I’d suggest the most beautiful of all. I used to see them flying into Lasham airfield, near Reading, England for maintenance in 1962/3. Our gliding club shared the runway. Magical sights….
I flew on a TWA Connie from Chicago to LA in 1958 with my mom and brother. I was 8. On that flight in first class was Lassie (yea that Lassie the dog) and her owner. My brother , who was 6, and I were taken up to first class to meet her. That was my first time on a plane and nothing has topped it since. LOL. Air travel today - A nightmare! Thanks for posting this.
When my dad returned from the Korean War he had ride on a TWA Connie from Wake Island. Love the way he side slipped this approach intercepting the runway final and greased the landing.
Have been waiting to see this! Beautiful, grand entrance up there. Standing by with random orbital polisher and / or lots of elbow grease once you make it down to San Antonio!! Happy to help!😊
You never forget your first love...flew her in 1967...I was 5...Burbank to Oakland California. The Beatles released Yellow Submarine in theaters. Such beautiful lines, and what a noisy smoky racket on startup. The best 3 engined prop liner ever built (so the joke goes)...
Ive seen the "Save a Connie" fly, as well as the MATS Connie, both many years ago. Glad the U.S. has one back in the air again! Just visited a static C-121 earlier today at Dover AFB. Such a elegant gal!
As a kid growing up my grandmother always flew down to Florida on this Queen. I was in awe then and still am at 69. She is a absolute beauty of the skies. Thanks for posting this video
@@NoTaboos It was generally recognised to be so, because of its elegant lines and technical achievements. I was recently reading a “Flypast” magazine and it made the reference, but it’s not the opinion of everyone I’m sure. Lockheed have made some beautiful looking aircraft in their time, maybe the SR71 was the “King of the skies” ….that’s for you to decide
@@leddyzee247 Well, I guess the 1649 was the most elegant of the family (better than the 749 in this video). The Concorde is perhaps the most beautiful object ever designed by humans.
@@NoTaboos I should have started my first comment with ”Some” say…..Just out of interest, the aviation artist Phillip E West did a painting of Concorde called “Queen of the skies” which is worth a look.
Love this plane. Knew an ol' boy by the name of Mel Christler who owned a few Connies back in the '70s. One of them turned out to be Columbine II, President Eisenhower's plane, which was later restored.
@@NoTaboos I’ve been on both and the concord isn’t even close to the lines of the Connie’s, I spent over twenty five years working military aircraft and know a quality aircraft.
Looks like OSH23 was a great show this year, I was going to go but I ended up going to North Carolina for something else. I will be at airventure next year. If I went this year it would’ve been my fourth time going. First time was in 2019 then 2021 and 2022.
Que maravillosas imágenes. No solo muestran el vuelo del avión, sino que le diste vida mostrándonos detalles de su cercanía, a lo lejos, el aterrizaje, su paso. Fue como verlo. Felicitaciones. 👍👍🇨🇱 What wonderful images. They not only show the flight of the plane, but you gave it life by showing us details of its proximity, in the distance, the landing, its passage. It was like seeing it. Congratulations. 👍👍🇨🇱
Nice work! Were you in Media Stand D, located at the approach end of runway 36? I was signed up to shoot there on Friday, but had to leave before the airshow started to catch a flight.
It’s a tragedy that Lufthansa scrapped their plans to restore their Connie. I’ve read they were making excellent progress when management cancelled the whole project.
One of, if not the most beautiful airliners ever built.
I’d suggest the most beautiful of all. I used to see them flying into Lasham airfield, near Reading, England for maintenance in 1962/3. Our gliding club shared the runway. Magical sights….
The really good designs, they not only fly great, they're graceful as well. The "Connie" is one of them.
That thing just screams beauty. Such iconic lines
That Connie is specifically Gen. MacArthur's personal transport plane, named "Bataan", that was just refurbished in Chino, CA.

That was back in the days of air travel when you had the expensive seats, coach, and the really expensive seats, 1st Class.
Great video of this superb airplane. The restoration took 8 years ! First flight was in june, 2023.
By far the most elegant aircraft ever produced
The quality of this vid needs to be applauded. Just about as perfect a short vid using zoom that I've seen. And what a plane to feature... Thanks.
One of the most beautiful aircraft ever made. A friend of mine flew in a “Connie” when it was used as a Hurricane Hunter.
WOW, Just WOW!! it has been a very long time since I've seen a Connie flying!
Most beautiful propliner ever. Wonderful approach and landing.
One of the most beautiful aircraft ever constructed . Thanks for this vid.
Yes an absolute beauty and the sound when it did a fly by was awesome
When my dad returned from the Korean War he had ride on a TWA Connie from Wake Island. Love the way he side slipped this approach intercepting the runway final and greased the landing.
I was hired by TWA in April, 1965 as a Connie First Officer.A great aircraft in which to start a 35 year job.
Great vid! The Connie is without a doubt the most beautiful aircraft ever produced. There's just nothing comparable.
Awesome. My parents flew to Holland in one back in the day.
Fantastic video work!!!!! Amazingly beautiful aircraft from an era where the flight meant more than the destination.
Absolutely beautiful airplane-- --they sure do not "rumble" like that anymore!
The most elegant aircraft ever to grace the skies!
Magnificent; the most beautiful plane ever at Oshkosh👍
It's about time! Better late than never.😂........ Nice vid. Thanks for posting. 🤩
Truly art in motion, wonderful that there's now two flying again. Hoping to see the Breitling one fly again - maybe??

