7 years, so I know their "culture" very well! But tks!
I was in Cambodia earlier this year, and a Filipino band was playing at a brewery in Phnom Penh. My friend told me to request one of my favorite songs, Summer of 69. I did, and they absolutely crushed it, and it's not an easy song to sing.
I'm a Filipino American, and I've been going to the Philippines ever since I was 5 and I'll give you guys a little secret. This isn't a Kareoke bar. This is just a family or friends house that they go to often just to hang out. As this place may be far from the city, it's easier to just hang out and drink at family/friends homes and have a go on the Kareoke machine. Proud Filipino here.
In a Filipino group of friends there's always that one friend who always said "I'm not good at singing" but can hit the highest note and basically have the voice of an angel
I went to manila just last month, I remember riding a bus with my sister. The very normal radio music on and people was just vibing with it. And then I heard a man singing his heart out to a Michael Bolton song and man he can sing! No one interrupted him. Wow, indeed only in the Philippines!
The funny thing is this is just a normal friends and family gathering in the Philippines. We Filipinos make sure to perform well because after the song ends, a digital score form the karaoke will determine how good our performance was. HAHAHAHA
Funfact: In Philippines, Birthday, Christmas, New Years, Graduation Celebration, Reunion, Beach Vacation, Festivals, Bar, Arcades in Mall and any occasion they will never forget their happiness without the Karaoke 🎤
Justin come in the philippines.. and witness the greatness singing every filipino. We dont need vocal coach. All we need is karaoke only. 😁 Have a good day justin
It’s not even in a bar. Its either a birthday celebration, a town feast or just a normal get together of friends and families. Karaoke/Videoke is a must have in every celebration in the Philippines. Thank you for appreciating our talents. 😊🙏🏻
They're my uncle's friends from different bands :) They're from Batangas City, Philippines. Watched them live and up close on my uncle's birthday, we're soooo hyped up!!! They are indeed performers!
The ‘Karaoke Bar’ is actually just somebody’s front porch or garage where relatives and friends (extended families) hang out, eat, drink, play poker or mahjong, and sing the night through
It's just a typical Filipino gathering with friends and family. It often starts with a sumptuous dinner and then the hosts start preparing the karaoke machine either inside or outside their house and everybody starts drinking and singing and having a good time until the wee hours of the morning. I grew up experiencing this with my parents, the whole family and with my friends. Gahhh! I miss my childhood. Fun times! 😊
Lemuel has his own band. They are all good singers really. Normal night in the Philippines. 😂. No Birthday party, Christmas party or any simple celebration without karaoke. 😂.
Once, I was in a coffee shop buying latte & heard soft music playing on a small radio & hum with it and lady on the counter asked if I was Filipino because we were all good singers according to her. 😁😁😁 I’m from landownunder.
For everyone living in the Philippines, legit it's every night. Theres always those best friends everyone knows sing well, and you should totally try singing karaoke here during a fiesta XD Also this group is a band! You should really go and check them out, too!
Actually it's not in a Karaoke Bar, it's just in front of the house of one of them, it's a normal day in the Philippines, You can sing anywhere and everywhere if you want to, nobody will get angry with you, it's our culture already, whether you have a good voice or not, Thank you for appreciating Filipinos, God bless you Justin,
Even doing household chores, seating on a bench with friends, or even just walking in the streets hahaha, we just love to sing! That is what we Filipinos are😁
Please do come to our country and experience our craziness in singing lol. Don't worry Filipinos are warm and friendly people. We love to see you here in our simple but beautiful countty. Thanks for always reacting Filipino talents.
You'd be surprised that most of these occur in almost every Filipino household. And from what I can see in this video, this is most likely someone's home because this is literally what my grandpa's house looks like where all of the uncles and aunts start belting for fun lol
In case you didn't know: Some places here in the Philippines have created laws for singing. Like a curfew for karaoke. Like they can only sing karaoke up to 10pm to give consideration to those who are sleeping. But during those times past 10pm they usually still continue singing, but no more karaoke nor mic as per law, just acapella or with a guitar. Where else in the world do you have a law for karaoke?
Thanks for appreciating the Filipino friends singing together . It’s all over the country, in every city, towns, villages and in any restaurants, bars, malls, any occasion, or no occasion, or just a small corner convenient store that has a karaoke machine, you will hear singing Filipinos everywhere. No age limit. Turn the machine, and start singing. Foreign songs or Filipino songs. It’s our way of life. Singing is always been part of who Filipinos are. Thank you.
you know why THIS is so awesome? its bcos they sing and have nothing but PURE FUN doing it... there is no must, no fear, no stress, its only DESIRE and passion.... + its bcos no one will pay them money they depend on for this lol.... simply said - its bcos they love music and singing - so when you listen to them - its kinda that you can clearly hear their heart been poured out (and the soul came right after lol) 💜💜👍🤩🤭🤭 filipinos are used to do this karaoke thing - they kinda grow up with so its eventually also a positive fact, bcos it dont makes them nervous at all - just bcos they so used to it hehe... Limuel Llanes & Friends, ang galing galing!!!!!👍👏👏
The secret is in the diaphragm. . . Our language makes us draw breath from the diaphragm to speak. . . That's why most of us Filipinos sing pretty well. . .
Makes not much sense. Most languages also have sounds that come from the diaphragm. I think the perfect answer to this problem is that here we have a BIG karaoke culture.
We are proud to say every single Filipino can sing maybe not as good as all you've known but in times of occassions there comes the karaoke and we bond as family by singing together.👌🤗😍❤
