Interesting story about JJP being in denial about the return on their machines for operators. I also wonder about maintenance - Avatar has 6 flippers and about 2000 solenoids, holes to get chipped, no ‘cliffy’s’ etc. Insider Connected might be a stroke of genius from Stern. Is that what drives more plays? Leaderboards, achievements, and badges? Or are JJP also just less fun to shoot? You definitely can’t appreciate the lighting, sound etc on location.

Jack (from JJP) has always struck me as an out of touch person who doesn't seem to know nearly as much about the pinball scene as he seems to say. What he said to Cale almost confirms that to me. Straight up disrespectful and a terrible look for the 'leader' of JJP.

Its possible Jersey Jack is not customer or operator friendly, and more interested in sales to distributors. Wonder why?

Good stuff! Cale and Rachel have done a good enough job at advertising, that I want to schedule a weekend trip to AZ just to play at the Electric Bat! Great feedback and thoughts from Cale. To use videos games as an analogy to describe my feelings: Sterns feel like Action games (energetic and high octane) and JJPs feel like RPGs (mostly chill and adventurous). I like playing Sterns on location for that high action feeling, leaderboard chasing, and easy to pick up and play experience. I love playing the JJPs at home where I have the time to learn about the game and a quiet and appropriately lit environment to better experience the journey with little external distractions.

I think the biggest reason why Stern is being played more than Jersey jack is INSIDER CONNECT. No joke I’ve been to pinball bars on free play and I played stern ALL NIGHT and there were multiple Jersey jack games on site. JJ need to get their own insider connect type thing.

We pulled up to the EB and it looks almost dangerous...then you walk in and it is dark...then turn to the right and OMG...great machines. Lots of machines. Could not be a better place. Amazing that you need to know it order to decide to go in.

I’ve decided to preorder the X-Men LE. My biggest hope is that they integrate some of the theme music from the animated series like they did in parts of the gameplay video. I agree that the draining was concerning but honestly, I think they were just screwing around/not focusing on the gameplay that much during the video, which was unfortunate. My first non-Stern was Spooky’s Halloween. I just loved the lighting, the film integration and the music. That said, I definitely had some issues with quality control right out of the box. One of the flippers on the upper miniature playfield was out of alignment. Also, I was disappointed to read that the powder coating had a tendency to wear quickly, so I immediately clearcoated it when I found that out. Then, very much to my surprise, the main PC unit died and had to be replaced by me. Customer support was great for all of these things, but it definitely made me concerned about quality on non-Sterns. I bought a Stern Godzilla premium new and never had any issues with it. Next, I was persuaded to try a Godfather CE by Jersey Jack. It just looked too beautiful to pass up. Once again, there were problems with it right out of the box. After some long drawn out troubleshooting with their customer support, we discovered that two of the color-coded wire connections did not correspond to the wires they were supposed to connect. The Godfather machine is the most beautiful one in my collection, but the shots are not that interesting in my opinion. Also, as you pointed out, the lack of Insider Connected hurts other companies. Another point I wanted to make about the cost of the Stern LE being $12,999 is that that does not include the topper which will undoubtedly be another 1-2K depending on how cool they make it. So if you consider the Stern LE with a $2000 topper, you have the same cost as the CE for the Jersey Jack. Anyway, thanks Ralph for your insightful videos.

You don’t have to be an Avatar fan to enjoy the game. Played it Sunday at the Belles tournament and it was so fun and challenging. I can’t wait to play it again. Go find and play it.

Maybe the Stern game that is a little behind schedule is Predator? I mean there is a teaser when you play "Jurassic Park" that says "Get to the chopper"

Insider connected has changed everything. Only Stern for me until other companies develop something similar. I own two non Stern games and almost never play them.

Avatar at the Rocky Mountain Pinball Showdown was awful ! Balls getting stuck everywhere sunken playfield was broke 😅 plus its Avatar 😂 if you like Avatar coool 👍