Beautiful aircraft and oh that sound !!!
Yeah, that's not the first time that pilot landed a large airplane. Kuddos to the person filming this video. Well done 👍.
I was remarking to myself how "dainty" it was being handled, very light.
Absolutely one of the most beautiful airplanes ever designed.
Wow! What an incredible aircraft! Beautiful!
WOW, the people that had a hand in this design were truly artistic.
Same man who designed the Blackbird
WHAT A SEXY PLANE! Hope it's still there Saturday when I'm there!
One word to describe this aircraft, PERFECT.
Incredible to see one flying, what a beautiful airplane. Great video.
As a kid growing up my grandmother always flew down to Florida on this Queen. I was in awe then and still am at 69. She is a absolute beauty of the skies. Thanks for posting this video
00:15 If that flyby didn't send shivers down your spine then... you're dead.
They say Concorde was the Queen of the skies, this must be her older sister. Truly a beautiful aircraft, thank you for posting.
Who are they?

All 4 engines perfectly synchronized too....
One beautiful plane.I got a chance to check to check out the one president Eisenhower used, very limited space inside, beautiful outside….
Plane was being restored in Chino, CA. It's Macarthur's connie. I have some images of it still under wraps shortly after paint if you'd like them
That is one beautiful aircraft.
Well.......there's the highlight of show....Thanks.....MM
What a epic way to arrived
Absolutely beautiful!👍
That is one beautiful aircraft!
The connie and the concord, the two most beautiful aircraft ever made. Two works of art!
I remember flying in a Connie to Puerto Rico in early 60’s.
Great job filming! Hopefully she stays through Saturday! We’ll be there Sat and Sun!
The C121 Constellation is certainly a beautiful, classic aircraft!
That's the most beautiful thing I've seen all day....

The lady of the sky.
Well done to all bringing this beautiful plane back to life.
It was stunning!!
Imagine this beauty actually flew passengers from Sydney to London.
The Connie is still the most beautiful airliner ever built, and probably ever will be built.
The really good designs, they not only fly great, they're graceful as well. The "Connie" is one of them.
Traveled on TWA from DC to Dayton ,OH on one of these when I was 8. It was very special!
So amazing!
What a gorgeous airplane.
What a sight.
Some great camera work there.
Es un avión muy hermoso. Qué hermosura de avión. Is such a beautiful airplane. That airplane is so beautiful.
Flew on one as a child in the early 50s. It's perhaps my earliest memory.
Very nice plane. I appreciate these old rich guys with their expensive toys that they can share with everyone.
The definition of stream lined in the dictionary. I thought the F22 and F15 E were buitifull till I just saw this.
Best looking aircraft ever built
That would be the Concorde.

GLORIOUS!
Just seen that exact aircraft in Aurora Oregon last week getting some work done on it at Aerometal

Great shot of how long the nose gear is.
bloody fucking brilliant..!

She's a beauty 😍
Great capture 👏
It was just here in Aurora, Oregon (KUAO). We miss her already 😢
What a Beauty! How many stories high is that nose-gear ? ! 😅
It is about 8' from the fuselage at the nose wheel well to the ground.
I love the sound of those Wright R-3350's pre-turbo-compound design. This is what the Boeing B-29 sounds like, same engines, with 2,200 HP each.
Malgré son âge vénérable,j’adore toujours autant cet avion !!
Flew a TWA Constellation from IND to SAN in ‘62 for boot camp.
Great capture

Belle observation aérienne 🙂👍

An L-749, correct?
On the list of sexiest airplanes:
Connie
Stagerwing Beech
Cessna 190/190
Boeing 757
Feel free to add to this list.
Is dc6 okay? I really like Pmdgs rendition of it in msfs
F-14. P-51, F4U

Lots of curves and long legs as well
It's only a 749.
So much for the "Stabilized Approach" eh?
Poetry.
I wasn't regretting skipping OSH this year but after watching this...regret!