With or without occasion we Filipino love to sing.... I maybe miles away from my country but every weekend I sing in room alone or with some friends. Singing is one of my way to relieve stress❤️😊
I live in Cebu City Philippines. karaoke bars are all over the Philippines by the thousands, and many houses have a Karaoke Machine whether in the city, villages, mountains or jungles. They randomly sing at the Mall, etc. Incredible singers that would knock your socks off, like some 17 year old girl singing Whitney Houston, Mariah Carey, etc. Many of the top vocalists in the world, like Morissette Amon, known as the Asian Phoenix or Queen Mori, come from the Philippines. Try her live Wish Bus cover performance of "Rise Up", or her original live Wish Bus performance of Akin Ka Na Lang (150M views), or Wish Bus "Will You Stay" to name only a few.
one forgotten legend is Sheryn. Damn her singing technique and voice didnt plummet despite being out of the lime light for almost a decade. and yep, she is from cebu as well.
LOL. Nice reaction. The guy with the pony tail has a voice like Arnel Pineda of Journey. Smooth, powerful. Knows when to pull the mic away, sing soft or wail, as you say. Tho... They all have great voices.
"Wailing" has been a part of Filipino daily life from early on being a kid to being a grown up. Most (if not some) Filipinos with good singing voices are generally loud, outspoken people. But, you'll never know they're good till they grab the mic and rip it at the karaoke. :) Glad to see "kababayans" getting recognized and praised by influencers like you my good sir.
Always remember that a lot of Filipino singer can reach a high notes and Videoke is part of a Filipino culture. Singing is one of the Filipinos way to ease the stress and tiredness. ❤️
Please do come. Preferably in December because we have the longest Christmas celebration in the world. Many households have their own karaoke machine. I know that many Filipinos are wonderful singers but not all. But there's always a family member (or two, maybe three) who are really good. Come and enjoy our singing culture.
So happy to see this thing, which is a regular occurence whenever there's a party either at home or anywhere. It's become part of our culture that is recognized globally. Some would even jokingly say "don't give a Filipino a microphone". .
Reason why many Filipinos can sing... It's the KARAOKE babyyyyy.. this is an everyday thing, at every corner, every neighbor, you will never miss it. Somewhere, Someone is doing Karaoke... And btw this isn't a bar, this is a party like a birthday in a house, sometimes not even you just randomly have a karaoke night with friends or family. Every house in the Philippines have a karaoke set. If not, a microphone will do. 🎤♥️🥰
Yes, Justin. You have to experience the Karaoke in the Philippines. It’s really fun and good time for bonding with family, friends, relatives. Go,go,go.😊
YES they do this all the time. It is not in a Bar, its neighbors house. I came to USA when I was 7, lived here in CAlifornia for 50 years now BUT when I went back after 45 years almost ALL my cousins play musical instruments and some can sing really well. They sound Tagalog so it may be in northern area. I am from Iloilo Province, Western Vizayas region, The Philllipines.
I’m not shocked. Last time I was in Cebu, PHIL my friend stopped at a tiny, pay per minute karaoke “booth” in the middle of Seaside Mall to sing a couple songs. Then we went bowling. All Filipinos love to sing (extremely well)….YES, go to PHIL. It will change your life for the better.
You’ve got to see the Listen mic sharing challenge. It’s unbelievably good. I’m Filipino but sadly have not been graced with a beautiful voice like my fellow countrymen. GO TO THE PHILIPPINES 🇺🇸💕🇵🇭
Hahahahaha. Best part is they've probably been drinking steadily as this looks like a party. Hahahaha. Hey Justin, as the slogan of the country says, "It's More Fun In The Philippines " and this is at someone's house.
*Can everybody wail in the Philippines?* No. *Will they try anyway?* Hell yes. There isn't anything special in the water. I think this is just a combination of skill and culture. As you always say, singing is a skill that you hone. When you're in a country where singing is part of the culture, you get A) more people who can discover that natural/latent talent and B) people who have had more practice at it. So you get more "regular" people doing crazy singing in "regular" life situations. 😂 Think of it like the Spartans and soldiering. Occasionally, lives are also at stake at the karaoke bar. Lol.
Im happy and laughing watching your reaction sir. Thank you for your appreciation to my kababayan singing in a karaoke. Thats normal in the philippines. ❤.
a filipino here. this is a regular gathering in between friends and family in the Philippines. they're most likely just in their own house and rented and old karaoke machine (karaoke machine is a must for house parties) At first not many will want to sing cos 'we're shy 😂' but once people started drinking beer no one cares anymore and everyone sings until morning lol. san mig or red horse beer. red horse if you want people to really belt it out.
hi justine. im your fan since forever. you dont have to go to a club or somewhere. all you need to have is a neighbor having a past time drinking session . ☺️
Im from the Philippines 🇵🇭🇵🇭🇵🇭🙌🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻 thanks for making reaction of our fellow pilipino. By the way sir you look like ny idol ACTOR MR. TOM CRUISE. We sing natural voice when we are in the karaoke 🎤. Keep safe
I have so.much fun watching you react on Limuel lanes and friends singing over food and beer. Yes, go the the Philippines. Every home has a singing machine. No matter how the life status is.
You better go to our country Philippines to experience karaoke. I really enjoy watching this video remind of my friends. They are amazing singers & fun to watch.
When you want to go to the philippines, make sure its FIESTA... every houses has there own or rentes a Kareoke machine... and you can just sing along with them...🥰
Well..it is karaoke..very typical for Filipino gatherings..you have to remember that for us singing is just a big part of what we do for fun or bonding. Not everyone will be able to belt it out but most can because we love singing. Good voice or not, singing makes people happy. Sometimes it isnt the actual voice that makes it impressive..it ia the feelings/emotions we put in it.

