    Have you ever tried a slip float with the bobber stop and live minnows it's fun seeing that float disappear and u don't have to worry about spooking the fish very precise fishing also can jig the float to trigger a bite

    If you follow Richard Jean the fishing machine, I do believe he has a video on how he makes his jigs weedless. This should help you with less hangups in those brush piles.

    Love the live scope. I think it could be helpful for cats. We only got to see two or three videos with it for cats. We all would love to see the live scope for bigger fish. But great times man.

    Getting that time of year for me pretty close pretty close to crappie fish in time the ice just went out on the Mississippi up here in Clinton Iowa got to give it maybe a week or so millions a gizzard shad dying everywhere up here every year around this time so got to let that stuff clear up and then they crappie usually start biting pretty good where I go 😆

    That's my favorite thing to do is crappie fish with bobbers and fish deep water brush piles like trees that fall down in the Mississippi I go out to the end of them and drop down deep finish the ends of them until I get to one where I catch a fish and then I just stay right there don't have any kind of sonar or a boat I just walked shoreline

    Excellent video. Have you seen info on Humminbird's new Target Lock for their live scope? The transducer is not mounted on the trolling motor, but like yours, is mounted separately. However, when on target lock for the view desired, the transducer rotates automatically to retain the selected view.

    Justin, have you thought of trying down view instead of forward view with the LS for suspending for cats under the kayak? Im not sure but I think it would let you be able to see multiple if not all 4 baits suspended?

    Yes sir my local lake of choice has a 50 crappie per person a day limit. Now they are wanting to make it where out of those 50 that you can only keep 7 fish over 12 inches. Lol...So much for eating them slabs... They are also wanting to change the 50 a day limit to 25 a day... Needless to say there are a lot of unhappy fishermen.

    • @KayakCatfish
      @KayakCatfish  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Sounds like they are wanting to improve the quality of the fishery. 50 fish per person seems pretty excessive

    • @michaelmiller3846
      @michaelmiller3846 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@KayakCatfish ...They changed it to 25 once upon a time for a little while but they changed it back to 50. I don't have a problem with the 25 or the 50 limit. It is only being able to keep 7 over 12 inches that I don't like. If I am going fishing to make a meal for my family I need a few more than 7 fish. Say 12 would work a lot better for us.
