Thanks for sharing. For everyone's possible potential complaints, the factory remains it's a miracle there are pinball machines being made in 2024 that are at the level that they are at and now with new designers and customers. Thanks, Stern.
This was incredibly interesting to listen to. The ideas behind IC connected being used to store info for what people consistently seem to go for and what not is something I hadn't thought of, but makes sense. Also, discussing about how they really need to start trying to broaden the market of who's interested in these games, sure seems like hiring Jack Danger (a streamer) was a big step, and obviously getting newer/more relevant IP for machines. So cool to see the business side of all this
@@undanny they could increase the market by not using the cheapest components possible , the crappiest ply wood and screen printing that looks like it's been done on a $20 inkject printer. Once they have done that they could go back to using through hole components and providing a schematic .
Thanks for taking the time to share your thoughts unDanny. I do like the business side and I found this to be a great presentation. I learned a lot about the inner process and thought process over at Stern.
Even More excited for my Xmen LE after seeing this and Stern owning the fact that the start of the stream was weak and that the music etc..needs to be improved. I was actually shocked by the honesty that most companies today shy away from in their responses from various communities
That is awesome you have one ordered! Gary did mention that they are still working on the new title and that it would be shipping as soon as possible. This got me more stoked to play it as well!
Stern does a very nice job of upgrading initial code. I bought a Jaws LE, dropped it due to negative community comments about early presentation/code and then repurchased it. So glad I did as it is an awesome game! I bought an X-Men LE but was a little disappointed with the Live Stream (music, etc). Gary put my mind at ease about not dropping my X-Men LE as it will be epic with code updates. I noticed a number of people did drop X-Men LE however after the Live Stream as Distributers who were "out of stock" now have it available again. I would grab the LE while you can. Jaws LE is now hard to find.
Thanks for the input Mr Video. In this video Gary explains a bit about his thought process of releasing LE, Premium, and Pro and code updates. I would love to have an LE Uncanny X-Men (or LE Jaws …. Even any Jaws) for my collection. Time will tell but I think keeping your LE order will be a wise move
Naw I never received the first Jaws LE - just asked my Distro to cancel the order. I then ordered it again from a different Distro as I thought the game did have potential.
If they want to expand the market, casual players need more of an “in.” Right now the product caters very much to competitive players and it’s not very fun for casuals. I would suggest a way to turn on a “practice mode” that would allow players to select which game mode or level they would like to play, and exclude that from high scores. That would allow for more variety in game play and wouldn’t change anything for competitive players.
Hi Roca, thanks for your input. Many games offer different levels of game difficulty in the operator menu screens, or sometimes you can hold down both flippers before starting a game to access"tournament mode". The new Jws pinball machine even has different game versions that can be selected at the beginning. I do enjoy competitive pinball play, but I do like to teach brand new players on older machines with simple rule sets.
2024 and still dimly lit projector seminars with headphone audio level stereo? Cut out the promo videos we've already seen and this presentation is quite good.
The seminar before this one ran long in the Q&A section so it was less than 2 minute set up time for Gary to talk. Only audio for the promo videos was from the little speaker inside the projector. For a handful in attendance it was their first time seeing the promo videos so i understand that they wanted to show them. Would have been cool to see the promo video with a great big screen and rocking audio for first time viewers. Thanks for your input PinballZine! ❤
@@pinheadjohnny5190 Yeah, the theme or art means nothing to me either and I despise Disney but the audio and gameplay is miles more fun. It's one of those games that are actually fun and not like chopping wood.
X-Men doesn’t look good in my opinion. Avatar looks better but I think they are both way overpriced. That x-men live stream was a total dumpster 🔥. Someone should be fired. A lot of people dumped their preorders. Also Prices are coming down. You can see it in the secondary market especially on Pinside. This video is very informative thanks for posting.
Thanks for checking out this video and sharing your thoughts ginbizz. Price is Price as they say. I did not see the livestream but I will have to check it out. In this video Gary does mention the livestream did not go as planned but they have learned from it.
The only problem with the Xmen livestream was they cut it off before ANYONE had a Decent Game. Drain city for 50 minutes. Keep playing even if takes 2 hours!

We are certainly blessed that Stern is making new machines at the pace they are doing so.

The X-Men looks amazing.
I agree. Stoked to play x-men. I like the theme and the unusual features

You bought, sold and then re-bought a game because the code wasn’t there and what comments were online?? Holy shit. 😂😂😂😂 Now THAT’S what I call humor!

Um Gary Stern is here in Colorado and rides a motorcycle? Need to get a local game on location with him then go for a cruise.
No doubt!

"Demographic is very white male". For gods sake please just give it a rest
They want to sell pinball machines to more people. It’s strictly an economic decision so it makes perfect sense to expand the market.
@@Roca891 exactly. I'm starting a big push to sell more afro combs to white males
The Simpsons Pinball Party is the best game Stern will ever make, period!!
It was cool to see Gary be so proud of The Simpsons Pinball Party. I hope the best is yet to come!
Tron is miles better game, you must be a cartoon fan.