exactly
Majority of Filipinos sing very well. I belong to the 2%. I don't have a nice voice, but I have a deadly vocal technique. I called it CONFIDENCE.💚
More red horse, more confidence
believe it or not that 2% is still good compare to others just needs to sing more and it willl get there.
I am one of the 2% too😅
Im with you, 🤣🤣🤣🤣 were 6 siblings only me can't sing.
You need to teach me that vocal technique of yours 🤣🤣🤣

True, I got 100 score a few times by singing in vediokee, I feel so happy.
plus the redhorse hahahah
Hahha well trained from hulog hulog in the Vedioke before we have our own karaoke at home
Sayang din kase coins pag 68 LNG score 🤣🤣🤣🤣
Yeah. Those scores are fuckin bogus. I get 100 with my shitty voice on my worst song and 70-80s on my best song. WTF bruh.
When Filipinos are born, we don't cry, we sing. and when the time is right, we eat musical notes for breakfast, lunch and dinner.
I didn't get the memo. 😂
Bakit maling nota ata nakain ko .😂😂
Anu daw
Loooove thiiiis!!!!!😂😂😂
Mapili ako sa pagkain kaya hndi ako nakakain ng mga nota na pinapakain sa akin nun.😅😅😅
I'm a musician who lives here in the PH. What I noticed is that in every family there's at least one member who can sing.

Sa sobrang pagka proud ko as a filipino, naiiyak nalang ako😅
GAGO SAPALIN KITA JAN EH PROUD PINOY KA NNMN
You’ve got to see the Listen mic sharing challenge. It’s unbelievably good. I’m Filipino but sadly have not been graced with a beautiful voice like my fellow countrymen. GO TO THE PHILIPPINES 🇺🇸💕🇵🇭
Hahahahaha. Best part is they've probably been drinking steadily as this looks like a party. Hahahaha. Hey Justin, as the slogan of the country says, "It's More Fun In The Philippines " and this is at someone's house.
lasingan na....🤣🤣🤣
*Can everybody wail in the Philippines?* No.
*Will they try anyway?* Hell yes.
There isn't anything special in the water. I think this is just a combination of skill and culture. As you always say, singing is a skill that you hone. When you're in a country where singing is part of the culture, you get A) more people who can discover that natural/latent talent and B) people who have had more practice at it. So you get more "regular" people doing crazy singing in "regular" life situations. 😂 Think of it like the Spartans and soldiering. Occasionally, lives are also at stake at the karaoke bar. Lol.
Yeah try singing "My way" off key and people die lol.
@@Avian07 i agree...many actually died because of this... it's not a funny thing to say but it's certainly peculiar
Im happy and laughing watching your reaction sir. Thank you for your appreciation to my kababayan singing in a karaoke. Thats normal in the philippines. ❤.
Are Filipino super talented and I proud I am one of them..I am proud as a Filipino
a filipino here. this is a regular gathering in between friends and family in the Philippines. they're most likely just in their own house and rented and old karaoke machine (karaoke machine is a must for house parties) At first not many will want to sing cos 'we're shy 😂' but once people started drinking beer no one cares anymore and everyone sings until morning lol. san mig or red horse beer. red horse if you want people to really belt it out.
hi justine. im your fan since forever. you dont have to go to a club or somewhere. all you need to have is a neighbor having a past time drinking session . ☺️

In Philippines we don't need vocal couch, we only need rum to unleash our singing talent..

Singing is just a hobby for us😁😅 proud filipina here✋ 🇵🇭
That's right brother Filipinos love singing it's our way of relaxing.
