We pulled up to the EB and it looks almost dangerous...then you walk in and it is dark...then turn to the right and OMG...great machines. Lots of machines. Could not be a better place.
Amazing that you need to know it order to decide to go in.
I got to meet and hang out with Cale at the media day... super cool dude and he really knows how to play. He has a unique stance while playing pinball and he can blow up a game. Got to chat with him at enterium as well.

Interesting story about JJP being in denial about the return on their machines for operators. I also wonder about maintenance - Avatar has 6 flippers and about 2000 solenoids, holes to get chipped, no ‘cliffy’s’ etc.
Insider Connected might be a stroke of genius from Stern. Is that what drives more plays? Leaderboards, achievements, and badges? Or are JJP also just less fun to shoot? You definitely can’t appreciate the lighting, sound etc on location.

Good stuff! Cale and Rachel have done a good enough job at advertising, that I want to schedule a weekend trip to AZ just to play at the Electric Bat! Great feedback and thoughts from Cale. To use videos games as an analogy to describe my feelings: Sterns feel like Action games (energetic and high octane) and JJPs feel like RPGs (mostly chill and adventurous). I like playing Sterns on location for that high action feeling, leaderboard chasing, and easy to pick up and play experience. I love playing the JJPs at home where I have the time to learn about the game and a quiet and appropriately lit environment to better experience the journey with little external distractions.

Jack (from JJP) has always struck me as an out of touch person who doesn't seem to know nearly as much about the pinball scene as he seems to say. What he said to Cale almost confirms that to me. Straight up disrespectful and a terrible look for the 'leader' of JJP.

The video also provides details not always included in the discussion. However, your commitment to keeping audio only gives you the broadest reach and makes offline engagement less complex.

Its possible Jersey Jack is not customer or operator friendly, and more interested in sales to distributors. Wonder why?
